Friendly, clean, helpful and flexible
"Our first stay in Eastbourne although not the first for our 91yr old mum. The chefs and waiters were great in their dealings with her eating fads. The rooms were clean and well serviced (The cleaner noticed we had a pack of long life milk in the room and thereafter left more of those little milks..without being asked) The staff were friendly and chatty and because of this the guests also felt they could all join in - wonderful for our 91 yr old and good fun for us too. Thankyou for a holiday I was slightly dreading but thoroughly enjoyed..and so did she!!"

up from good hotel to great hotel due to super staff -all levels.
"not on the sea-front (short block away) but staff from front desk to kitchen and all functions in between rallied round to support my wife during minor illness. The result was ;a very happy vacation.TIP if arriving at Gatwick ,try a pleasant change of pace.Avoid Londons expensive hotels and meals.Head south 1 hour to Eastbournes New Wilmington Hotel. You wont regret it."

Spotless, friendly, great location!
"My husband and I stayed at the New Wilmington hotel for 3 night in June 2009. The hotel is absolutely spotlessly clean, the rooms are airy, quiet, and comfortable. The staff in the dining room go out of their way to ensure all your needs are met. The hotel is located one block from the sea and close to shopping and attractions. An excellent value, we'd certainly recommend this fine establishment. Paul and Judy, Ottawa, Ontario Canada"

Tennis at Devonshire Park Brilliant - New Wilmington even better than tennis!!!
"We have just arrived home after our first stay at the New Wilmington Hotel - we cannot praise it enough - no complaints what so ever - and we would certainly recommend it to anyone. The staff are friendly and very accomodating - the hotel very clean - the food very good - sorry this is full of verys - but we were very impressed and hopefully will visit again. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them."

Home from home
"This is my third stay at the New Wilmington. Welcoming staff make me feel like one of the family, which is great as I come from so far away and sometimes have a stressful visit helping elderly mother. Staff are very helpful. Usually great food in restaurant although repetitive menu becomes a bit boring for long (4 week) stays. Wish I could come and stay more often! Have already recommended the NW to friends."

Very Friendly Hotel in an Excellent Location
"From our initial booking, staff were very helpful and friendly. Esatbourne now charges for parking, but this hotel have garages available at £6 per day, which is good value. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Our room, which was one of the smallest, was prefectly adequate, and had a settee. The only complaint was the variable temperature of the water from the shower. The full English breakfasts are superb, not at all greasy. We enjoyed the dinners and have no complaints about the quality or quantity of meals. The hotel is very well located; 2 minutes to the sea front, about 8 - 10 minutes walk to the pier and almost opposite the theatres. The hotel provided entertainment on one of the two nights we stayed. There was a professional musician, who was accomplished on the keyboard and turned out to be quite a comedian. We would definitely return."

It's the attention to detail which makes this hotel so special
"In a good central location handy for the prom, shops and theatres, The New Wilmington is a real find. It has a welcoming, friendly atmosphere, with good food, and excellent attentive service. All areas of the hotel are clean and comfortable with tastfully furnished rooms, and very comfy beds. We enjoyed over-generous portions at dinner, with a good choice of menu, followed by great entertainment. It was like home-from-home, but more comfortable! My mother and I would thoroughly recommend it - what am I saying? This should remain a well-kept secret, we don't want everyone going! Eileen and her Mum, Windsor"
