Best Guest House ever stayed in â perfectly clean throughout, fabulous breakfasts and great owners.
"We stayed here for a week at the beginning of July 2010. On arrival, the owners moved their own car and allowed us to park right opposite the guest house and provided us with free parking vouchers for the duration of our stay. They even carried our entire luggage to our first floor room. We were then given a tour of our room, showed all the amenities and were given some advice on Great Yarmouth â what a first class welcome!! The room was spotless and clean, with well presented furniture and fittings â even the spotless drawers were lined with paper. It instantly felt like home-from-home. Tea/coffee making facilities were on offer, with jars of coffee, tea bags and sugar being available. The tray was complimented with large packets of individually wrapped cookies and bottles of spring water -which were replenished whenever we had used them, during our stay. The room offered wall mounted flat screen freeview tv, hairdryer, ceiling fan, fridge and bottles of complimentary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. More than ample towels were on offer in the magnificent shower room â even face cloths were provided. Any used towels, which we placed in the shower tray, were changed daily. The shower was massive, spotless and clean, and provided constant hot water â the shower door was kept that clean, you had to be careful to remember to open it before entering!! Shaver socket and mirror light are also on offer. The owners vacuumed all communal areas daily, incl the stair case. Even our room was vacuumed on a daily basis â attention to detail was first class throughout. The bed was very comfortable and scatter cushions were provided for that added touch. Bed linen was changed on day 4 of our 7 day stay. All bedside cabinets, wardrobe, shelf space and chest of drawers were spotless and clean and instantly useable. Ample lighting was provided throughout the room, with bedside lamps and free standing floor lamp available, in addition to the main room light. All carpets were clean and looked new. A full length mirror is also provided in the room. Breakfast was excellent â choice of fruit juices, vast selection of individually boxed cereals, fresh milk, fresh fruit, jams and preserves and a nice selection of yogurts were available from the self service servery. Ample tea and coffee, with fresh croissants and toast were served to your table. In addition to the above a cooked breakfast is also on offer, with bacon, sausage, egg, tomatoes, beans, mushrooms, fried bread and hash browns. Service was instantly available on arrival in the breakfast room and tables were cleared in an appropriate fashion. Your cooked breakfast arrived very quickly after you had finished your cereal. The breakfast was hot and very plentiful â in fact, as the week went on, we had to knock items off the cooked breakfast list as we couldnât manage them! This guest house is rated 4 star by enjoyEngland and has been awarded their Silver Award status ( I think there are only 4 or 5 that can claim this status in Great Yarmouth ) â in our opinion this guest house should be right at the top with a 5 star and Gold Award. This guest house is truly home-from-home and the owners make you feel very welcome â nothing is too much trouble for them - their hospitality is second to none. We believe this is the best guest house we have ever stayed in â perfectly clean throughout, fabulous breakfasts and fantastic owners that we got on great with! We would definitely recommend this guest house to anyone and will certainly use it again, on our return to Great Yarmouth. The only negative thing was we had to leave! Great Yarmouth is a fantastic place to visit with lots to do, day and night. We chose a very sunny week that had temperatures in the upper 20s, which was a bonus! For a great gammon steak, try the Ocean Spray Restaurant on the seafront â donât let the dated décor and 80s artex walls put you off â their steak meals are excellent. Avoid the nearby Europa Restaurant at all costs â vegetables are tinned and the cheap âpiggyâ gammon steak is a quarter of the size of the Ocean Sprayâs for a similar price."

"This has to be the best B&B I have ever stayed in, everything was immaculate, the rooms were spacious, bright, spotlessly clean with fantastic amenities. Willie was the perfect host and made us feel very at home, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was plentiful, we had a great choice of cereals, juices and yoghurt, and the full Scottish breakfast was excellent! Saffrons is close to the shops and beach and within walking distance. Would recommend to anyone, cannot rate Saffrons highly enough! If only all B&B's were as superior as Saffrons!"

"This has to be one of the best B&B's I have ever stayed in. The rooms are immaculately clean, as is the rest of the house. Lovely warm atmosphere and hospitality. The beakfast was freshly cooked and not in the slightest bit greasy. The beds were so comfortable and Willie and Keith who own it made our weekend just so special. Would definitely recommend a stay here and we will be back."

**WOW** a fantastic find in great yarmouth!
"From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by Keith and Wilie. When we were shown to our room we were bowled over by the quality and cleanliness of the fantastic family suite, the childrens room was fab - nicely made up with there own flat screen television which they thought was a really cool! Our room was very spacious lovely and bright, like the childrens room we had our own LCD tv and on the whole the room was beautifully decorated and furnished, it had great tea/coffe making facilities and even a small fridge. The en-suite had a huge shower and the softest towels ever! After having a very comfortable night's sleep breakfast did not dissapoint with a great selection of cereals fruit juices and yoghurts to help yourself to and a full english brekkie, tea/coffee and toast/coissants served to our table. The guest house was situated perfectly in the centre of yarmouth with the town a few minutes walk and the beach a stones throw away. All in all I would definatley recommend this guest house to all my family and friends we have already booked to return in the summer, this has to be one of the best priced, best quality 4star guest houses in Great Yarmouth."

Best B&B in great Yarmouth!
"Having visited gt Yarmouth many times & stayed in various B&Bs, Saffrons has to be the best B&B we have stayed in. Excellent value for money, we paid £45, have paid twice as much at other places which were nowhere near as good. Our room was modern, nice bed, nice bathroom, tea & coffee, flat screen tv & even a fridge in the wardrobe! Breakfast was great & service was excellent, will definatly stay here on future trips to Yarmouth."
