Beautiful hotel. Lovely holiday
"Just back from staying here for 2 weeks. Beautiful, peaceful with beautiful views of Mount Babadag. Lovely spacious pool , kept really clean with plenty of sun beds to go around. Staff can't do enough for you. Food excellent and very reasonable. Lots to do all around too from Beautiful beaches to water parks, jeep safari, quad biking . Lovely restaurants and bars just a few minutes walk if that's what you fancy. Go there you will not be disappointed."

The worst hotel in Turkey, do not book this hotel
"The title says it all and actually you do not even get what you pay for. We booked a balcony room and were given a disgusting staff room at the top of the building (see photos). The staff were then forced to sleep on the sun loungers, actually this is probably a better option than the rooms in question!! Having asked why the staff were sleeping there we were told that they liked the sound of the pool!! Yes, they certainly looked comfortable wrapped in a sheet to keep away the mosquitoes, even the female staff were forced out of their rooms and made to sleep outside. All, so guests who had booked and paid for a room with balcony could be accommodated in a room with windows that fell out if you tried to open them, no sockets, showers that would fall on you and flooded the room. Even the corridors leading to these festering pits looked like something from prisoner cell block H.
We came as a family and friends group of nine, four children under the age of fifteen and five adults. Four of our group are experienced teachers and were very much looking forward to our holiday abroad. The married couple in this group were given a decent enough family room. Myself and my daughter were given the above mentioned room, as was the other single parent with her son, our single friend received the same. We were appalled, tired and extremely disappointed on our arrival and it got no better. We were all told that if rooms came up we could have them, but even guests not in the staff rooms were asking to move. As we were booked for 3 weeks we were totally distraught at the thought of staying in these rooms. My daughter has asthma and became ill very quickly, staying was untenable. So we asked if we could temporally share a better room thus freeing up one of the staff rooms and ensuring my daughter got no worse. In fairness we were given a room to share, but having booked rooms to our selves we found ourselves sharing with my friend and her nine year old son. The staff rooms were so bad we were actually grateful thinking this was a temporary measure until a room came up for each of us. We asked everyday for the rooms we had paid for and were told later, later. I love my friend but sharing was not what we had booked up for especially for 3 weeks. In the meantime our other friend was forced to stay in the prison block, she was eventually moved to a basement room. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS I did not see this room until she actually asked to go back to prison. Top to bottom it was full of mold and just stank, absolutely disgusting, my dog has a better kennel.
It only got worse, if our married male friend accompanied us we were treated with a degree of respect, on our own we were treated despicably. The room had a table outside and if our children were sleeping we would take our and their breakfast to the table rather than leave them on their own, who would risk that? We had hired a fridge at some cost and would put their breakfast in the fridge until they awoke. One morning I was told that I could not take breakfast to the table, I pointed out that I was not prepared to leave my daughter on her own in the room and persisted in taking breakfast to my table. Men in this hotel believe that women should know their place and single mothers are a definite no, no. Having "disobeyed" a male member of staff I was victimized throughout this holiday causing myself and daughter a great deal of distress. As we were leaving on the bus the male staff stood at the bar and stuck two fingers up at us. My daughter is twelve....... But it did pretty much sum up our treatment at this hotel. Do yourselves a favor, look at the next cheapest and book that. THIS HOTEL IS A NIGHTMARE.

3 Glorious Weeks
"We Are Just Back From 3 Lovely Weeks At The Seyir Village Hotel In Ovacik Turkey. The Hotel Is Small But Very Friendly & All The Staff Are Great From Elvis (Mehmet) Odd Job Chef & All The Cleaners Were Great Linen Was Changed Every Day, The Pool Was Well Kept With A Big Slide & Nice Bridge Across. The Rooms Are Basic But Just What You Need With Shower & Bath Hair Dryer Clean Towels Daily. This Is A Must For A Cheap Holiday With A View To Die For I Would Thoroughly Recommend This Hotel Situated Below The Lovely Babadag Mountain. Looking Forward To Meeting Up With All The Lovely Friends We Made Again Next Year Thanks Steve & Michelle"

"We had a lovely holiday, the staff were all so nice and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. We hope to return next year. When we went to the town (10mins away) we were never hastled to go into restaurants or shops (very refreshing).
All in all a truely lovely holiday.

