Better than home. (Don't tell the wife)
"Absolutely brilliant. Stayed for a long weekend to attend a wedding nearby and the grub here was better than the wedding breakfast! The owners are not only great people but nothing is too much trouble and it was spotless."

"What a wonderful holiday we had. The guest house comes highly recommended from us. We stayed for four nights and Geoff and Teresa made us feel very welcome from our arrival with a lovely pot of tea and the Easter Bunny had left an Easter Egg for our daughter, which was a lovely thank you Our accommodation was excellent and the breakfast was superb, do try the srambled eggs and smoked salmon, divine! The accommodation was spotlessly clean The location is stunning, wonderful sea views and sunsets, We will definitely stay again, thank you"

Great room, views and food!
"Spent three days here over Easter and really enjoyed our stay. Teresa and Geoff were great hosts. Had a fabulous room with panoramic views over Cardigan bay. Our room had all the usual luxuries as well as the nice extra touches such as fresh fruit, sherry, tv with dvd (and a large selection of dvds to choose from). The food was fabulous: local ingredients, perfectly cooked and served in a dining room with gorgeous views over the sea. Would recommend having dinner there at least one night: some of the best food we had during our holiday in Wales. The B&B was itself nicely located just outside overcrowded Barmouth and right next to a beautiful beach. It was also within easy reach of the sights of Snowdonia. Although the rates may seem expensive when booking, they were really a bargain for what you get! Already looking forward to our next visit!"

A marvellous find
"We were surprised to find that Geoff and Teresa had only been at Morwendon since October as the place felt so wonderfully well established. Everywhere is spotless, spacious and well furnished. Don't worry about finding anywhere to eat in the area - eat Geoff's dinners and Teresa's breakfasts. Afternoon tea on the terrace looking out over Cardigan bay is a joy. The sunset form the dining room is fantastic. By the time they have completed all their plans it will be 5 star."

Three night break
"Booked a three night break based on the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. The superior rooms were large and comfortable with a panoramic view of the bay. Breakfast and dinner were excellent with a good choice. Geoff and Teresa are excellent hosts and make you feel very welcome. We even saw dolphins in the bay on two mornings whilst having breakfast. Highly recommended."

"Very welcoming, particularly as we turned up without a prior booking! Super Guest House in a commanding location, clean and comfortable with lots of nice touches - fruit basket, complimentary sherry in the room, and the DVD library is a winner! Lovely hosts, who gave us good and accurate advice on local attractions and restaurants. And the stopover was topped off by a smashing breakfast! We would definitely recommend the Morwendon, and intend to visit again in the future."

"Stayed for 1 night dinner, bed & breakfast. There was a friendly welcome from Teresa with coffee in the lounge. Our room was very comfortable with a big bay window with beautiful views over Cardigan Bay. Gin and tonics in the lounge before dinner. Very good food using local produce prepared by Geoff (vegetarians catered for). A good resonably priced wine list. A most enjoyable and relaxing short stay. We will stay again"

Perfect short break away
"This was a very special short break away made perfect at Morwendon House. We booked on the strengh of the website information and were a little anxious whether it would live up to expectations. However, we were absolutely thrilled with all aspects from the room we had with a spectacular view, to the warm welcome and fab food. We would highly recommend this hotel and will encourage family and friends to book a break away."
