Brill Big Bear Active
"A great place to stay - central to Pickering - surrounded by good places to eat and a variety of foods on offer. The B n B is more than your average place to stay - a gorgeous, spacious house, clean and tastefully decorated (loved the bathroom). Amanda and Mike can do nothing more for you - a warm welcome, pots of tea and cake always available, good local foods at breakfast. The rooms are extremely comfortable and well kitted out for a relaxing stay. The garden is an added luxury, especially if you're with children. As for the mountain bike package - great guiding on some of the best trails England can offer, energy bars and drinks, bike maintanance, cleaning, boot drying and warming - everything they advertise is there for you - and no disappointments. P.S. check-out their sister company - Big Bear Alpine"

Like Hotel du Vin, but Friendlier!
"I was fortunate enough to stay for a night, and cannot say anything negative about it. The ambiance was spot on - as in my title, the room, especially the bathroom, reminded me of my favourite luxury hotel chain in terms of quality, comfort and 'feel. Add to this the lovely decor, charming, warm friendly way Mike and Amanda runt he place, and you have the perfect combination. There is an all-round warmth about the establishment and operation. As the brochure in your room says, 'welcome to our family home' - that's how it feels, like being a guest of theirs, not just a pyaing guest, for whom nothing is too much trouble. The locally sourced produce for the fabulous breakfast is so typical of the attention to detail and passion they have that makes it such a lovely place to stay. i will be back time and again, if they can fit me in, for sure. SIMPLY WONDERFUL - DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE."

very comfortable B&B
"Eleven westgate is more than your average B&B. The decor is lovely and this makes you feel at home straight away. The bedroom was very comfortable and warm. The breakfast was of high quality with an excellent choice. Amanda and Mike are a lovely couple, they make you feel very welcome and offer wonderful banana cake and flapjack after a hard days sightseeing. We enjoyed our 3 nights stay and would recommend this B&B to anyone - you wont be disappointed. Albert, Carole & Alex"

Great place to stay & explore.
"Beautiful B&B. Attention to detail is excellent from the log burning fire to the DVD player in the room to the local produce for the morning fry-up. Plenty of local amenities on the doorstep, and close to the amazing Dalby Forest, at which the owner of the B&B, Mike runs very well priced Mountain Bike guiding. Would highly recommend to anyone with a passion to explore the great outdoors and who desires a friendly, and beatifully cared for accommodation to relax at the end of the day."

Wonderful, wonderful stay
"We stayed at Eleven Westgate for one night in February. When we arrived we were welcomed with some coffee, and beautiful homemade banana bread. Mike was very helpful in recommending places to go mountain bike riding, and, at a very reasonable rate, fixed and serviced our bikes for us. The bedroom and en suite bathroom were nice and very clean. Breakfast was one of the nicest cooked breakfasts I have had. They source all ingredients from Yorkshire, and you could tell everything on the plate was of great quality. We would not hesitate in recommending Eleven Westgate to anyone else, and will most certainly be visiting again! Many thanks Mike and Amanda for being such wonderful hosts. James and Ruth."

Smart accommodation with a homely welcome
"Very well presented rooms in a lovely traditional house in the centre of Pickering. Genuinely welcoming and a natural homely feel. Fantastic cooked breakfasts. Lovely lounge with wood burning stove for guests to relax in. Plenty to do in Pickering, including some good pubs! Mike also runs a mountain bike guiding & repair business which is a great for a blast around the highly rated Dalby Forest trails."

A cut above....
"This place really is a cut above the average B&B. It is modern, stylish, spotlessly clean and very welcoming. They have clearly thought about all the things that make it a real pleasure to stay rather than just a place to sleep. We can't recommend it highly enough."

One of the best B&B's we have been to in the UK
"Just got back from a lovely weekend in Pickering and we can honestly say that this is one of the best B&B's that we have stayed in. We were made so welcome, rooms were excellent, breakfast was very good and even home made cake was waiting for us when we got back each afternoon. The only problem was parking. We will definately return!"
