Why stay anywhere else!
"We have recently stayed at the New Moorings and could not believe the warm welcome we received. Anne and Dave could not do enough for us throughout our stay and provided us with so much information of where to visit. The rooms are clean and fresh and the breakfast was fabulous, we didn't need to eat until the evening ! We stay in Exmouth alot and would not go anywhere else now."

"Stayed here in August and found it beautifully clean well equipped and with Anne and Dave greeting us as though we were friends staying in their home, Nothing was too much trouble and we would certainly stay here again."

"The people who own New moorings are very friendly and will be happy to help you in anyway they can, strongly recomended you stay at New Moorings as Anne is one of the nicest people you could meet. Plus Devon is one of the most beautiful places in the U.K and it is worth seeing. I will be going back. Thank you, Shelly :D"

"Just got back from an easter weekend stay at new moorings. As a couple we wanted to find somewhere quiet, tidy and easy going, and got exactly what we looked for. We spent a while looking for places to stay in exmouth and we couldn't have asked for a better venue, and hosts. The place was spotless, the service excellant, the games good, we were about 3 mins walk from the beach. We are both so pleased with what we got that if we went back to exmouth then we wouldnt bother looking for anywhere else to stay. We were told of some places to go etc and had a great time out. A big thumbs up from reading. rob & jola =)"

A nice quiet Exmouth hotel
"I'm an occasional visitor to Devon for short breaks and visiting friends in the Exeter area. On my last two visits I've stayed at the New Moorings in Exmouth. It's a nice place to stay - quiet, friendly, well-situated for the town and harbour. The breakfasts are excellent - Anne & Dave make a point of buying local produce and you can taste the difference. Parking can be a bit of a problem. Exmouth is a good stopping point for the south coast walk - one day I caught the bus to Sidmouth and walked back to Exmouth, stopping in Budleigh Salterton, about 8 miles in all and a great walk (even if like me you get a bit wet). And the train ride into Exeter is really scenic. Nice place!"

"We were given a very warm welcome and help with parking the car. The guest house is absolutely spotless with comfortable beds [looked new].Anne and Dave gave us advice on where to eat and places to visit as it was our first visit to the area. Breakfast was excellent. We have no hesitation in recommending New Moorings."

Warm Exmouth welcome!
"My husband and I came down for a couple of days by the sea. This guesthouse was very friendly and welcoming. Anne and Dave put on a good breakfast and helped us organise a ferry tour around the harbour. The rooms were clean and quiet and we enjoyed our break. Recommended!"

"We have just returned from a weekend in exmouth, staying at the new moorings B & B, the first day was reasonable with the breakfast okay, although a bit cold. Although the website states that the rooms have controlable radiators in every room, the fact is they are switched off at 8pm so the rooms are freezing cold, and when we asked for the heating to be switched on they refused! they came back on with a bang at 7.30am next morning. we were told off for talking in our room at 11.30pm on the Saturday night like we were children. We may have caught them at a bad time, but we won't be going back there, we have been to plenty of better B and B's in Exmouth."

"Just returned from a two night stay at the hotel. I've been to Torquay and Lynton & Lynmouth but not to this part of Devon before. Dave and Anne were very welcoming. They made a pot of tea along with a jug of milk which they brought up to the room. Nothing was too much trouble. The booking was a spur of the moment decision and we found the accommodation using the internet and travelled the following day. The only slight problem is the parking is all on street and spaces are at a bit of a premium. We found a space when we arrived and left the car. The town centre is within walking distance and the sea front around a 10 minute walk away, all level, no hills to climb!! Any walkers will be interested to know that part of the South West Coastal Path goes through Exmouth and we walked part of it to Budleigh Salterton and caught the bus back to Exmouth. Bus fare was £2.20p."
