"Hotel situated 15 mins walk from town centre in quiet location - oposite the Police Station. Room was spotless, and cleaned every day, but bathroom needed updating - had a few problems with the shower. Excellent buffet breakfast, loads of choice and very friendly and helpful staff. A la Carte restaurent, but we chose not to eat there. Found some lovely places to eat about 5 mins walk from the hotel in Kensington Road. Would definitely stay here again."

"Staff were always friendly and helpful.Excellent breakfast.Rooms were a bit dated and windows could not be opened when it was warm but the rooms were clean. The a la carte restaurant was very good. Located ten to fifteen minutes walk to the bus station. Excellent Indian restaurant and Italian ,little more than a five minute stroll. Only drawback was a wedding party on Saturday night where children were left unsupervised ,outside the function room,to run round playing and screaming until 12.30 a.m. If you get lost in St Helier ask directions to the Police Station which is directly opposite the Savoy."

So Nice Savoy
"Just arrived back today. Hotel superb, position good with about 10 mins walk to St Helier centre.Staff excellent considering the hours they worked. We booked a table for an evening meal and were very pleasantly suprised, worth giving it a try.If you fancy Indian or Chinese even Italian then you are 5 mins walk away.Police Station/Ambulance and Fire Station across the road so if you get lost ask for any one of them. If you have booked or thinking about it I'm sure you wont be disappointed."

3 Girlies had a fab time.
"This hotel is peaceful (maybe being opposite the Police station had something to do with it!), very comfortable and clean. It is 2 minutes drive to the town centre, but remember to get your parking tickets to use in the car parks or you WILL get a parking fine. If you go the the car park at Minden Place you can park for 3 hours and there is a shop across the road that sells them. The breakfast choice was great, full continental to english traditional breakfast. You can have what you want to suit your appetite. One of our party is in a wheelchair and when we got to the hotel we could not find the ramp, but my sister went in to ask and within seconds there were men all around us putting the ramps down and helping us in. The receptionist later explained that they had just had the steps revamped so the ramps had been moved but now they would stay in place as they had done before. The rooms were very comfortable and on the ground floor. There is a front lounge and you can take your drinks in there with you from the bar. There are four roman steps to the bar from inside the hotel but you can also get to the bar from going down the ramps(the bottom one is a wee bit steep) to the car park, turn left go about 15 feet and use the outside door at the front which has no steps at all. We were also told that if we needed help in any way just to ask - this included going up and down the ramps. The staff are VERY polite and courteous. We ate in the restaurant each night because it was easier for us. The food is 'a la Carte', so not the cheapest but still delicious and well worth a booking even if only on your last night you want to push the boat out. One of our party even asked if they could have sausage and chips instead - yes they got it!! We were made to feel very welcome and would have no hesitation in staying there again. Superb weekend away WORTH EVERY PENNY."

"Reception staff very friendly. Breakfast good but suggest eating out in the evening.Seems to appeal to elderly persons. Bar area is a smokers paradise! Rooms clean. Hotel is fraying at the edges. Looking tired and of need of up dating.Maybe they are keeping it this way to encourage the elderly that are regular visitors."

"We stayed in this hotel in a Family Room with our two children. The staff were nothing but helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The hotel itself is a bit past its sell by date and could certainly do with some updating. It seems that the owners are doing this. The food was plentiful - if basic, but again they were very happy to accomodate the children."

fair for the money
"We stayed at this hotel last year in aug 03. Good location and easy parking. We had a noisy room beside the small outside pool. The hotel in a bit out dated and it could do with a little updating. Breakfast was ok but we had problems with the non-national waiter, he was scruffy and rude (maybe he didn't understand our english). We did write and complain about our problems (too much to go into) and this hotel did not even reply to our letter. It's a fair hotel for the money but sadly the staff could have been a bit more helpfull. We won't be returning."

A good choice for all
"July 20th 2004. My wife and I have just returned from spending a week at the Hotel Savoy on a half board basis. Part of the deal included the provision of a hire car, the only charge for this was the insurance and petrol. The hotel was very clean and tidy, with a welcoming reception area. The rooms were basic but adequate and were serviced daily, plenty of hot water was always available, so showers were enjoyable. Carpeting was laid on all stairs and corridors, which reduced the amount of noisey footsteps passing, if you went to bed early. Allthough door banging was a problem on a few nights, not the hotels fault though, just a couple of inconsiderate guests. Food at the Hotel was of good quality, well prepared and presented, with a varied choice menu. Breakfasts were exellent. Staff members were from all over the place, Poland, Portugal, Ireland, East Europe, but in all cases, were very pleaseant and always helpful. Nothing was to much trouble. Facilities are good, parking at the front is easy, nice intimate pool area with adequate seating. Main shopping area and promenade of St. Helier are all within a 10 minute casual stroll of the Hotel. All in all, a good choice for a base in St. Helier. The Hotels 3 star rating is well deserved."

"This hotel is absolutely brilliant. We went at the start of summer last year, and we were not disappointed! Our rooms were lovely and were cleaned everyday from top to toe! The food was excellent, and we really did enjoy ourselves as the waiters were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel staff are just absolutely brilliant and are so funny. We got to know several, including a boy over from ireland for the summer, it was an excellent week, and i would love to come back next summer!"
