Excellent Hotel - What more can you say!

"My husband and I have just returned from the Crystal Sunrise Queen and it has to be one of our best holidays ever. The weather, food, staff and the all-inclusive beverages where second to none. Free beach towels, mini bar replenished daily with beer, water, soft drinks, nuts and chocolate. Next year the new building and the waterslides will be open all time. Must say we did go on the slides a few times and had great craic lol.

The staff were very friendly and attentive and could not enough for you. My husband and I plan to return next June as July was just too hot and we have never been to the same place twice, so it's a thumbs all round for the Sunrise Queen Hotel"

"This hotel was previously known as the Sunrise Queen
Booked with Thomsons from Newcastle. Good customer service good airport
experience.
Went for 1 week with husband, teenage son and parents who have some walking difficulties.
We arrived late; a fresh snack was especially prepared for us.
Thomsons rep helped facilitate our request for our settee bed to be changed for a single bed as mattress a little flimsy for a growing teenager (who had actually been charged as an adult anyway) Hotel had no problem with this.
Large complex nowhere was inaccessable for those with walking difficulties due to lifts and excellent layout of facilities. Loads of space and sunbeds; nowhere felt overcrowded in fact it was a suprise the hotel was full.
Exceptional cleanliness, several swimming pools dotted around the complex, large private beach area fully maintained by hotel. Long walkway along the coastline of Side.
New mini water park (4 slides) newly opened and there is some ongoing building work to complete new family apartments. There was no disruption to our holiday with this work going on.
Spar and roomy Indoor pool . Gym equipment mostly out of order this was the only disapointment of the facilities on offer
Fantastic food for all tastes. 24 hr bar available; Great selection of all inclusive alcohol, Their version of Baileys and Martini close to the real thing. Bottle Efes beer also part of all inclusive
All staff were kind and keen to serve without any over the top 'I hope you give me a tip' attitude
My parents were really well looked after.
My son required treatment from doctor who was great and contacted insurance company direct so we did not have to fork out and claim on our return.
Plenty of Russians for entertainment value (how much food can you pile on your plate competition)
We will return when the agents reduce their prices, I notice the price has doubled for the schools summer hols....outrageous!!"

"Just returned from spending 11 nights at the Sunrise Queen. We had been told it was a good hotel by friends who had stayed here and were not disappointed. Our room was large and modern and the mini bar stocked daily. The food was excellent with great presentation and variety. The a la carte nights were very good. Good facilities with a number of pools and right on the beach which was also very good and clean. The staff were excellent and friendly and we especially wanted to mention the girls who work in the Sunset View bar and looked after us very well. We went all inclusive and glad we did as all cocktails etc were included. All in all a great holiday and we will definately return."

"Due to a 13 hour plus Thomson flight delay we arrived a day late at around 6am, checkin was simple no fuss, room was ready and the fridge stocked.
Our 2 weeks AI could not have been better, food excellent, varied and plentyful.Wine either by the glass or bottle, cocktails all included.Nothing was to much trouble for the staff at this hotel and would like to thank the following, Abdulla, Adnnan, Mahmut, Polat
and the 2 girls who served in the Sunset bar.
Also the animation team know how to have laugh.
Room was large with a huge TV(if you want to watch TV whilst on holiday), balcony with a sea view, and A/C.
This hotel has its own stretch of Blue Flag Beach, and waiter service on the beach.
Walk into Side takes about 40 minutes along the very flat prom.
Side at night is a busy place and worth a look."

"We have just returned from our 33rd visit to this hotel. We stayed 22 nights and have no complaints whatsoever. This is excellent accommodation.
Hotel is 5 star rating and deserving of this. Hotel is spotlessly clean- the food is a varied buffet with two a la carte to choose from (1 free per stay per week).
Lunch time buffet is equally as good at both the Waterfall restaurant or Phaselis restaurant offers an alternative set menu.
Options are available for either alfresco dining, with magnificent sea views or indoor facilities.
Good, shops, indoor/outdoor pools and free beach and sunbeds.
Gardens and hotel kept beautifully.
When we first visited this hotel in 1998 the general manager Ali Ucas was extremely passionate about the hotel and its staff, and ensured all the guests were happy. Unfortunately Ali and his family left the hotel to live in Australia, both his staff and return guests were devastated at the loss. During the previous 5 years the hotel saw various managers, who really did not have the same passion as Ali. Fortunately now Ali has returned as general manager and with him bringing the enthusiasm and passion for detail. Many staff who had previously left the hotel has now also returned.
Staff at the hotel are professional and highly attentive. They are genuinely pleasant individuals; not just out for tips.
The Reception staff are extremely helpful and all speak English which in previous years this has not been the case. Well done Altan!!

