Jersey is the largest of the Channel Islands and is located just off the coast of Normandy, France.
The island is very popular with French and British holidaymakers due to its close proximity to both countries as well as its mix of both cultures. With over 40 miles of coastline there are a variety of beaches to visit, from quiet coves to popular resort beaches like St. Brelade’s. Many of these beaches offer the opportunity to try out watersports such as surfing and canoeing. Other attractions include the Durrell Wildlife Park; a zoo founded by the famous author and animal lover Gerald Durrell and the La Mare Wine Estate where visitors can sample some of the award-winning wines that are produced there.
Like the UK and France, Jersey has four distinct seasons with temperatures being highest in the summer months of July and August and coldest from December through to February.
Flights to the island land at Jersey airport which is located just over 4 miles from the capital: St Helier.
