Ace at the Amarillo
"Had a two day stay at the Amarillo and it was perfect. The surrounding area was very quiet and only about ten minutes from the action. The staff were fantastic due to being so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great and the rooms superb and very clean.I recommend this to anyone and will 100% be staying there again when in Bournemouth :0)"

"Have never felt the need to offer a review before now, maybe shouldn't might not be able to get booked in next time! This little hotel is an absolute gem, Rob & Paul (who make the whole place v.special) have renovated and decorated to a really high standard keeping loads of the original features. The whole place is tastefully finished and completely spotless, so many lovely little touches, it actually is how it it looks on the website. As for the food, Rob is a chef and the breakfast was the best we have ever had. I could recommend this place to anyone (including my best friend who is a clean freak !). We felt completely at home and welcome. Forget the typical British B & B this one is totally different in the best possible way."

Look no further if you want a very pleasant stay in Bournemouth!
"We recently returned from a post wedding hen-do(!) to Bournemouth, and 7 of us had the pleasure of staying at the Amarillo Hotel.
Usually you step through the door of the quintessential British b&b and the downstairs looks lovely, and then you go upstairs to the depressingly inevitable 1970's flocked wallpaper and avocado coloured bathroom suite. That is sooooo not the case here! Paul and Rob have very tastefully modernised the Amarillo, and as a result, all the rooms are very clean, modern, bright and airy which was a really refreshing surprise.
From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, I can honestly say nothing appeared to be too much trouble, whatever our request; whether that was for more coffee or more gossip! It's rare that you get to stay somewhere where the owners take such a personal interest in your stay, but that was certainly the case here. Paul & Rob were fantastic hosts, and Nelson was very welcoming too...
Everyone else has commented on the hearty breakfast and I can certainly support all the positive comments that have been made. My only feedback would be that a little more flexibility in the time breakfast is served (8.30 - 9) would be good, but that is a very minor issue.
All in all I would say that the Amarilllo provides excellent value for money, a really nice clean modern environment, and all in a quiet residential area with easy access to the beach and town centre.
I would definitely stay there again, and will certainly be recommending it to other friends and family."

The best in Bournemouth!
"We only spent a couple of days at the Amarillo but we will definitely be going back. We were greeted at the door with friendliness and warmth and were shown our room to check it was ok for us, not just given the key and left to get on with it!
The hotel is very clean and tastefully decorated by the owners, Rob and Paul. Rob is an experienced chef and the breakfast was devine!!
It is not on the seafront but situated in a very nice area opposite the bowls club and is very quiet.
We recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a quiet, small, friendly hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the town but still within walking distance of all the amenities Bournemouth town has to offer.
This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in, in Bournemouth."

"Stay in the hotel for 2 nights, very friendly staff, clean rooms which looked like their website.
The breakfast was lovely, the location was a easy walk to the beachfront, quite area easy parking on the street and in front of their hotel.
Would recommend this hotel to friends and family and would stay there again.
Also recommend Zizzi Italian restaurant in the town excellent service and lovely food, Richmond Hill near the main bus stops."

Good Value Friendly B&B
"The Amarillo is a great little B&B with friendly owners and tasteful, modern decor (no chintz or frills!). It was very clean and well presented. Our party used 3 rooms - all good sized and 2 with brand new ensuite bathrooms (our room had an older bathroom which was a bit disappointing but owners are in process of renovating). Breakfast is very tasty - cooked and continental - and owners are helpful in recommending local attractions. The hotel is about a 20-25 minute walk to the town centre, which we managed easily in the sunshine. You can walk along the amazing beach which is about 5-10 minutes away. There's parking outside and in the road (free). The road itself is quiet, residential with some other guesthouses, and we had no problems with noise. There's a little park across the road too. The hotel works well as a base if you have things to see and do in the area.
If you want clean and modern on a budget then I recommend the Amarillo."

Best Cooked Breakfast In Bournemouth !!!
"Having previously only stayed at the bigger hotels in Bournemouth we were pleasantly surprised by the Amarillo.
From the moment we walked in and were greeted by the warm friendly owners, to the moment we drove away, we were treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. Nothing was too much trouble, and we left feeling like we were almost part of the family!
The hotel had a wonderful clean fresh fragrance throughout even during the breakfast period when the most delightful english breakfast was being served. The rooms were tastefully decorated and were much better than we had anticipated in this price bracket.
Overall we would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel with good access to the town and beach. We will definately be returning!"

Fantastic little B+B
"Booked the Amarillo B+B as all the big hotels were full and to be honest rather expensive. We were attending a conference at the BIC and would not have been using all the fancy facilities anyway. The service at the Amarillo was excellent, the room and ensuite was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was lovely all freshly cooked, it set us up for the day. We paid £35 each for a twin room on a Friday night. A taxi to the BIC is about £5 and takes about 7-8 mins. It's situated about 5 mins from the train station and 8 mins from the beach. Great for a weekend or longer very comfortable and it feels really cosy even in the winter with a lovely fire burning in the dining room."