For the evening strollers among you, there is a lovely beach front promenade for approx 2.5km into Side old town, shops and restaurants.
There are lots of steps on site, but also lifts to get you to each level which overcome this, so the less mobile can manage easily.

English is well spoken throughout the establishment and will not cause you a problem during your stay.
The best Hotel in Side I know because we have walked the entire stretch of beach into Side and breathed a huge sigh of relief that we wasn’t staying in any of the other hotels.
The others seem to be cheap and full of screaming kids, with sunbeds packed close together on the beach.. This hotel has nightly live entertainment also which is varied from musicals to live acrobatic shows.
There are ongoing building works at the hotel, a new family block, thankfully the workmen and women!! we observed daily do most of the hard labour by hand, with the minimal amount of machinery. If I virtually no noise and can honestly say it didn’t spoil our holiday one bit.
Lovely architecture, however some guests disregard the rules by hanging towels etc over their balconies. When I spoke to reception regarding my concern they informed me that they send letters to the guests concerned asking them to refrain from doing so, however some guests tend to disregard this request. In my opinion if everyone had this attitude, then the entire look of the hotel would be spoiled. Would those offending guests want to stay at a hotel were towels hung over every balcony??"

"We recently spent a week at this hotel/resort, having never been to Turkey before. It must be said that this is the nicest foreign hotel we have ever stayed in. The quality of the decor, furnishings etc was excellent. The staff were really friendly and could not do enough for you. Everybody did all that they could to make your holiday a great one!
The hotel is set across a huge complex on many different levels, so fun can be had just exploring the different areas as you wander down to the pool or the beach. The hotel is located on the beachside and approx 30 mins walk from Side town along the newly built promenade. The town is filled with the usual shops and eateries but is also home to ruins from past cultures, including temples and amphitheatres....quite a find!
The room at the hotel was well looked after and even included a 40in Flatscreen TV...a real bonus! The downside being the selection of channels to watch but hey, we weren't there to sit and watch TV! Amongst the various levels of the hotel were bars, restaurants, nightclub, shops, squash/tennis courts, a spa, hairdresser, indoor pool and gym.
The food selection from breakfast through to evening meal was fabulous....so much to choose from, all freshly prepared and presented beautifully! Huge thanks to all the chefs and waiting staff.
The entertainment at the hotel was of a better standard than many we have experienced before so this was also a pleasant change. The nightlife was lacking at this end of the beach but you could walk into Side or even take a cheap bus/taxi...not exactly a hardship!
Water and beach sports were available during the day, and fish were swimming in abundance around the various piers etc for the snorkellers.
The weather was fabulous...not too hot, so everything could be enjoyed fully!
I could go on even further but will take a rest now. Overall, it was a brilliant week and we would happily go back for more...and more!"

The best hotel we've ever visited in Turkey!

"I was in Crystal Sunrise Queen Luxury Resort & Spa in Side from 18th till 28th of May with my parents. The Hotel is really wonderful!!!! I was in Turkey more than 12 times, and I can compare with other hotels. In my opinion Crystal is the best I’ve ever visited! My parents were in Crystal Hotel more than 10 times. And they are not going to change it next time. If they want to come to Turkey, they already know where to go!  Everything is organized very well. First of all, the hotel is really beautiful! And it seems big, but you can get from one side of the hotel to another for 3 minutes. There are elevators everywhere. Secondly, I’d like to emphasize that all the staff works on really high level. Everybody is well-behaved, polite, kind and not obsessive. All of them speak foreign languages. Most of them speak perfect German and English; they also speak a bit Russian. Every minute when they see you, they greet you with a smile. And it seems that they know you already long time, and you feel like at home or friend’s house. Really nice and hospitable atmosphere. Then, cuisine in the hotel is Super!!!!!!! There is a huge amount of different tasty meals. And I’d like to mention that there are always Diet Products (for breakfast, lunch and dinner). So if you have to follow special diet you can choose this Hotel without any problems. You can always find a great variety of fresh vegetables and fruits. The Chef is really a master! Everything is so delicious that you want to try all of the meals! Also, I’d like to say that there is a great Spa Center in the hotel. I’ve made the course of massages and it was wonderful!

There are not enough words to mention all the advantages of Crystal! It’s just perfect and we advise everybody to have a holiday in Crystal Sunrise Queen!

We would like to wish all the best for everybody who works in the Crystal Sunrise Queen! It’s really perfect and wonderful place for spending the holiday! Thank you very much for everything you do. Be sure that we will visit Crystal again and again!

