"I stayed at Sinem in August. No hot water for shower in morning, they changed rooms ok for a couple of days but no hot water again. Hotel was basic, staff was ok. There was cats roaming all round dining tables while having your meals. Marmaris is a lovely place except for the hassle from the shops and restaurants, we was locked in a jewellers to buy but we refused, then again a leather shop. Go for a boat cruise they're excellent and try Piccadilly restaurant for a meal very good, and Talk of the Town is not to be missed. I wouldnât go back to the Sinem or Marmaris."

This was our first time in Turkey after ...
"This was our first time in Turkey after hearing fantastic reviews of lots of friends and family about Marmaris in particular. The resort was nice and would look to visit again however would not use this hotel again. The bar staff were very friendly and polite. The owner and his family of the hotel were not friendly and we found unapproachable. Our room was not cleaned in over a week, we also did not have clean towels or bedding in our first week there either. We should have had daily maid service which we received only occasionally. Our floor was only mopped twice to my knowledge. Our bathroom was cleaned only once during our two week stay. This is NOT daily maid service. We do not stay in our room a lot during our holiday as we like to be out and about, but at the very least I expect it to be clean - which it wasn't. Our toilet stopped working during one of our first days there and it took the staff over 36 hours to come and see what the problem was. It only took about 15 minutes to actually sort the problem. We were told in the meantime to use the toilets in reception, hardly acceptable in the middle of the night. We have since tried to contact First Choice about our holiday and having been home now for 4 weeks we still have not heard off them. Hardly our First Choice for our holiday next year!! "

"i booked this holiday at the last minute with one of my friends. what a great choice. the staff were so friendly and within a few hours arriving they new exactly what we wanted at the bar. the rooms were of average size but as said on other reviews the shower was tiny. in order to wash my hair i had to keep turning the water on and off! however, they were very clean and the maids came in daily. the breakfast was basic, ie, bread/toast, jams, cheese, eggs and drinks. however this was more than sufficient and im a very fussy eater. the pool was great, large by marmaris standards, clean and with plentiful loungers and mattresses. everyone that we spoke to during our stay had been to the sinem many times. its a small family run place and everyone was so friendly. i would recommend this hotel/apartments to anyone. one word of warning to anyone going soon, marmaris is having major problems with mosquitos, so go prepared."

brilliant for everyone amazin staff!!
"hi, me and my boyfriend took the 2 kids here last year, what can i say my 2nd time in turkey, the kids first holiday abroad and everyone loved it... this hotel was perfect location, just a few minutes from main street/beach etc... not too close so it was quiet enough to sleep at night, but literally just 2/3 mins and you were in the centre of everything.. the hotel itself was very clean, very well run and staff were brilliant, a couple own this hotel and they are so friendly, at the end of the night after us sitting and drinkin all night the boys would bring the bill and the couple would take it off them deduct about 30 lira from it (about £10) and then sent it over. and this was everynight.. they have 2 pools, a small kids one and a larger one for adults, both beside one another. only one bad point to make about the hotel and that was there was no lift so on the night we arrived with 4 suitcases, a pram and 2 sleeping children and had to cart everything up 4 flights of stairs... (staff did help) overall an excellent hotel, excellent staff and excellent location.... so good we intend on going back this year and met couple out there who have been heading back to that same hotel for 12 years... definately worthwhile for a family holiday, girlie holiday, young couple or just a relaxing break.... ;)"

very poor value for money
"this was a very basic hotel . the breakfast was not as id been led to believe it was turkish hard boiled egg salad and cheese. they would do english breakfast if we paid extra. rooms very small shower cubicle was very small and u couldnt turn round in it and very had to get in it unless u were anorexic. no english tv or radio in hotel. reception entrance had been locked so entry was via garden gate with 3 very deep broken steps 3 of us had mobility problems and it was so painful trying to use them one man had to carry wife s wheelchair up and down the steps then carry his wife. the staff were friendly enough but it didnt help the situation. as for marmaris well it was ok and locals were so friendly and well mannered.meals out were very good and cheap. one restaurant in icmeler sends free taxi to take uyou for dinner £5 and all u can eat and free bottle wine and free taxi back"

