"I booked this hotel directly on the phone for £60 per twin room. Very helpful and polite staff. If you do take the car make sure that you use the Talbot Street carpark which is close to the hotel. Ask the reception staff at the hotel for a reduction slip for overnight parking(£2-from 5pm-9am)to be used when tou leave the carpark. The hotel itself is in a good position, within easy reach of the centre on foot Very clean and welcoming. My daugher and I enjoyed our one night stay.....our only complaint was the breakfast,we arrived at the breakfast room about 8:30am, we were seated and served one small pot of tea between the two of us,and gazed at the one piece of bacon at the buffet bar and rather dry scrambled eggs and waited and waited for it to be replenished.Did not happen. My daughter then overheard a argument from the kitchen as to why there was nothing much on offer. It was a very busy time in all the Nottingham hotels,as the Ashes Test was at Trent Bridge and the hotel was packed with English and Australians fans,so why where they not prepared? No-one came near us to ask about another drink..quite frankly I think they were embarrassed at the breakfast on offer. We gave up trying to find someone to ask.At £7 each I think they had a cheek that morning! My tip is do not commit yourself to the breakfast until you have seen what is on offer. If it is a week day ,and you have the time, maybe a stroll into the town centre and try Littlewoods cafe or Debenhams for between £2-3for a cooked breakfast I expect we caught them at a very busy time ,and hopefully most days the breakfast is as good as the other service in the hotel."

"I stayed 2 nights at the Citilodge and i have to say that previous reviewers have more or less got it spot on. Its a great place to stay for £60 a night. The only things that i can criticize is that the shower is very basic and needs a upgrade. Also the windows could do with better soundproofing to keep the noise from the pubs opposite out. (Hoilday Inn Express Nottingham is excellent in this regard). All in all an excellent stay with very friendly staff."

Loved this hotel
"I stayed three nights at the Citilodge and can highly recommend it. Lovely hotel. Wonderful staff - especially Andrew at the front desk. Air conditioned rooms of a very nice size. Modern furnishings. Very nice little touches - like cookies (biscuits) left in your room with your tea/coffee maker. Also a really good breakfast buffet in an airy, lovely dining room. Really loved the Citilodge."

"Had a great stay, went for the sales in Nottingham and the hotel ended up being the bargin of the weekend ! The breakfast was great, all you could eat, english and continental, lots of choice for 7.00 Very helpfull staff, on check in ( Jeremy i Think ) gave us some options on which room would suit us best, went for a room with a corner bath."

"I was extremely impressed with the Citilodge. For £58.00 you cannot go wrong! It is very clean, modern, well equipped (ironing board, tea/coffee facilities inc biscuits!). And for additional £6.00 you could have a buffet breakfast, which was excellent. The location is fantastic for the city center, however we had one small problem - at the time of booking we were advised that the hotel was a 5 minute walk away from the place we needed to visit. However when we arrived at the hotel it transpired it was infact about a 30 minute walk away! The staff were great - they booked us a taxi at their expense. I would most definitely stay at the Citilodge again."