Best regards!
Family Ibragimov.

"Cannot fault it. A very big hotel with entertainment every night. Overwhelmingly luxury. Very clean. Towels & bedding changed every day. No fighting for sunbeds, ample of everything! Great food, buffet style meals in half board with lots of choice. Private beach. Safe to walk around at night - a walk to Side takes about 30mins along the front...but longer if you stop off at the bars on-route!!
Most shops expect you to haggle for goods but don't let that bother you, the folk are very friendly."

"We spent a week at the Sunrise Queen all inclusive in May and thoroughly enjoyed it. We decided to go all inclusive based on the reviews on tripdavisor and didn't regret it. The food was wide-ranging and fantastic - we were spoilt for choice every time.

Ask for a room with a sea view. The walk into the main town is 35 mins. Service is great, and always performed with a smile. Decor is late 70s and has a bit of a retro glam feel about nowadays.

Would go again, a very relaxing week in the sun. Great for families and couples of all ages, but not a great place if you want to party all night and tear it up like Pete Doherty."

"12 days in this hotel in Side and have no complaints whatsoever. I have stayed in top quality hotels such as in Sun City in South Africa and various in Dubai. For the med, this is excellent accomodation.
Hotel is 5 star rating and deserving of this. Hotel is spotlessly clean- the food is a varied buffet with two a la carte to choose from (1 free per stay per week).
Lunch time and 22:00hrs buffet equally as good.

Good gym, shops, indoor/outdoor pools and free beach/sunbeds.
Gardens and hotel kept beautifully. Staff professional and highly attentive. They are genuinely pleasant individuals; not just out for tips.

For the evening strollers among you, there is a lovely beach front promenade for approx 2.5km into Side old town, shops and restaurants.
There are lots of steps on site, but also lifts to get you to each level which overcome this, so the less mobile can manage easily. My elderly Father managed to get to the beach without tackling lots of steps each day and just had two down onto the promenade.

This is a hotel more suited to couples only- and it is frequented more by German and Russian tourists than the brits which we personally enjoyed.
English is well spoken throughout the establishment and will not cause you a problem during your stay.
Easily the best Hotel in Side- I know because I went and had a look inside the others- and left breathing a huge sigh of relief that I wasnt staying there!

The others seem to be cheap "bucket and spade" jobs full of screaming kids and atrocious entertainment.
This hotel has nightly live entertainment also which is varied from musicals to live acrobatic shows. I didnt get to see them as we were always out and about, but they were always packed with spectators- this is usually a good sign.

There are ongoing building works at the hotel- a point that Good old Thomas Cook omitted to tell us before departure- (letter waiting upon our return??) but thankfully the workmen we observed daily do most of the hard labour by hand, with the mimal amount of machinery. If I hadnt stumbled accross the site, I wouldnt have known it was there- virtually no noise and can honestly say it didnt spoil our holiday one bit.

The work should be completed by the end of June we were told by the hotel, but ask your Travel operator for confirmation and/or a quiet room just to be on the safe side.
Very nice holiday indeed."

"Returned to the Sunrise Crystal Queen again this year for our honeymoon. Last year we were impressed but not so much this year. Huge refurbishment to the waterfall restaurant very impressive as it no longer looked like the bat cave, the beach bar was almost completed before we left last year it is a big asset now. The bowling alley and games and internet room were a great as the 40" TV in our room had nothing worth watching. The food last year was exceptional this year got a little boring. we attended the return visitors meal which was an evening wasted. It is nice that the hotel acknowledges return guests but a gift of a bag designed to advertise the hotel is cheap. We were treated like celebs this year as it was our honeymoon, we had champagne fruit and cakes in our room, and when we visited the al a carte italian restaurant we had another bottle of champagne and the chef had made us a cake with candles on to celebrate our honeymoon. One sign of a good hotel is the staff, and it was nice that most of the staff from last year were still employed. The turkish people have amazing memories and remember who tips them they see thousands of tourists all year yet they still all remembered us.Worth every penny. We thought it funny how Ali Ucas the General Manager operates, he walks round the hotel like a tourist, wherever you go he seems to be there, perhaps it was because we were on honeymoon, he eats in the restaurants and just mingles in. Nothing deters the staff, one morning all the tables were laid outside for breakfast and it started to rain, within 30 minutes the staff had transferred everyone to an indoor restaurant. We hope to return to the Sunrise Queen again once all the building work has finished next year perhaps for our anniversary, we are frightened to go anywhere else as this is a 5 star, but the guests are the same as us just down to earth types, we enjoyed playing dominoes with the older guests.
