Lovely stay - friendly owners and staff
"Five of us stayed for one night during a last minute drive down the Devon coast. The Collingdale was a lovely suprise: Sharon and Daryl are friendly hosts (without being overbearing) and own a lovely large and light house with views of the harbour and quick access to Ilfracombe harbour and town. Comfortable rooms that are extremely clean and nicely appointed gave us all a good night's sleep. Breakfast the following morning was a hearty delight and we left in high spirits ready for the drive home. Thank you Sharon and Daryl!"

"My wife and I had an enjoyable 3 night stay. The hotel is clean, the owners friendly and the breakfast good. It is a very pleasant 10 minute walk to the town centre."

Great views and great breakfast
"Just returned from a two night break at this hotel. Had a nice kingsize room with lovely views.
Breakfast was very good - lots of choice and lovely cooked breakfast (especially the bacon). Location is also very good - only a 10min walk to the quayside in Ilfracombe.
Sharon was very helpful giving us advice on parking and also the Victorian festival.
I would definitely recommend it for a short break on the coast."

A Brilliant Stay!
"We have just returned from a family weekend at the Collingdale. Sharon and Daryl were terrific hosts and really looked after us during our stay. I would have no hestitation in recommending this hotel to stay at and your certainly be treated to a wonderful breakfast to start your day. Also, would recommend booking one of the rooms with a view, which is very beautiful.
Thank you once again Sharon and Daryl for a most memorable stay. If we are ever in the area again, your hotel will be our first choice!

very nice bed and breakfast
"we stayed here overnight on a weekend break to devon. this is a very homely bed and breakfast with fantastic views of the sea.
the owners are very pleasant and make you feel very welcome. we stayed on a very cold and windy march weekend but the lady put a heater in our room once the tourist office had told her we were on our way so it was nice and warm when we arrived.
breakfast was lovely.
im not sure its a big enough hotel with the facilities to stay for more than a couple of nights but for a one or two night break this is a great place to stay.
we can recommend the ilfracombe tandoori a couple of minutes walk from the hotel!!"

Nice bed and breakfast
"We have just returned from a two night, bed and breakfast, stay at the Collingdale. The hotel was very pleasant. We were lucky enough to book the last king-size room, unfortunately it was on the third floor. Quite a trek up and down several flights of stairs but the view from the room overlooking the harbour was breathtaking. Breakfast was extremely good with a good selection and freshly cooked. Overall a friendly, welcoming hotel to stay in, just check what floor you are staying on."

Good bed and breakfast
"Whenever I stay at seaside bed and breakfasts now im pleasently the supprised and ilfracombe was no exception the sea view was beautiful . the room although nothing special was clean and comfy offering everything you would expect to find now. the owners are very freindly and helpful ( they had a private party the night we stayed and told us in advance about the possiable noise and promised to be finnished by 00:30 which they were and the noise was acceptable anyway.) Breakfast was a good traditional again options were available . I would certainly not discourage anyone from staying there."
