"My family and just returned from Marmaris. On arriveing at Sharas they had no cot for my young son who is only 9 months, we stayed 3 nights and left. The apartments are dirty, bathrooms are filthy, satff abusive to my daughter. made fun of our situation as we had to climb 3 flihts of stairs with our son and the pram. staff just watched.
Air conditioning does not work, bedding and towels filthy. Dont even go here local dog uses the pool as a toilet. These apartments and staff bring shame on Marmaris. "

"We travelled in a party of 11 and had 4 appartments. The owner (Tanner) made sure we were all in adjoining rooms.
The rooms are sapcious and very clean. A good maid service, clean towels and beds changed every other day, bins enptied and floors swept every day.
The staf are brillant, they can't do enough for you and are great fun. There is a few of them but in a couple of days they new all our names. After a few more days they started giving us nick names.
Tanner is keen to get you to experience some turkish dishes, tea, coffee etc. He had us behind the bar brewing coffee, then he will read your coffee cups. you will understand if you go there.
Head waiters Alfy and Engin are fantastice. Engin is a gent and speaks better English than me. Alfy is just crazy. I think I sold my daughter for 30 sheep?? after that he called my wife mother in law for the rest of the holiday, by the way he was not all over my daughter, he was just having fun. They dont pester the girls at these apartments.
You did not need money around the pool. You just charge to your room and settle at the end of the day or in the morning. Great idea. In 2 weeks and out of 4 rooms we had one query which was sorted without any problem.
They have a drag act which is well worth checking out. The 2 guys actually stay at the appartments and are good fun.
In all a very fun and entertaining 2 weeks.
There are a couple of down points which i think is only fair to mention. Sorry Tanner!
The apartment block is small ( 11 apartments )so they need to create more revenue, I can understand that, but they invite people from other apartments, usually the larger ones where they cant get sunbeds to use the pool. They sometime put buisiness before paying guests.
There was a bit of pressure to eat every night in their resterant.
We saw the drag act on saturday and were told the Tuesday act was different, it was 90% the same. I felt a bit ripped off. we said we would go to their barbaque but booked a boat trip for the next day and wanted a quiet night so we told staff we werent going to bbq. on the night of the bbq the owner went to one of our rooms and asked why we werent going and said we were costing him money.
If you dont mind eating in one place every night they have a good deal, £70 per person per week gets you half board.
Would I go back? Probably. The pressure to use their resturaunt and the pool visitors put me off though.
If you want to book trips, Del Boy across the road will sort you out. he also comes across to the apartments and has a good laugh with guests.

How can you complain about Shara's !!!!!
"This holiday was fantastic, how he last review can slate this place is beyond me i have never been to Turkey before and booked this holiday as a last minute thing. What a good decision i made. The staff and owners here (Taner & Michelle) could not do enough for us our room was spotless everyday and the food we ate here was fantastic. A few nights of our holiday we did venture out to numurous restraunts with glowing references from the boys at Shara's ( if you fancy a fab chinese head to the Villa Sol Hotel on the beech.) So i can not say i felt any preasure to stay in the apartments. So to sum it all up a fab holiday"

"on arrival very good was met by tanner and staff carried cases, michelee said that she thought we were comin the following day, but realised about 2 hrs before us arriving, said that they were over booked and we would be in the ground floor apartment until one came available in a few days. in the ground floor, i opened the curtains to be looked upon the kitchen/prep area, so could not have curtains or windows open, also balcony overlooked too. next day went for breakfast tanner said he would move us in 5 to 6 days, i do not think so, so he managed to find a room at 3 oclock the same day!!! this room was alot better. had acouple of meals there, but prefered to go to the amadeus bar accross the road, where no hassle and they were great with the girls, food and entertainment brill. we were never approached but our children were asked by sharas staff why we go over there they said you sleep here you eat drink here, i'm sorry i like to try different places and go where i want. (just a pity amadues does not do accommodation) however room clean, sheets and towels changed. lovely lady who cleans."

"I booked this holiday with my 9yr old son, my friend and her children (8 & 13), we had a fantastic time. Yes the accommodation is basic but it was clean and comfortable. Fresh towels when req and clean bedding. The food was outstanding, obviously we all have different expectations but we loved it and rarely ate anywhere else. The staff were very friendly and exceptionally good with the children. The beach was only 2km away and there was access to shops and public transport. We will definatly be going back and recommend this holiday if you want to chill and have nice company ......"

Great short stay at Shara's Apartments!
"Marmaris was a side trip on our vacation through Turkey and Greece. We only stayed one night here so this review is based on that experience.
We were supposed to be picked up from the airport and didn't find out our bus schedule until the day or two before so that's when we emailed them, but never got a confirmation. When we arrived at the bus stop, nobody was waiting for us. We ended up taking a taxi and it was no big deal, but our driver didn't know where it was (be sure to get an address for this reason just in case). When we arrived, Michelle apologized for being too busy to check her email within the last day. No big deal, we got checked in right away. We met Shara, Michelle (who's from the UK) and Taner's (who is Turkish) adorable daughter for which this resort is named after. They took us right to our rooms. By the way, no elevators here, but they helped us carry our luggage up the flights of stairs. The rooms were great! Great value. It was very spacious w/ a living room area. It had a kitchen with a balcony overlooking the pool. It looked just like the pictures. We walked down the street to buy some groceries for dinner. We used the internet for a short time. Then Shara showed us around (including her chicks in the back). She's quite adorable. When we needed help getting to our next destination, they had us go across the street and the friendly guys there helped us arrange transportation. That night, we had a few drinks at their bar. They had music playing and dancing for a few hours after dinner time (it may get loud up until this ends, I think it was around 10). It was a lot of fun. There were multiple groups there and families w/ kids ranging from age 6 to grandparents over 55. Everyone was having a good time. If you're looking for a lot of young crowds and nightlife till 2 AM or later, this is not the place. You'll have to get a taxi and go elsewhere.
Great place for all ages
Clean and spacious rooms (w/ kitchen and balcony)
No airport transfer as arranged
Difficult to find (couldn't find address anywhere on the internet)
No elevators (up to 3 floors)
The pros outweighed the cons and I would stay here again as the staff is great.

"i stayed here with friends/family in the summer and was not impressed. the rooms were dirty and sheets and towels wernt chenged in over a week although we asked on numerous occasions. the food in the restaurant wasnt 2 bad if u like that kind of thing but we were constantly pestered by the owners to spend money and it seemed like they wasnt bothered if u were enjoyin urself as long as they were making money. when we went outside they made rude remarks and said we should be spendin money in there restaurant"
