I had an appointment to keep in Surbiton...
"I had an appointment to keep in Surbiton, the only hotel in the area was Travelodge Tolworth Tower, the room I was allocated was on the fourth floor, on entering the room it smelt of damp, it was so worn, no plug in the bath, no shower or bath soaps, the bedding was sparce, no biscuits, it was as little as the hotel could provide. I informed the reception that I had no soap, as the receptionish was evidently not from Britain she found it diddicult to undrstand that I had no sosp, but promised that it would br delivered to my room, four hours later it had not arrived, a local shop was able to sell me the bathroom soaps I required.
The breakfast was fine but the receptionish serving offered no greeting and the placed lacked everything, manners, qwelcome, good rooms and most of all at £70.00 a night it lacks reality and value."
