Had a great time
"Stayed at the Royal Caribbean in Late January 2005. Service was excellent , food was great and reasonably priced. The only problem we had was the temperature of the pool, so we took the shuttle to the Royal Sands. Overall , it was a great vacation and I would not hesitate to go back to one of the Royals."

Pools will now be heated
"Pools will now be heated. Phase 1 pool at the Royal Sands is now heated and next year the Royal Islander's pool will be heated. 2006 the Caribbean will get a heated pool as well."

Can't get enough
"My wife and I purchased a time-share at the Royal Caribbean pre-construction. It was the best thing we have ever done. The staff, the grounds, and the restraunts are great. It is very laid back if you want it to be, or you can get real active if you want. There are many activities that are offered everyday for free. The best thing about it, for me is, you don't have to leave the complex, they even have a small grocery store, unless you want to go on tours. The villa fits 6 people comfortabaly and are completely cleaned everyday of the week except Sunday. My wife and I enjoyed our experience so much we also purchased a consecutive week at the Royal Islander when it was being built, and also a week at the Sea Auqarium Resort in Curacao. All three are beautiful resorts. I would recommend them to anyone."

Had a great time. Our 1st visit, but certainly not our last.
"We booked through CheapCaribbean.com and spent a week at the Royal Caribbean in July 2004. The resort is great. The food in the restaurants was better than I expected and not outrageously overpriced. The rooms and the entire resort were very clean and well maintained. The beaches are beautiful and clean and not crowded. We made it clear to our timeshare contact that there was no chance that we were going to buy and she was very respectful of our honesty. We even showed up at a couple of the free events and she was very cordial and even gave us suggestions on where to shop, etc. without hounding us about timeshares. We would definitely recommend this resort."

Great vacation. Lots of features. But be cautious of the timeshare pressure.
"I would rate the Royal Carribbean 7 out of 10. We traded a week with Marriott Vacation Club to stay at the Royal Carribbean. The accomidations were not as nice as Marriott, but were very acceptable. Royal Carribean is between the Royal Islander and Royal Mayan. All three resorts are very similar in quality and features. The only difference we could see is different decor in the rooms and around the resort. Pros: Full feature condo with daily cleaning service. Use of 4 resorts. Several Restaurants and Bars to choose from. Tradewinds restaurant was excellent. Many daily activities. Onsite car rental. Onsite REASONABLY PRICED grocery store. Very clean rooms. Friendly staff. Location is close but not too close to everything Cancun. Get the guacamole and chips at the pool bar. The best guacamole I have ever had. Cons: Not being a owner of the time share, we were frequently bothered by your personal concierge to join them for Breakfast or Lunch. High pressure to go to the timeshare presentation. We resisted and were bothered every day. The rooms were very clean and nice but were dated. Lots and lots of stairs and walking. The pool is on the fourth floor, the beach is on the 1st floor and our room was on the 7th. Piece of advice: DO NOT come in on Saturday. After spending all day flying to Cancun. We spent 2 1/2 hours unexpectedly in Imigration to get into Mexico and this is common on Saturdays because most resorts are Sat to Sat. Overall our trip to Cancun was very nice. After the long wait in imigration, and being bombarded by taxi drivers. The Royal staff pleasantly greets you and takes your bags to your room while you check in. We spent Sunday and most of Monday lounging by the pool drinking Pina Coladas and relaxing, while dining at night at Tradewinds and going to La Isla mall. Tuesday, we rented a car and ventured down to Playa Del Carmen (45 min) and visited the ruins of El Rey (south hotel zone in Cancun). Be sure to visit Tulum and take advantage of the free snorkeling equipment and sailboats. By Saturday, we were well rested, tanned and more relaxed than we had been all year. We would highly recommend Royal Resorts, just dodge your personal concierge and dont get pulled into the high pressure timeshare presentation. Unless, you want to. I hear that if you hold out long enough you may get a free dinner at the Bandstand."

GREAT PLACE TO STAY BUT A FEW PRECAUTIONS...
"All the Royal Resorts in Cancun are lovely and the service is excellent. We stayed in the Sands in January and at the Royal Carribean last week. A few points to note about the Royal Carribean: * There is no onsite workout facility --- you have to take the shuttle which only runs every hour to the Sands if you want to work out. * Expect to walk ALOT. The hotel is on a hill and easily a 3 block walk to the road/bus stop. * Plan your flight to leave shortly after check out time --- the "hospitality room" is abysmal! We spent an entire day "floating" around the hotel due to bad weather. * Avoid Oct/Nov --- its rainy season! * Lots of pressure to attend a sales meeting even if you already own another time share like we do. It can be very annoying you need to be firm and say NO again and again. Otherwise, everything was wonderful. Don't miss the Spa at the Sands, it is well worth the time and effort!"

"We stayed in a 2 bedroom with full kitchen and a great view of both pool and ocean. The resort was great and so were the amenities. We will certainly return!"

"I have stayed at this resort twice now during the month of March and highly recommend it to small groups or couples. The villa layout is perfert in size, clean, includes daily maid service and also has an on-site grocery store. You can't beat the weekly rental rate for this type of resort and service in Cancun. Pick this one, you will enjoy!"

Royal Caribbean - a brilliant experience!
"We have just returned from our honeymoon at The Royal Caribbean in Cancun. We had a fabulous time. The resort was absolutely beautiful, the grounds were well looked after and the whole resort was incredibly clean. We found all the staff to be extremely friendly, especially in the Tradewinds restaurant where the food was excellent, and also reasonably priced. Our sons had a brilliant time in the large clean pool and on the lovely beach. Overall this is a fantastic resort and is highly recommended."

A Royalty welcome
"I am a time share member of the Royal Carribean Resort. Every year our stay is an unforgettable one. From the moment we arrive we are treated like royalty. Two thumbs-up for their hospitality, Thankyou Royal Carribean!! I look forward to being there next year to enjoy the red carpet stay. There are many activities on site for adults as well as for children. The simplicity of scheduling and booking our tours of the city is also very accessible and convenient. Thanks!!"
