Look no further for your B&B
"Just got back from a fantastic 2 night stay at the almar. My parents stayed in a double room and myself a single, both were very well decorated and spotless. The breakfast was of the highest quality and nothing was too much trouble for the owners Phil and Bev who are very welcoming and run a great B&B. Would definitely recommend and visit the almar again."

Very High Standards
"We have now stayed four times in the space of one year at the Almar. Phil & Bev continue to maintain their very high standards. The place is spotless, the rooms are comfortable, and the breakfasts really set you up for the day. Good location in the quieter North Bay area of Scarborough, but close enough to the Marine Drive and the town centre. We are looking forward to our next break in Scarborough."

Well worth the visit
"We stayed at The Almar for 3 nights which was not long enough. The welcome on arrival was first class we were helped with our bags from the car to the room nothing was to much trouble. Our room was clean and tidy with nothing out of place and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was spotless and it was plain to see that Phill & Bev are very proud of their hotel. The breakfast was excellent and extra tea, coffee and toast was offered more than once. On visiting Scarbourgh again I would not consider staying anywhere but The Almar."

Really smashing, friendly B & B in a great location
"Have just spent two nights at The Almar and really couldn't ask for a better Bed & Breakfast, Phil & Bev went out of their way to welcome us and the level of service was second to none all weekend, from maps and directions to a local restaurant, taxi numbers and plenty of apple juice! The rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped, the location great and the breakfast delicious. Would definitely stay here again"

Home from Home
"We have stayed with Bev & Phil twice now this year. We just 'walked up' in August, and enjoyed our stay so much we booked ahead for another two nights late in September. The house is spotless, the decor unscuffed. The beds (we have tried 2 now) are very comfortable. The rooms have been light and airy (especially Room 2!), and are well appointed with TV, chairs, kettle, hospitality, etc. Breakfast is prompt, plentiful (more coffee/tea/toast on demand), and absolutely delicious. The owners go out of their way to be friendly and helpful, and we will be happy to make this our bases for future trips to Scarborough."

"We stayed at The Almar in October for 2 nights & was made most welcome by the owners Bev & Phil. Our room was very spacious & light with the most comforable bed! Immaculate presentation of both the room & the whole hotel. Breakfast was beautiful too! Ideal spot for expolring Scarborough! Look forward to our next visit!"

Lovely guest house.
"We returned from this guest house yesterday after a two night stay with three children aged 14,12 and 4 years of age. The guest house is well situated for Peaseholme Park although quite a long walk from the South side of Scarborough. We were made very welcome by Bev and Phil and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had two rooms, one with a double and single bed and the other with two singles and they were spotlessly clean. The breakfast was lovely and the children could go back for more cereal if they needed to. I would recommend the Almar for all ages."
