"Where do i start! The location for this hotel was great! only 5 mins from the beach and some of the main attractions. The hotel needs a little bit of work, a bit of paint here and there, but as the owners have not been there long i know that its just going to get better. its a nice place to stay and has friendly staff that you will instantly get on with. i know this place is going to go far and i wish all the staff there the best of luck. i will definatley be going again! and will recommend it to everyone thinking of going to blackpool!"

"At first glance the hotel looks fairly decent from the exterior until your shown to your room.stayed at the hotel for a night with some friends and we was all appauled at the state of it.bed was broken, sheets on beds were dirty.window didnt shut, hot water didnt work.ceiling falling through, bathroom door hanging off, disgusting marks on walls, room door didnt lock properly, dodgy looking wires hanging from the ceiling the list goes on.and for £35 a night i thought this was disgraceful.didnt enjoy the night out due to the fact that we had to go back to that dump to sleep.DEFINATELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!"

Laughably Bad

"All I can say is that this place was laughably bad. Bedroom doors falling off, no curtains or blinds on the windows, not very clean but lovely, friendly staff. It was a giggle to stay here with a gang of girls, perfect location for funny girls and a breaksfast to die for. Not a place to go as a couple. The place is falling apart but with all the hen and stag do's, you wouldn't want to spend money on a hotel that is liable to get trashed. Despite the poverty stricken rooms, the staff really couldn't do enough for you and they made our weekend. Thanks!"

A classy touch of Blackpool?????? NOT!!!

"The so called accommodation “The New Trentwood Hotel” situated in Blackpool was unacceptable to say the least. The sign on the front read 'A classy touch of Blackpool'. Let me assure you it was far from this. We arrived a large party of lads looking for a good weekend away and what were to find certainly put a dampner on the weekend! In fact the only reason we stayed, is that there was such a big party, finding another accommodation would of been impossible. When our party arrived at the hotel there was what only could be described as complete chaos. Not all our rooms were ready, even though we arrived much later than the check in time. This caused the group to split affecting the moral of the party. Which in turn dampened the enjoyment of the holiday. The room security was disgraceful. An estimated 3 rooms did not lock at all and the slightest of touches would of caused the door to fly open. Luckily some rooms did lock, forgive the sarcasm, and the tenants of the insecure rooms kept there valuables in the secure rooms. Although I didn’t experience it myself some of the party said they had fly’s in there room, which brings into question the hygienic state of the hotel. I hope this brings to attention the state of the New Trentwood hotel that . I'd stay well clear in the future"

"Just stayed at the New Trentwood Hotel, had read the previous reviews and was feeling really apprehensive. What a transformation. The hotel is under new ownership and there has been some radical changes. Totally refurbished and looking good. I would definately stay again. The staff made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Well done"

Faulty Towers to say the least!

"At a first glance our room appeared to be adequate. We were a group of four girls just wanting a place to stay for the night whilst we enjoyed a weekend away at the pleasure beach and then a night out in Blackpool. Overall we spent £100 between us on a room for four, which contained two singles and a bunkbed with a small ensuite. After coming back late from a day out, we arrived back to start getting ready to go out. We were immediately met by endless random men heckling us...i'm sure we were the only girls in the building. As it turned out when turning on the tv, there was no plug. The hairdryer had been ripped off the wall and stolen There were no light bulbs in any of the lights Theere were no coffee facilities like advertised. At 4am a group of scottish boys attempted to kick our door in for approximately an hour!! The lock was already loose so we were forced to hold the door!! We were on the first floor with a 24 hour bar below us...someone obviously heard but no one came to help 4 young girls out!! Luckily they didn't get in. On request of the tv been replaced someone begrugingly put a plug on the tv, which hadn't been tested since 1999. however it continued not to work. We then demanded a replacement ...which again didn't work!!! £100 is a lot of money for what we paid! We were satisfied with the state of the room upon first glance. The attititude of the staff was awful and I would not recommend young girls to stay there. Groups get a bad name in Blackpool however us girls really did want a good weekend with no trouble This hotel seems to attract the type who prefer another type of fun! Luckily we didn't get raped! don't bother ...save your money!!!"
