"Fantastic. My family had a fab time and my children aged 4 and 6 were made very welcome, so much so that they actually thought we were going to live there and when they found out they couldn't, wanted to stay longer! We all especially loved the brekky and our family room was both comfy and very roomy. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend the raincliffe hotel to anyone wanting to visit scarborough."

"It was just a flying visit -2 nights- but we were most impressed. The hotel is conveniently situated in the resort. The decor is excellent, everything is of the highest quality and the room was very comfortable. The whole place was spotlessly clean too. Breakfast kept you going for the whole day!
The owners were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful.
We'd be pleased to go back for longer."

"Never been to Scarborough before and we were only visiting to attend a wedding. We were made to feel so welcome by both the owners. We felt really comfortable, and were never made to feel that any request was a problem. They bent over backwards to make our stay very pleasant, even to the point of offering to make us sandwiches for lunch (they don't do lunches!) before we left for the wedding, which were very welcome as the wedding breakfast wasn't served until 5pm! The hotel has recently been rewired, replumbed, redecorated, and extended and was far more than a B&B, more like home from home. I'd recommend it for cleanliness; in the bedrooms: quality toiletries, digital TV, hairdryer, tea/coffee/biscuits, plenty of hangers; good wholesome and extensive breakfasts; and the most pleasant couple just brimming over with enthusiasm and only too willing to help. If I go to Scarborough again, I shall know where to stay!"

"Marvellous!
Katherine and Mal are obviously very enthusiastic about their guest house, and equally enthusiastic about Scarbourough. The result is a marvellous holiday. The food is both plentiful and excellent. The rooms are clean and tidy with plenty of tea and coffee. The beds are comfortable, and the weather is very good (for more of the time than you might imagine)
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again."

"We have just had an excellent weekend staying in the Raincliffe Hotel. Our room was fresh, clean and superbly comfortable. The hosts are a lovely generous couple who really know how to look after their guests. The Raincliffe is a beautiful guest house and I could have sat in the lounge all day. Scarborough itself was a real surprise and we hadn't been there before. It is totally unspoilt, very clean and retains its seafaring atmosphere that has been lost in many other costal resorts. I would recommend a visit to the Raincliffe and Scarborough with no hesitation at all."

"We arrived at the Hotel on Saturday of a bank holiday weekend without a booking and luckily they had a room available for us.
The Room was freshly decorated in a country style and was very clean.
In the room there was Tea, coffee and hot chocolate with biscuits that were complimentary.
The breakfast was very nice that my husband had and i had a vegetarian breakfast which was also nice.
The hotel is in an excellant position just a 10 mins walk to main centre, a pretty flat walk too - no hills and a 5-10 mins walk to the train station.
A great nights stay"

"We had a wonderful stay at the Raincliffe - what a lovely B&B! The whole hotel is clean, fresh, sunny and airy. The bedrooms are lovely with really comfy beds and lots of little extra touches. The breakfast were tasty and beautifully presented. The owners are really friendly and make you feel very welcome. I have stayed at a couple of B&B's in Scarborough and this one is by far the very best. Highly recommended to anybody visiting Scarborough."