You get what you pay for
"My partner and I stayed at this hotel last year (2010) for a week and were thrilled. we found it very cheap and was surprised at how nice it was for the money. Food was average, not great but by no means awful. Staff were friendly and did everything we asked, even though they received no tip from us throughout our stay.
Whilst we were there, a young couple from liverpool arrived and attacked the bar staff, they dealt with this in a very professional manner which left me feeling safe.
The pool was clean and the slide is an added bonus. the town centre is a 10min walk away and Olu deniz a short (cheap) bus away. it is every thing you would expect from a bargain beach holiday!
I have read the other reviews from this site and thought the same as you, how can the reviews differ so significantly? all I can say is I went last year in June, met two other couples there and we all left happy!"

Nice comfortable apartments
"Stayed here in May 2007. Room consisted of a double bedded room and a sofa bed and kitchenette.
Food was nice but we spent most of our time in Hisaronu which was about a 10/15 minute walk down the hill (or 25 mins in heels). The downside was trying to get back up it on the way home. Pool was OK but a bit smaller than some hotels.
Not bad for the price we paid."

Nice hotel, bargain holiday
"Stayed here in October 2006 for a week. The hotel was supopsed to be AOA but we were told before hand. Was a lovely hotel and only cost us £111 each for hotel, flight and transfers.
The pool looked lovely and had a large waterslide but unfortunately it didn't stop raining whilst we were there so didn't get to try it out.
The staff were brilliant and very helpful. If they didn't have the food we wanted (which was nice) they sent a taxi out for it (and our cigs.lol).
The room was nice, clean and comfortable and also had a bath! Lovely."

"We (my husband, myself and my parents) stayed at the Seyir hotel last year. What a joke!
Rooms - Tiny, decaying, dark and noisy.
Food - Horrendous, same food put out meal after meal, day after day. Typical menu: fish heads, fly infested salad, tasteless soup and cold rice.
Drink - Limited by the bar staff, they serve who they want when they want. We were refused drinks at 10pm one evening because we hadn't eaten in the hotel (could they blame us?). Everything tastes extremely watered down, especially the lager (the same lager is served in the town with a completely different taste).
Staff - You can't really blame them for trying but they will do anything to get you to pay for your drinks, from disappearing to simply downright refusing! Bar staff are very quick to bang a bucket in your face expecting a tip though! I won't even go there with the manager!!! Read other reviews! People were actually being threatened by him whilst we were staying.
Goldtrail - Reps are rubbish. Couldn't care less. Would much rather be downing a beer at the bar than helping out disgruntled customers.
They say a holiday is what you make it but please do read these reviews carefully before you book here. We paid All Inclusive prices yet were forced to eat and drink out most nights. Local pubs and restaurants simply laugh when they see your All Inclusive wristband. The hotal is the towns biggest joke. On a plus side there are plenty of other lovely restaurants and bars in Ovacik and Hisaronu.
We weren't the only holiday makers in tears, the entire guest list was. It is awful and no one cares."

More than a pleasant surprise!
"Just got back from 1 week staying at the Seyir Village Hotel in Ovacik and what a little gem it is! This was my 8th holiday in the area and I can safely say this was one of the best (and cheapest) hotels I have had the pleasure of staying...
After reading several bad reviews, I was a bit worried as to what I might find on my arrival but having already booked, I had no choice but to go.
I had NOTHING to worry about.
The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk from the town centre so well in reach of anything you need but far away enough to enjoy some peace and quiet.
We went all inclusive and glad we did - we were never left hungry and there was everything from ham burgers to traditional Turkish dishes to choose from - all very yummy!
Our room was very clean and well looked after - we were given fresh towels and bedding every day. The room came with air conditioning, a safe, TV, hair dryer etc at no additional cost and also had a bath and shower.
All the staff are very friendly and do as much as they can to make your stay an enjoyable one. From what I understand, the hotel is under new management which is why there has been such a drastic change since the bad reviews I read. I will definitely be returning to the seyir village and will reccommend to everyone!"

Seyir Village absolutley fab!!!
"Arrived in early hours of the morning after a boring journey, but were politley welcomed at the hotel by Hero a waiter there. He even offered us a drink whilst checking in. After much needed sleep, woke up to the bright sun and a beautiful view from our balcony. The pool was lovley with plenty of sunbeds, and a good bar and eating area. Location is very good close to Hisaranu town and the local dolmus stop is very close if you want to explore Fethiye or Olu Deniz. We had such a nice time and all the staff made very welcome, always smiling, very helpful, and work so so hard. It made me sad to hear some customers being rude to them, but they were still polite and worked even harder.
Enjoyed a week here, but its wasn't long enough and will definatley go back this year."
