"Wow, what an holiday. Abslotely fantasic hotel, clean spacious, friendly staff and great facilities. America goes over the top with things. This hotel was real class and the staff did everything possible to make your stay. We eve had room servic at 2am. The hotel food was of massive portions and there was a wide variety and choice each day. Steak was a speciality, which was plentyful and well cooked to your liking. Our holiday was great. The culture in LA is fanatstic. The city as such an atmosphere. There is enterinament 24/7 for all ages and types of interssts. The weather was good at this time of year. The casinos are world famous and great fun. What a great week!"

"Excellent - hotel was recommended by some American friends who are regulars at this hotel - very nice, quiet and comfortable. Rooms are big and some are a long walk from the lifts so can take 10 mins to get down to the main floor. Restaurants are excellent value and I had nothing but good service and nice food during the week that I stayed. This is not a hotel to be glamorous in or to be seen at - but you can get a cab to the strip for that sort of thing and for shopping as there are no shops nearby. The shop in the hotel is small and nothing special - if you want hotel shops stay on the strip and get overcharged instead! I had a wonderful holiday there and will definitely go back - no desire to stay at any other hotel in Vegas."

"Stayed here as visiting Las Vegas for a family wedding. Not a problem being just off strip. The room was excellent, very clean, big and comfortable, maid came in every day to make beds and change towels etc. The all you can eat buffet is excellent and great value, half the price of many hotels on the strip. Not as glitzy as some strip hotels but great value, staff very friendly except the security guards. I was standing with my four children, buggy and four suitcases just outside the reception whilst my husband settled the bill and was asked to move on as I was near to the gaming machines. I tried to explain the situation but Mr Big seemed to take his job just a bit too seriously and asked me to move on, not an easy task! He did not, I might add offer to help, Have a nice day!! All in all a great stay I would book here again. Went to Las Vegas with lots of other family members who stayed at various hotels, so visited many of the famous ones on the strip and the rooms where comparable to The Orleans only twice as much money."

Best Kept Secret
"On our first trip to Las Vegas we were relied entirely on the reviews posted here to select the Orleans as our place to stay. We couldn't have made a better choice. We were there for 4 nights from the 27th to the 31st of July. Check in took all of 10 minutes and our spacious and very clean room was on the 17th floor over looking the pool. The fun book you receive upon checking in give you a multitude of discounts and we took advantage of many including two for one tickets to see the Righteous Brothers. The show was fantastic and although our seats were in the back, just before the preformance began a very friendly usher escorted us to the front row where two seats went unclaimed. Many thanks to him. The shuttle made it very easy to get to the strip and we visited it several times but we were always glad to get back to the realtive calm of the Orleans. Found in the Orleans and sorely lacking in the strip casinos were reasonable priced table games. During our stay there were always two $3.00 minimum blackjack tables and at least 6 $5.00 minimum tables. Also, there was a $2.00 craps table and a $.50 roulette table. Try finding that on the strip. From this site we were aware there was no coffee maker in the rooms so we brought our own so that was not an issue. A thanks to Trip Advisor for this service which made our first visit to Las Vegas a huge success and when we return you can be assured we will be at the Orleans."

Great selection on or off the strip
"I stayed at The Orleans in July and quite honestly, was VERY impressed. Because of the price we paid (and the fact that it was off the strip), I was expecting something sub par. Quite the contrary! This is Vegas' best kept secret. The rooms are huge and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. During our stay, we enjoyed the movie theater and the bowling alley, both of which were very spacious and clean. You couldn't beat the prices and selections at the restaurants. And the shuttle service did the trick when you wanted to get around the area. Overall, the Orleans is a gem and we have already booked ourselves to go back in January. It's a great spot for any type of group because there is really something for everyone. After seeing some of the hotels on the strip, I became more proud of the fact that I was staying at The Orleans! There were only two downsides of this hotel and both were minor; 1. I didn't like the notion of having to pay to workout (but they do offer you one freebie with your stay) and 2. I wish that more of their restaurants stayed open late (for those late night wanderers!). Other than that, I really can't imagine staying anywhere else in Vegas."

