"An absolutely beautiful place to stay. We stayed here for a wedding along with other guests. They helpfully held breakfast back a litlle later and it was delicious.

The whole place has been very tastefully decorated and the rooms and bathrooms are lovely."

"We can only echo what all the earlier reviewers have said. A great find and one we have no hesitation in recommending to others. David and Louise are friendly and welcoming and deserve every success in their bed and breakfast business"

Incrediblly beautiful farmhouse B&B set in the heart of the Somerset countryside

"Louise and Dave have worked really hard to make Frog Street Farmhouse into the B&B that it is today and the love, care and attention to detail that they have shown the building and the rooms is also evident in their attitudes towards their guests – we were made to feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived at the property and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay whilst in the area for a wedding.

The bedroom was beautifully renovated with some real personal touches to give it character, spacious bath/shower and lots of light and hot water whilst the bed was very comfortable as well. The cooked breakfast was just perfect for the morning after a rather heavy night (twice) and the full Sky Sport and Sky+ package was a real bonus too and Dave didn’t even seem phased when we suggested we might be about to run out of petrol and didn’t know where the nearest petrol station was – out came the lawn mower jerry can to provide us with enough to get the car to the nearest petrol pump.

Annie the dog proves to be an interested voyeur of all proceedings in the farmhouse and it was only a pity that we could not stay longer but will definitely be looking to book back in if we need somewhere to stay in and around Taunton in the future"

Super Somerset at its best

"We stayed for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

The rooms (that we saw) were great and there was a very comfortable communal living room too.

The highlight for us was the garden - in July it looked and smelt fabulous. Louise and David obviously put a lot of effort into that. This, combined with the adjoining Somerset countryside is absolutely fantastic - especially in summer.

As previously commented, the breakfasts were fantastic and the general friendliness of Louise and David really make this place a success. I really appreciated the fact that while sitting out in the garden reading a newspaper, suddenly a tea tray would appear or a jug of iced water. That would not happen at many other establishments."

"What a find! When we booked we didn't realise what a treat was in store ... everything was just perfect. We were made to feel completely at home and treated with warm hospitality throughout our stay. We had a super, really tasty meal on the first evening. The beds are so comfortable and it is obvious that everything has been carefully sourced with comfort in mind. The whole place is tastefully furnished and truly delightful in tranquil surroundings. We were very happy in the enchanting Orchard Suite and would thoroughly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone."

"This is a beautifully decorated place to stay with big, clean and charming rooms and a lovely garden. The owners, David and Louise, gave us excellent service (including generous cooked breakfasts) and were very tolerant and kind to our small children. I would strongly recommend this to anyone staying in the area or considering a country break."

"As per the previous reviewer, my husband & I were blown away with the quality of the accommodation & service of this little gem. We stayed here as a stopover point from London to Cornwall... and could only wished we stayed longer.

Unlike most places, the photos of this place definitely do not do it justice. It is refurbished to an incredibly high quality standard, comparable to a five-star boutique country hotel, and certainly not typical for a guest house. Very charming - with lovely wooden beams and stone brick walls in our room coupled with tasteful furnishings - as far from "kitsch" as you could get. Comfortable & elegant.

Attention to detail is faultless - from biscuits and jaffa cakes to go with your tea, to a torch in the drawer set.

The amenities are nothing short of luxury. The TV is equipped with a Sky box & is a lovely, large flat screen TV. Our room came with a power shower, lovely toiletries, fluffy towels etc. We had such a restful stay, and only wished we stayed a couple of nights longer.

Louise & David are lovely hosts - unintrusive, but friendly all the same. Accommodated all our requests and needs - including a late arrival (upon which tea and biscuits were cheerfully served), and perfectly cooked breakfast for an early start at quarter past seven no less.

I simply cannot imagine a better place to stay at Taunton. Would thoroughly recommend."

"When we arrived at the Farmhouse we were amazed at how beautiful it was. The photo's on the website had not done it justice. It was idyllic. We were greeted immediately upon our arrival and given a tour of the house. We were shown to our room and offered refreshments. When asked about our destination that evening Louise and David offered us a lift down to the hotel we were attending a wedding reception at and also happily said they would pick us up.
The room was beautiful and we couldnt believe the size.Everything we needed was made available. The nights sleep was fantastic and we actually wished the weather would have been a little bit colder so we could have used the heated mattress!!
Breakfast was perfect with an abundance of food made available. Again in the morning Daid and Louise offered to drive us back to Taunton to the train station.
We couldnt have been made more welcome or felt more comfortable had we been at our own home or staying with friends. This place is truely beautiful. The only downside was having to go home the next day."

"Fantastic accomodation and excellent location. Situated near Taunton just seven miles from the M5 the location is excellent for a stop over on route to Devon/Cornwall or to visit the area around Taunton which is very picturesque.
The owners are extremely friendly and would provide an evening meal at reasonable cost and also on a gluten free basis.
Highly recommended for short or long break."
