Great Location for exploring the area, 2 minutes from the River
"We got a great last minute deal from a discount website for a one night stay in early August this year. The rooms were spotless and well decorated and the staff were extremely helpful. The hotel is two minutes walk from London Bridge and the Thames Path, great for access to lots of attractions. Would definately recommend & stay here again if we could get another good deal."

Ok poor customer service
"When we arrived at this hotel, myself and my Husband got the sort of look that we wern't welcome don't know why, not posh enough. We stayed here for live 8 weekend. The room was very nice and seemed big, booked with the hotel direct. However our room was at the front of the hotel and were woken at 7am sat morning due to the dust cart, they also had out of date magazines placed in the room. The breakfast room was a very tight squeeze and were sat very close to other couples, we were not offered toast on the sat morn and then on the sun we asked and waited along time and I also found the staff very unfriendly The toilets downstairs were disgusting and looked like they hadn't been checked at all. I filled out the questionaire and later recived a letter to say that next time we visited we would be given a quieter room however I will not go back even though have been to worse in London. Then when we got back My husband discovered that he had been charged twice on his credit card, which took a few days to be paid back to his card and no letter of apology for that."

"I stayed at the London Bridge for two nights in August. I booked a great deal through EBookers and contacted the Hotel by email the day before to see if there was any chance of an upgrade. They resonded immediately to say request it on check in and they would see if they could do it. Well I asked on check in and they upgraded me immediately to an Executive Room. The check-in was quick, pleasant and efficient. The room, I felt, was alittle sparse and the bathroom was tiny, but the bed was HUGE and comfortable and the room was clean! I was in the "new wing" and it is a bit of a hike to get to it but as had a free upgrade couldn't complain really. Drank in the Borough Bar on the Friday afternoon and it was very pleasant with good service...in the evening it was PACKED. Ate in the Georgetown Restaurant which was good and food lovely if slightly small portions!!...Singapore Slings excellent. Although the Borough Bar is closed on Saturdays and Sundays there is a perfectly acceptable All Bar One next door that remains open. Transport Links fab! When you come out of the front of London Bridge Station where the buses and taxis are...turn left and the hotel is just down the road. Would definitely stay here again."

Good Hotel but.........
"The hotel has a great location, the rooms were OK but a bit small. My issue was I reserved one rate and confirmed this upon check in. On check out they changed the rate and would not honor the lower rate. I would not sign for the charges, they charged my credit card anyway at the higher rate. Now I am fighting with my credit card company. Watch out for this hotel!!!!!!"

We loved the London Bridge Hotel!
"We stayed at the London Bridge Hotel for 5 days last week. We have travelled to London several times but the LONDON BRIDGE HOTEL was the best hotel we've ever stayed at. Location is great, in a lively area with a lot of small shops, pubs and small restaurants. Easy access to the tube, trains and bus lines. Our room was very clean and very well-decorated. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The room included a desk, small round table, chairs, television, hairdryer, ironing kit, safe, tea and coffee facilities, brochures/magazines, ... Continental breakfast was delicious. The only disappointment was that the access to the fitness club was not very clear and the sauna was out of service. But we will definitely stay there again!"

"We stayed at this hotel on July 22nd. Using the internet, we got a good deal ($145USD) per night. From Gatwick, you can take the train and get off at the London Bridge station - which is much cheaper than taking the Gatwick Express to Victoria. The hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the London Bridge station. We arrived at the hotel really early (10:30am) and explained to the front desk that we'd really appreciate an early check-in because we'd just come off a long 9 hour flight from Dallas. The front desk staff were so helpful and not only gave us a room right away, but they upgraded us to an executive room for free! It's the first time we've ever stayed in a hotel where the room really did look exactly like the pictures they publish in the hotel's brochure or website. Our room was large with a huge comfortable bed and a fluffy white duvet, and it also had a couch which folded out into another bed. The TV in the room was an LCD TV which was on a swinging arm so you could position it to display in any part of the room. The room came with an ironing board and hairdryer, but also extra pillows, blankets, robes and slippers were supplied. And the bathroom was lovely and very very clean. The concierge was very helpful at giving directions and offering suggestions of places to eat and things to see nearby. We stay in London a couple of times a year and this hotel was by far our best hotel experience. We would definitely stay there again and we'd recommend it to anyone."

One of the best in London
"Spent 3 nights in London Bridge Hotel. Could have stayed longer. Beautiful interior decor. Bathroom is excellent. Rooms are on the small side (mine's a 'standard' without upgrade) but adequate. Ideal location for the tube and train, esp when Northern and Jubilee lines remained in good servce throughout our stay which was right after the bomb attacks. Breakfast is plentiful. The attached Georgetown Restaurant is nice, though not exactly cheap. If you use the tube/train to reach the hotel, please try to look for the bus station exit. It's closest."

Wonderful Location, Watch the "New" Wing
"Stayed at the London Bridge hotel July 15-20. Flew into LGW airport and took the train direct from the airport to London Bridge station. The hotel was a short 2 minute walk from the main entrance to the station. Hotel was very nice. Lobby was a bit small, but charming. Concierge desk was extremely helpful. Even recommended a launderette for us to do laundry! It's location made it easy to reach pretty much anywhere in London via the tube or train. Our particular room was in the "new" wing of the hotel. By new, they mean, recently acquired. It was a nice size, with plenty of room for our luggage and miscellaneous goods we collected while in London. Bed was comfy, bathroom was decent. Our only complaint was that the maid service did not replace our toiletries everyday. Also, the "new" wing is very inconveniently located from the lobby. You have to get to the first floor of the hotel, walk to the end of the halway (as if you were looking for a fire exit!), walk up a short flight of stairs, then board the miniscule lift to take you to your room. We did find a short cut, taking the lift down to the ground level, where the gym is located, and exiting out to the street from there. We tried to get back to our room the same way, and were successful, except our keycard did not call the lift, as they claimed it would. Instead, we had to walk up that short flight of stairs again in order to call the lift to our 3rd floor room! Other than those two complaints, we were extremely satisfied with our stay. Our rate included the English Breakfast buffet and was well worth it. Can't beat the location of the hotel and it's proximity to the London Bridge station."

"Stayed for 3 nights in May 2005 and found the location to be just great. It was so handy to have both the rail and tube station across the street. Because of the location we never needed the service of a taxi. Had read many previous reviews on this site which is why we booked to stay with them. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room at the back was quiet and larger than many rooms you would find in Europe. Found the hairdryer and coffeemaker tucked away in the drawers in the desk and bureau. Our rate had the continental breakfast included which was just what we needed. Complimentary newspapers in the lobby. We would definatly stay there again."
