Rescued weekend break
"We had to leave a previous hotel suddenly and arrived at the Kings without prior notice, hoping we could be accommodated for the w/end. We were shown to a wonderful sea-view room, with en-suite and ample space.Room was clean and bright and serviced daily, the beverage tray was very welcome. Hotel was within easy walking distance of many entertainment venues and if you need to venture further, the bus and tram stops were opposite the hotel.Breakfast was hearty, beingfreshly cooked and we never felt we had to rush away.Had some entertaining chats in the bar with John @ Tracy.Would strongly reccommend hotel to others. Thanks to Tracy,John and Melissa for rescuing what could have been a ruined break. Hey Tracy! are you still in the twilight zone"

Enjoyable, relaxing atmosphere
"Owners very friendly and made you feel welcome. Room 1 was extremely hot on the first day which made the baby very agigtated and difficult to get to sleep but left windows open all day and seemed to make an improvement. Rooms tidy, although a good spring clean was needed. Good that the bunk beds were in a separate adjoining room though as this makes for parents not literally having to share with the kids. Returned from the pleasure beach at 5.30 very worn and tired with kids but Tracy and Melissa made me feel very welcome in the lounge bar area where I could feed the baby and enjoy a drink. Hearty cooked breakfast and choice of fruit and cereals although not a lot of room between tables to move and needed to be a but more spaced apart. Overall though an enjoyable stay!"

a welcoming generous hotel that makes you feel like part of the family
"a fantastic hotel with brilliant services and excellent bedrooms, the rooms were well prepared and the en-suites were fantastic. a clean and clinical hotel in every aspect. the breakfasts were beautiful with a wide choice of food; cereals, fry-ups, and a welcoming smile from the staff. in short I enjoyed my stay there I was staying in room 5, a spacious bedroom with 2 single beds and a en-suite, not including the wardrobes, t.v. and a spectacularly stunning sea view. In short fantastic and i would recommend it to any one staying at Blackpool."

Fun Weekend in Blackpool
"Turned up in Blackpool after booking on line at the Hotel Miami.......It was derelict!!!!! Thanks to the hospitality of john and Tracy our weekend was not spoilt. In fact, I actually now believe everythin happens for a reason. We ended up in comfortable, modest but clean accommodation. John and Tracy did everything to make us welcome although we had just dropped ourselves on them unannounced. The atmosphere was warm and homely to the extent that instead of going out on the Saturday night we all stayed in the bar of the hotel. The breakfast we were given on the sunday morning was really good and, as someone who has worked in the catering trade I am very fussy with my food. We would all like to say a big thank you to both of you for making our weekend away so special."

"Room (1) was very small and to hot even with the windows open which made it very uncomfortable. very much a lack of storage facilities especially in the bathroom. Food was brilliant, would of been nice to of been offered more tea and toast and also a smile. My wife got the feeling that she was inconviencing the staff when asking for milk sachet for the room(not a nice comment was heard from the back room)"

Me and my partner stayed last year and enjoyed the freindly service and well maintained room
"We found the breakfast very good and plentiful the fried bread was done to perfection, and the little touch of a areo hot drinks in the room was a nice touch we are returning in aug this year and looking forward to are stay. Another good thing is unlike the rest of the prom the bus and tram stops are opposite each other instead of apart so using the public transport is easy I really would recommend The Kings to anybody and my partner agrees"

A lovely hotel; friendly, above all-clean...does exactly what it says on the tin!
"Traditional decor in the lounge and dining room belies the modern feel of the guest rooms. Rooms are minimal, fresh and clean. Rooms are serviced daily. Traditional cooked breakfast is very good. Owners are very accomodating. While we were there, an elderly couple, two families, groups of friends and younger couple stayed. Seems to suit all. Tram stop accross road proved useful."

want a great place to stay that's close to the pleasure beach? Look no further!
"Me and my partner came here after reading all the great reviews and were not disappointed. Our room (4) was spotlessly clean, had a sea-view, on suite shower room, wall mounted flat-screen tv, tea making facilties and is serviced on a daily basis. John, Tracy and Melissa are the friendliest, funniest, down to earth people you could meet which made our stay even more welcoming. Without a doubt, when we return to Blackpool, this is the 1st place we'll come knocking. P.S. John if you come across this review.......... Up the Villa!"

Confirming good things already written.
"Very friendly, parking a bit tight in front of the hotel but you won't be driving anyway. Just across the street from the tram stop (take the tram in Blackpool - easy and great views). Right next to Pleasure Beach - step outside and you can hear the roller coaster riders screaming! Baby crib set up on arrival, TV will loads of channels (I think all the Freeview ones), en-suite, one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in. They want you to come down to start breakfast between 9 and 9:30, and full cooked breakfast (and cereals, fruit) are included. You get your own keys to come and go when you want, great advice from owners about sites to visit - they provided some discount coupons for the tower and waterpark as well."

Nice hotel, nice welcome
"The Kings is situated right next door to the Pleasure Beach on the South Shore. I travelled to the Kings from Glasgow with my friend for her 30th birthday. We were given a warm welcome by John and Tracey and John even took the time out to drop us to a nearby restaurant at 9.30 pm, a really nice touch. We only stayed for one night and the breakfast was freshly cooked for us the next morning. Plenty of tea/coffee/juice available which is always good for the drouth the next morning! There is a large screen tv and pool table in the bar and the drink prices were around average for the resort. The rooms were fine, the hotel is gradually being refurbished and in general i would say i would go back here again. We went at a quiet time of year, pleasure beach was closed and there was a limited transport service. But i love Blackpool and would have no hesitation in reccommending this hotel."

Great stay. Brill location
"Stayed for 2 nights in a family room (number 12) having found the hotel on laterooms. Surprised that there was availability given the good reviews on here. Booked directly with John and he was very helpful - could leave the car there all day on the arrival day as well as the departure day. Hotel well situated on the Promenade and only just down from the Pleasure Beach and Sandcastles' Waterworld. Having said that it was still quiet. Room was clean and whilst a little small was still large enough if you are not intending to spend too much time there. Shower worked well. Bunk beds for the kids. Room wasn't on the seafront but John had told us this before booking and didn't matter to us. Breakfast was good and freshly cooked. Overall, a friendly hotel, in a great location at a decent price. The kids have asked to visit again so it must be good!"
