Drab run down Beachcomber (Jersey UK)
"This hotel is very run down and need of urgent refurbishement. The staff are very friendly which makes it difficult to really down this hotel. However the rooms are poor, our door continued to knock all night as there was no draft excluder around the door frame. You could hear the room aboves every movement, I mean every movement! Overal until the place modernises it is not worth staying here, it is old and tired and more like an old persons retirement home than a hotel. We ended up cutting our stay short and moving to St Helier and paying for a lovel hotel called the Royal Yacht."

"This hotel is great, deserves far more than a 2 star rating, the food is first class, the staff very friendly and helpful, lovely pool area and games room for the kids. The location is beautiful - but quiet. We would definitely stay there again."

Made me cry
"In 25 years travelling to Jersey, this was undoubtly our worst experience yet! If you're thinking of going ... DON'T! Say goodbye to your tastebuds! On the first night we looked forward to our evening dinner, we were disapointed. There is very little variety for teenagers to eat, and often deserts were in short supply so by the time you were having yours there was none left. Fresh cream and ice-cream were non- existant. Breakfasts were no better. You had to wait at least 5 mins for your eggs, so by this time you had already eaten the rest of you breakfast. Boring at night time, nothing to do, too far from night life. tennis was good, pool got very deep in the middle not good for small kids. we had an extra visitor with us crawling along the floor! what it was, we dont know. Bedroom traffic noise started at 5 am every morning - not relaxing. I wouldnt go again."
