Very pleasurable experience
"We stayed for two nights in a very pleasant, quiet room at the front of the hotel. The large bay window that overlooks Morecambe Bay was just ideal for a little light reading accompanied by a glass of something that had been chilled in the rooms mini-fridge. Breakfasts were excellent both in tasty produce and size. We would readily recommend the Broadwater to all visitors to Morecambe as a warm and unobtrusively friendly Hotel"

A wonderful surprise for American travelers
"My wife and I were traveling with our British friends, returning from Scotland. We were searching for accommodations for the night and stumbled upon the Broadwater. Jean Blore greeted us as if we were old friends, showed us wonderful rooms at very reasonable rates and made us feel at home. Our room had an incredible view of Morcambe Bay. Next morning Alex prepared a gourmet full breakfast which, alone, would have made the stay worthwhile. We're only sorry we didn't arrive in time for one of their dinners, but are thinking the Broadwater is a future destination for at least several nights' stay."

Morecambe went up in my estimation!
"The owners are trying to run this comfortable little place in as ethically fair and ecologically minded a way as possible given commercial constraints. They provide fairtrade goods for the bedroom tea/coffee trays and in the dining room and are attempting bit by bit to source eco friendly products and services throughout the business. There is encouragement to guests to explore the locality with the usual leaflets and brochures but also bird books, field glasses and nature diary which they urge guests to contribute to. There is a well-worded info file in each room where the owners explain their approach and welcome visitors. They also provide one of the best internet sites that I came across which was one reason I chose to stay at their hotel initially. We had a good stay, thankyou. They ."

A hidden gem in Morecambe
"My wife and I recently spent two nights at the Broadwater Hotel in Morecambe after reading positive reviews about it on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed, the location is good, with a lovely view of the bay from our room (no. 7), and the breakfasts were superb, with an imaginative and varied menu using locally sourced produce. But perhaps the best thing about the Broadwater is its hosts, Jean and Alex, who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. We look forward to staying at the Broadwater Hotel again and wish Alex and Jean every success for the future. Stuart and Marie Porteous, Scotland."

Excellent all round - this should have more stars.
"The Broadwater has everything you could expect from a good seaside guest house, a great view over the bay, comfortable rooms with all necessary amenities, a welcoming and helpful couple who run the GH, and a breakfast menu with variety, (including veg) and delicious food. I would recommend this place for anyone staying in the resort, or for using it as a base to explore Lancs and the Lake District."

Absolutely perfect in every way
"Only stayed the 1 night in room 3,our kids and friends stayed in other rooms. The room was spotless with an excellent view of the bay.We had just got married that day so personal touches like the towels folded in hearts,a pair of wine glasses on the table overlooking the bay were spot on.Extremely friendly staff and a breakfast to die for, even when you have the hangover from hell.Excellent value for money."

If you like breakfasts......
"Very clean hotel and Alex and Jean are really nice friendly people. The highlight of my brief stay was definitely the breakfast. I've stayed in approximately 150 b&bs of varying standards over the last 3 years, and this brekkie is in the top 3! I'll definitely be finding an excuse to stay here again. PS: I'm only writing this so that I might get an extra sausage next time I stay!!!"

Smartest accomodation along sea front
"Strolled along sea front and this hotel/guest house looked the most attractive and well maintained. Alex and Jean are lovely hosts, rooms very nice - bed was wonderfully comfy, breakfast was delicious - more tasty than average, stunning views over Morecambe Bay and to the Lakes beyond - worth staying for that alone! Only complaint was that curtains were thin which meant the early morning light came through waking us both at 6 a.m. but Jean and Alex are due to upgrade all their rooms so hopefully this will not be an issue."