"This was my first experience at the Orleans, I have been to Vegas two other times and stayed on the strip (Circus Circus and Flamingo). My wife and I were there from July 19 thru the 23rd and it was marvelous. Our room was on the tenth floor, very comfortable and overlooked the pool area. Only things missing were a refrigerator and a coffee pot. (Also, of note, no exhust fans in the bathroom.) The hotel is spacious and laid out very well. The casino and restaurants are on the first floor while the bowling alley, 18 plex threatre, and amusement areas are on the second. The pool area was very nice with two separate pools plus a hot tub. There was also a workout room that overlooked the pool area as well. The waitresses were very accessible, drinks flowed freely. Shuttle runs every half hour to the strip if you're interested. We were surprised to find the package that we booked though Funjet included all of our meals at the buffet for our entire stay. I would recommend this place to everyone. Caution, if you are renting a car, do not use Payless. Now that experince was horrible. It took an hour to get the car, customer service was lousy, and the car was awful. Spend the six extra dollars a day and go to a national firm."

Great for the family with young children
"Just came back from the Orleans Hotel. Very clean and large room. Less crowded. Shuttle to the Strip saves a lot of time to find a parking. Swimming pools are suitable to little children (only 1 - 4 1/2 ft deep). Reasonably priced food. Friendly staffs. We will absolutely stay the hotel again!"

Great family resort
"Stayed here in April 2003 with our 2 boys 11 and 15. Had a room with a view of the strip which was spacious and clean. Swimming pool was loved by the kids as was the 10 pin and the movies. Enjoyed a buffet meal in the French Market and a really good coffee bar. Only thing that could have made our stay better would have been a coffee maker in our room. Otherwise a perfect place to take the family."

"Stayed at the Orleans from July 15-July 16 and absolutely loved it. The rooms were very clean and very spacious, and the service was great! The price of food and drink was very inexpensive compared to that of the strip. Not to mention the quality of the food was exceptional. A free shuttle to the strip (Barbary Coast hotel and casino), was provided and ran every 30 minutes. I will be going back with friends in January and plan on introducing them to this great hotel!"

A break from the crowded Strip!
"Like other reviewers of Vegas hotels, my family and I chose the Orleans based mainly upon others' comments. Never having been to Las Vegas before, I did not know what to expect as far as rooms and casino experiences. After dodging pedestrian traffic up and down the Strip, in and out of hotels and casinos, I am glad we stayed a few blocks away at the Orleans. There seemed to be more guests of the hotel playing the slots, and because of its location off strip, there was none of the in and out traffic of people. The extras, like a bowling alley and movie theatre, made our stay there with the kids a really great choice, especially since neither my wife and I are much on gambling. Great hotel to "base" out of when in Vegas! Convenient shuttles dropped you off in the middle of the action. The pool was also convenient, located just outside of the elevators, which made it unnecessary to go through the casino dripping wet. Security at the elevators made you feel safe and carefree. This is the place to go when you have kids tagging along!"

Even better than we expected!
"We just returned from our stay at the Orleans. After reading the reviews on this site, it sounded like a good deal. It exceeded our expectations and we can not wait until our next Vegas vacation that will be sure to include a stay at this hotel. The staff was courteous. The rooms were nicely appointed and very clean. A true bargain and a nice break from the noisy strip. If you can not afford the Mirage, (as we could not)! The Orleans will give you the best value for your money.PS Try TripReservations for a great rate! This is a PERSONAL note we are not in any way affliated with the site!"

Comfortable and Friendly
"We've stayed at the Orleans twice now. The last time was May for eight days. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The peple working at the Orleans went out fo their way to accomadate our every need. The entertainment was great every night, The buffet and restaurants were reasonable and the food was great, everything from steak and eggs to Primerib. The pool area was great as well as the service around it. We do miss Big Al's pool party though. They have a good selection of machines, especially Video Poker. The tables were reasonably priced and always busy. The only minor inconvenience was the shuttle, with all the traffic I think they should put on an extra shuttle on weekends. All in all we had a great time at a really comfortable and entertaining place to stay."
