"I mostly stay in ocean hotel which is always has been clean modern rooms , showers has changing lights quite cool so does the bed head board , I always have great things to say about butlins as have been back time and time again staff are excellent considering most of them on minimum wage (unfair ) for what they do , so much for the kids , yes some parts are dated but so is over places like chess ton world of adventures etc i think it's good to keep some old things around like butlins helter skelter ."

Wave Hotel Bunk Beds
"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, however we have two girls aged 11 and 13 and the bunkbeds were so small and the room totally claustrophobic. The room is so tiny (more like a cupboard)
and could be a little bigger or put an age restriction on them so you are fully aware of the size. These are fine for 5 year olds..
Everything else was fine although the cleaning staff seemed to forget about cleaning or making the bunk beds in the hotel they were just left they did not even straighten the duvet.
The pool and everything else was good fun for the kids my youngest loved it, but my oldest wanted to go home. We left two days earlier.
Our short break was good fun and we have booked to go again in the new Seaside apartments next time, I hope we have a little more room. They do not do a breakfast plan in this accommodation, only breakfast and dinner and as we like to eat out we were forced to cater for ourselves which is a shame."

Tots break for 4 nights
"Brilliant break with my family for my grandson's 1st birth day. The shoreline hotel was perfect for little ones. Butlins have thought of everything even down to the toilet seat in the room having a mini seat for potty training tots .
There was so much to do for all ages.
The only thing that was a tad disappointing was the fact that a small adult couldn't get on the tea cup or lady bird rides which were ideal for a one year old.
The staff were brilliant and at 7.30 am they were hoovering the amusements , cleaning the bar areas etc.
The canteen for chalet users were full of choices for evening meals ( 7 different ones each night & a chilled buffet with salads , meats etc as well )
We could also have Ella's food pouches & Heinz jars of food ...very impressive
The tots were totally catered for with shows from fireman Sam, Thomas the tank engine , billy bear etc.
Tots disco was great & the Alladian panto "

Won't be going back
"Dirty damp accommodation food tasted like yesterday's leftovers whole place geared around fleecing you for money and I'm not posh but I certainly felt posh among the type of clientele staying here, Bbutlins Minehead much nicer indeed. "

"Stayed at Ocean hotel but it's gone downhill, the carpets are filthy rough tout rooms and stairwells and the remote control in the kids den was absolutely filthy with no back for the battery compartment. Some minor stains on bedding but no real issue as beds were comfortable.
Butlers were brilliant, very helpful.
Restaurant OK to eat, not piping hot food but feel a lot of tinned and frozen food are creeping in, especially at breakfast where almost everything is fried.
Over zealous sports staff, my daughter was not her best on the high ropes and was accused of delaying to get another free go.
Splash water world needs a revamp its showing its age and the changing rooms stink of urine.
Center stage smells rank and floors are sticky.
It's getting expensive there now, go karts trampoline climbing wall £5 a go, zip wire £6 and high ropes £10. You need a mortgage if you've more than 2 older children coming here.
Spar shop on resort very expensive, Morrisons is a mile down the road.
Last of all. The Fairground. The powers that be must go something to change the Rock and roll music. The staff loathe it and 95% of holidaymakers weren't even born then.
The staff tried hard to please everyone even though they are paid minimum wage.
Would I go again, yes cos kids loved it but it will be my last visit."

Worst holiday ever.
"My two sons and I booked a 4 day holiday at Bognor Regis resort which cost a lot of money. On arrival, the room was really dirty, stain on the bed sheet, bathroom not cleaned. To top it up, my necklace was stolen. I reported to the manager in charge, she said she would look into it but you can all guess what happened. Nothing came out of this investigation.
No one should waste their money booking this resort."

best holiday ever
"We are currently at the toddler weekend and its amazing, the hotel wave is great the food at the cave is great being able to redeem a food voucher to go to one of the other restaurants is such a good idea. The shows are good, the children were amazed by the Dino baby 3d show (£5 per head) my son now thinks he has seen real baby dinosaurs. The arcades are very good with more than enough machines. The fun fair is good. The swimming pool is amazing. Our son loves his submarine bed room.
I would recommend it to anyone all the staff are very friendly. Am going to be booking Christmas hear tomorrow.
Yes you need to bring plenty of cash for the arcades and extras and the food and drink is inflated but itâs a holiday who cares.

"Disappointed, paid to come on just for tots week and all the rides etc stop at about four. Do Butlins think all children go to bed after tea time? The fanfare outside which is good was open 12-4? Four hours then nothing outside at all? The accommodation was poor broken floorboards shabby condition and I upgraded! "

"Following my husbands death I booked a weekend for myself and two daughters, hoping to relax and have some fun after the grim few months we had just been through. I booked by telephone and told the person I booked with that I wanted to stay in a hotel. No problem. She took all the details and then asked me again what accommodation I wanted. I again said hotel and she assured me the booking had been made. On my confirmation it does not mention that it is a hotel or a chalet. On arrival we went to book in at the hotel but we're told we were in the wrong place. We had been put in Jellyfish Grove. We opened the curtains just in time to see a man vomiting. I had paid £149.85 for food. We could not find anywhere to eat that was open and would serve us and in fact we paid for dinner the night we arrived and breakfast the next day. My booking number was BG6912708. We went home on Saturday afternoon. We had complained about not being in a hotel but I was told I had got what I paid for. I want to make an official complaint but cannot find an address. The weekend was 90s reloaded. We came home early more stressed and miserable than before we went."

"I went away for 5 days with my two sons and mum for just for tots week. Unfortunately on day 2, I got the worse food poisoning from the food court ever. I have never been so ill. I was unable to get out of bed, we cut the holiday short and returned home. While still at Butlins, we went to guest services to be told it could have been a bug, yes maybe however no one else in the party caught it and for sure they would have. When I arrived home I also rang guest services to be told a form had been filled out on my behalf to say I felt well and there was no issue, however this was not true! The lack of communication was shocking. I feel like they tried to pass the blame, was told someone would call and you guessed it no one called. I was told I had to provide a sample for my GP to prove I had food poisoning. "

"Cancelled family trip over the bank holiday weekend because of an emergency medical condition for my son. I tried to call and change the dates because of the situation and I was told that I will lose all the fee that i paid and it can't be refunded or transferred regardless of the insurance.
This is a RIP OFF POLICY "

Brilliant 70s weekend - Feb 2016
"My friend and I had booked a twin room but on arrival, we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment, Oyster Bay, Turtle 8. It was spacious and clean. No complaints about the the accommodation at all. The entertainment was first class. We used the indoor swimming pool and we ate at several of the restaurants on site. From start to finish, this was a fantastic weekend. Can't wait till the next one.
