A great get-away in a beautiful location
"I've just come back from a 4 night stay at this fantastic guesthouse and cannot recommend it highly enough! Usually the rooms rarely look the same as the photos on the website but can promise that this place really does - we stayed in the really sweet Mousehole which has a great bathroom.
Mark & Fenalla, as per previous reviews, are truly excellent hosts and their attention to detail really makes the place stand out - breakfasts are great, and very filling!
Location wise, in my opinion, Carbis Bay is one of the nicest locations in the area - the coastal walks, both to St Ives (3 mins on the train) and in the opposite direction are truly stunning.
Will need to book far in advance soon to secure a room!"

An incredible find...
"Not one to usually stay at a B&B - our friends were the ones who found this spectacular place and it has opened our eyes to how fantastic a B&B can be. I am now sure that we will be disappointed whereever else we go, given Mark and Fenella's high standard, but we will at least be looking for that same experience now knowing that it actually does exist. The rooms are lovely with amazing beds (we didn't ever want to get out of it), extremely well decorated, classy and v.v. clean (and I am somewhat phobic about cleanliness), breakfast is divine and nothing is ever too much trouble - in fact, Fenella made the effort to send some breakfast up to the boys one morning when they slept late. Our hosts were friendly and happy to impart their knowledge of the area and provide suggestions for our sightseeing - they were more than happy when we sought them out for information or just for a chat - they are fantastic people and they run a fantastic place to stay. I have no doubt that very shortly the waiting list for this place will be pages long and you will need to book months in advance - go and stay there and then prepare to be disappointed at any other place you may try in the future."

Can I live here...please!
"We stopped in room 1 on a gloriously sunny day in May and I couldn't imagine a better place to enjoy British summertime.
This boutique hotel has a fantasic landscaped garden (see website) and I was immediately drawn to the double hammock, with a wholehost of magazines from Fenella's extensive collection.
Back in the room, we enjoyed glorious views of Carbis Bay and a cheeky drink from the mini-bar (which was very reasonably priced). The room and hotel interior is immaculate and has even given me ideas for my own home.
Mark and Fenella are fantastic hosts without being intrusive. We received excellent restaurant advice (Alfresco and Portminster Cafe) and numbers for taxis.
Breakfast was fantastic - good quality food without the grease.
And all for a bargain £90!
We shall definitely be returning..."

"We stayed at this hotel over Easter and can honestly say that it was one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed at. Our room was gorgeous and the view was amazing. The breakfast is very good and the hotel owners are very friendly and helpful without being too intrusive, we were even left cream eggs on our pillows for Easter! Little touches like this make Headland house lovely and we will be back very soon."

Beautiful, welcoming and fantastic views.
"We have just returned from a short stay at this lovely hotel - and would thoroughly recommend it. The decor is immaculate and the views of Carbis Bay from our window were wonderful. The owners are friendly and helpful and really make you feel at home. Excellent cooked breakfast, relaxing lounge and easy acces to St. Ives all make it a perfect place to enjoy the area.

Wonderful hotel, fantastic location
"We stayed for 4 nights in room 1 and were not disappointed. The room was spacious with amazing views over Carbis Bay and a good size modern en-suite bathroom. The hotel is tastefully decorated and oozes luxury - from the luscious king size bed and flat-screen TV/DVD player in our room to the huge leather sofas and complimentary tea and coffee in the 'snug' area, not to mention the delicious breakfasts (with locally-sourced produce). The lovely hosts, Fenella and Mark, were welcoming and helpful without being intrusive.
Would definitely recommend. 10/10"

"Fantastic stay in Bedroom 6 "Mousehole". Complete luxury with an amazing roll-top bath. Took a little walk down to the coastal train and had a lovely dinner in St Ives at The Blue Fish, recommended by the owners. 2 minute walk from the beach. Fab breakfast, fab place - highly recommended"
