Very welcoming - highly recommended
"We stayed for 2 nights earlier this month, very comfortable, lovely rooms with everything thought off. Breakfast very good - I would like to echo the earler review as to the excellent poached eggs. Nice to go to guest house with its own bar - serving local beer and cider - much appreciated by 3 members of the group (I'm the boring one who sticks to cola!!) Will return later in the year - hopefully to watch Hereford Utd thrash Torquay Utd ,now both in league 2.!"

"Sharon and Paul offerred a warm welcome and friendly service. A relaxed and informal atmosphere was on offer, a 'home from home' approach was the order of the day. The Lodge sat on a slight hill but was in a good location within easy walking distance of all local amenities and attractions. The room was very comfortable, extremely clean and was serviced daily. There was space for four cars plus road side parking. Breakfast was as much or as little as we could eat and individual orders were taken. Evening meals were offered and a relaxed evening in the bar was had by all! Sharon and Paul were very approachable and wanted our stay to be enjoyable, we just had to ask if we needed anything and nothing was too much trouble."

"Just had a couple of weeks at the hotel and had a marvelous time. The staff were extremely friendly, the room was bright and extremely comfortable, the food was excellent and we had a brilliant relaxing time. Have already booked for next year, and we hope to squeeze in a few days in the spring. The location of the hotel is ideal, easy stroll down to the sea front, close to resurants and busy little cafes. Thanks for a great stay Paul."

Enjoyable stay at Kings Lodge Torquay
"June 14th 2008 Booked this Hotel over the internet, not sure what to expect. When we arrived we were welcomed by Paul and shown to our room, which was fab !. My husband had arranged Champagne and Chocolates to be put in the room as a surprise, this was no trouble for Paul to arrange. Every where is very clean and relaxing............ The Hotel bar is well stocked with local Beers and ciders. The breakfast is second to none. Paul is a very good cook. We had the pleasure of meeting Paul`s wife Sharon one evening, she is also very friendly and nothing is to much trouble. We are looking into staying there shortly. Had a real enjoyable break, and value for money. Helen & Andy..... Birmingham"

Always a relaxing, welcoming place to stay
"We have been guests at many B&B's in Torquay over several years and The Kings Lodge is the best by far and the only Guest House we have returned to 3 times in the last 12 months, we have already booked to return in August 08. Paul and Sharon are extremely welcoming, very friendly and make you feel at home. Paul and Sharon are always helpful and make you feel relaxed as soon as you walk through the door. Breakfast is excellent, a large Veriety and choice. The rooms are of a high standard and very comfortable, with en-suite. We would highly recommend The Kings Lodge for a very Relaxing and Welcoming stay for anyone. Many Thanks to Paul and Sharon as always, from Kevin and Lisa (Bristol) xx"

Kings Hotel - First Class Service
"The Kings Hotel Torquay is where i had a excellent stay the room was High standard and the owners Paul and Sharon nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was of high standard even including a local devon Hogs Pudding. I stayed in many hotels in the UK and this one certainly gets my top hotel. The hotel has a bar with a selection of drinks available all at very reasonable prices. The hotel is also in good location about 10 mins walk from seafront and town centre."
