Fantastic value for money
"Myself and seven of my friends went to Edinburgh for my Hen weekend from 19-21 Oct 2007. This hotel was ideal, it is ten minutes from Princess Street for all the main shops and pubs. I booked four twin rooms and every room had a double bed and a single bed in it. The buffet breakfast it fantastic, everything you could think of and you can go up as many times as you want. The hotel is really clean and also the staff are all friendly. This Premier Travel Inn is ideal for any ages, as at night it was really quiet. Also there is a bus stop five minutes down the road that goes straight to Edinburgh Airport and it only costs £3.00, takes about 20 minutes. We did laugh, as I arranged a surprise and we got collected from the Airport by a stretch limo and went back on the bus!! Places that are worth going to are The Dome, beautiful bar and serves great cocktails. Also Tigerlilys is a great club, all these places have a dress code, so you can't wear jeans. Edinburgh Dungeons are a great laugh too."

This is a great place to stay when spend...
"This is a great place to stay when spending time in Edinburgh. Stayed here a few times now over the last two years. The airport bus (£5rtn) drops you off at the Haymarket Train Station. Hotel is only a short walk from stop. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Relaxing bar and dining area. From hotel only 10 minute walk to centre of Edinburgh. If you do not want to dine in hotel at night. Try the restaurant across the road - Ignite. Wonderful food !"

Very nice stay here.
"Located just a short walk from the train station, the Premier Inn was an good choice. They had a phone in the lobby dedicated to a cab company that would come quickly. Rooms were nice and affordable."

One of the best in the Premier Travel Inn group
"We stay at hotels in the Premier Travel Inn group a lot, and this is definitely the best we have stayed in. The rooms are certainly the most comfortable of the ones we have used, and the location is very central, about a 10 minute walk to the old town. I was in a room on my own, and the receptionist who checked me in was discreet and only showed me the room number on the card so that people couldn't overhear. She also made me feel comfortable by showing me the emergency numbers I could use if I got into trouble during my stay. Would definitely stay again."

Clean and Good Value
"Nothing amazing to write home about but this hotel was clean and central and good value for money! The room was huge though it seemed a bit too big and was somehow lacking in furniture even though there was a double bed, two bedside cabinets, a few drawers, desk, and wardrobe. The bathroom and toilet was also clean with a dispenser for showel gel/shampoo. There's also a heated towel rail. The room had a small-ish tv with access to 10 channels. Also had a hairdryer and tea making facilities. The bed was too soft but was comfortable and I had a good nights sleep as it was quiet with my room facing the carpark. The hotel is in an excellent location with it close to Haymarket Train Station and walkable distant to Central Edinburgh with a selection of supermarkets, restaurants and even a cinema down the road. Recommended as it is good value for money and is clean and not run-down."

A good deal for the money
"The Travel Inn is a no frills type of hotel. The rooms are clean with a decent contemporary decor. Considering the cost of the other hotels in Edinburgh, the Travel Inn chain is a bargain. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to Princess Street and the historic area. My biggest complaint is that the parking is limited, and if you can not get the limited on site parking, you have to pay for parking in the lot across the street, which does not seem as safe and secure. The beds are also formed by pushing two twin beds together, so you have the bed seam and two sets of sheets. Unfortunately, a lot of English hotels do this with the beds. If you are looking for decent no frills accommodations and a reasonable location for a good price, this is a good place to consider"
