Best place in town.... by a "rocking mile"!
"This hotel is amazing; it's welcoming and friendly (thanks to Martin and Wendy's superb hospitality), impeccably clean and well presented, well serviced with wireless internet access, flat screen DVD TV's, wetsuit and board locker rooms, car park, sun terrace etc. High spec bathrooms (the showers are amazing!!!!), and beautifully furnished rooms. The breakfast room will blow you away, decorated in the style of an American diner; the attention to detail is evident throughout the hotel. Breakfast tasted great with lots of choice and was unrushed. I genuinely have only excellent things to say about this place, well how could I say anything to the contrary when the chocolate treats on the beds are Rocky Robins!
Martin and Wendy are delightful people and an asset to the local community with which I have much affiliation and affection for having been travelling to Woolacombe regularly for 7 years."

"I have just come back from a wonderful 1 night stay in beautiful and sunny Woolacombe with my husband.
What a great B&B. Modern rooms, a great breakfast set in a wonderful American Diner.

Brilliant new Hotel in Woolacombe
"We all really enjoyed our stay at The Rocks Hotel, the owners are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for their guests. Our family room was beautifully decorated, and very clean. We had 2 rooms, with en suite bathroom and also a flat screen DVD TV and lovely sea views.
One of the best things about the Rocks it the Dining Room!! It is like an American Diner, with authentic decor and a fully working Juke Box, which guests can use during their breakfast - which by the way were delicious.
The location is ideal for all the amenities in Woolacombe and also the lovely beach which is a short walk away. (3mins) Parking facilities are very good.
All in all a lovely, relaxing break in the a beautifully decorated hotel. The owners pay great attention to the needs of their guest at all times. We would highly recommend it!"

beautiful b&b with great hosts, ideally located 2 minutes from a gorgeous sandy beach
"Just returned from a weekend away with my husband for our 9th wedding anniversary. The Rocks Hotel is a breath of fresh air, rooms are decorated and furnished with elegance and style and located 2 minutes away from the beach with parking facilities. We had excellent breakfasts in a dining room that must been seen as words won't do it justice. Wendy and Martin, the owners, are great hosts and will assist in any way possible, even down to providing a lift back from our 7 mile coast walk! All in all we had a great weekend in beautiful Woolacombe and will be returning very soon."

Great B&B Highly recommended!
"Found this hotel whilst doing a search for accommodation on Google. Having been to Woolacombe a number of times I was intrigued by a new Hotel I hadnât heard of before so decided to take a look. Photos from the website looked good and its location in the centre of Woolacombe only minutes from the beach couldn't be better so we decided to give it ago. From the word go whilst making the booking Wendy (the owner) made us feel really welcome and before even getting there we had begun to enjoy the Rocks experience. When we arrived at the hotel we were very impressed, the newly refurbished hotel had been really well done with great attention to detail - how many hotels have a Rocky chocolate bar waiting for you on your pillow! (If you haven't ever had one I highly recommend them - they really are the best!) The room itself was really nice, with all the amenities that you would need - but I think the highlight might have been breakfast - not only was the food great the breakfast room itself was simply indescribable ( I wont even try, ill leave you to experience it like we did). Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Rocks and will definitely stay there again next time we are in Woolacombe. See you in the Red Barn!"

"If you're taking a trip to Devon this summer, look no further than The Rocks Hotel in Woolacombe. Completely refurbished, this is a bright, welcoming B&B with carefully designed, modern rooms within walking distance of the beach and numerous bars and restaurants. Owners Wendy and Martin go great lengths to make guests feel welcome - they even collected us from the station and drove us out to meet friends in Morthoe!! Other friends staying at nearby venues complained of dirty, crumbling rooms, outdated decor and unhelpful staff. Not so at The Rocks. Avoid all imposters and go straight there. Book early though, word of mouth is spreading and I doubt that rooms will be available for long during the spring and summer months.
Oh, and I won't spoil the surprise but it's worth staying overnight if only for the unmissable breakfast room...

The best holiday experience in England
"As a manager of a country manor house in Leicester, I decided our annual trip to Woolacombe would be upgraded from the usual tent or caravan as the children are older & the family getting larger - 14 of us descended on The Rocks Hotel ; - We were met by great hosts, nothing was too much trouble and the luxurious accommodation both in the bedrooms and apartment gave us all the space we could need - everything was covered from the welcoming bottle of fizz to the outside shower room for the kids to clean off all the sand. The fantastic breakfast lounge was only surpassed by the outstanding and delicious breakfast we were served - Wendy even catered for my very fussy taste buds of a poached duck egg. We have booked again for the summer as the Rocks has a fabulous location - who needed to take the car ??"

High quality new B&B
"Just enjoyed a lovely May bank holiday break at The Rocks in Woolacombe. Only opened recently by Wendy and Martin (and their family) this little gem is a breath of fresh air in a market usually dominated by tired 1970s decor and soggy bacon - none of that here! The decor throughout is modern but not stark: high quality bedding, powerful showers, flat screen TVs. The best surprise is saved for breakfast which is served in a 1950s/60s inspired US diner complete with surf DVDs playing and an amazing original juke box which we were encouraged to play with. The food is a traditional offering of cereals, toast, yoghurt and then your choice of a full English (or any individual parts you want) prepared to an excellent standard - we are convinced that Wendy and Martin could serve this food to paying non-guests. We were intrigued by the idea of a American breakfast that they are considering too.
Other things to note about The Rocks are a safe and secure car park conveniently located in the middle of the town next to the hotel (summer parking in Woolacombe difficult and expensive), a secure surf board storage room (a great touch) and an outdoor shower room.
We love Woolacombe anyway but now have the perfect place to stay each time we come. This place sets the standard. Thanks Wendy and Martin."