Basic but clean
"My wife and I have just returned from a week in Marmaris at the Sinem Hotel. From outside the hotel doesn't look up to much but inside you are presented with a very clean and tidy hotel. The rooms are basic but were sufficient for our stay. They were cleaned daily and towels and linen changed twice a week. The showers were cold in the morning, but very warm in the evening, probably due to the solar water heating system they had. Breathe in when you get into the only lift as it's a bit small. (4 people max) The pool is a fair size, approx 12mtrs x 7mtrs and is between 1.5mtrs and 2mtrs deep. It is kept clean and tidy and there are plenty of sunbeds around the pool. There is a shallow baby pool. If I were to go again I wouldn't go B+B as the breakfast is a basic bread and jam or maybe some toast with boiled egg. Coffee, tea and fruit juice are also available.Or, you can pay and have something on offer in the menu. Be warned, breakfast finishes at 10am. The staff are very nice and welcome you with a smile. The hotel itself is in a good position only a few minutes walk from shops, restaurants, bars and of course the beach. Overall we had a very pleasant stay here and although I probably wont return we met people who go back year after year, so it must have something. Definately recomend the Sinem Hotel"

"We have just returned from marmaris and we stopped in (sinem hotel and apartments) for 2 weeks. The apartments were cleaned every day, the swimming pool is a nice size and gets the sun all day. The staff couldn,t have been better they were very helpful and freindly. The food was very nice and they had a bbq every night which is very cheap. The boss abdi and his wife are very freindly and pleasent people. The beach is only 5 mins walk .You pay extra for air conditioning which is cheap, overall we would highly recommend it for families or couples. A********************"

If your going to turkey you have to stay in this hotel!!!....
"Cant begin to tell you how relieved i was when me and my boyfriend turned up at this hotel, ill be honest its not much to look at from the out side but when u get in, the staff could not be any nicer, and the grounds are extremely pretty with the tropical plants and flowers. The pool is a very decent size, and comapred to other pools around marmaris we were very lucky. They serve very nice food, and have a bbq everyday where u can order fresh food and if u wanted u can ask them for exaple fish for the next day and they go out and buy it to be cooked for you the next day. The rooms are slightly basic, but are extremely clean and bins are emptied, and rooms cleaned every day. You have to pay extra for air conditioning but it is very cheap. Overall couldnt fault the hotel one bit and would highly recomend. A********"

"my husband and i have just returned after staying in sinem for 2 weeks.the owners couldnt do enough for us.the lads behind the bar was surperb, they never stopped working or smiling.on arrival we asked for extra pillows they were bought to us within ten mins of asking.the pool was a good size bigger than you see on the pics in brochere.plenty of sun loungers with free matress and plenty of sunshades.we ate at the hotel a few nights because the food was excellent and on par with other restaurants, in fact the owner cooked us a lamb dish it was beautiful,on our last sat nite they had a bbq, with tradtion trukish dancers all for £6.00 a head, real good night.we didnt want to leave and would defenitly return, its been the most relaxing hotel we have ever stayed in.the rooms are basic but very clean, no extras like soap etc, but thar didnt worry us cos we always take our own, though it has got a hairdryer, you do have to pay for air con,but again its not much, the only thing that got to us was the mossies, but that cant be any ones fault ,so do take plenty of repellent, we wasnt aware that they were that bad and that made a right meal out of my ankles, so if you are familar with the tiny pests you will know what there like.if you a 1st time traveeler like us , be prepared with plenty of repellent, although the hotel did all it could to solve the prob ,with spraying the rooms, and a mozzie heater at night.over all i would give the hotel 10/10.sorry if im rambeling but i could take about my holi all day it was that good."

the lovely sinem hotel & apts
"We have just returned from a weeks holiday in the sinem hotel & apts and what a lovely week it was! The weather was 35 degrees all week, and the hotel was great. Myself, husband and 14 year old daughter stayed self catering in a 1 bedroomed apt. We didnt arrive until the early hours of the morning and found they had made up the sofa bed in the lounge to save us messing around after our journey. The apts are very clean, with maid service every day. They are spacious and have all the basics. The family run hotel is just the right size and everyone there had been coming to the same apts for years. The family were very friendly and were always ready with a smile, for any requests. As for marmaris...it was fantastic! We were less than 5 minutes from the beach, shops and bars, with the marina a little further. We were warned about being hassled a lot by the locals but expected it to be much worse. They were friendly, helpful and up for a laugh. I can highly recommend the Turtle Bar, where we spent many a night until the early hours of the morning, and the british bar, with its elvis and blues brothers tributes! If you do venture out onto a boat trip, find the one run by a chap called sezar. It has the best reputation and we had a fantastic day, and it was unbelievably cheap (6 pounds each!) We will return the sinem and would recommend it to any couples/families of any age, wanting a quite base for a fantastic holiday!"
