"We are staying here at the moment all inclusive you cannot ask for more the staff are great food is lovely and you can drink all day and night no questions asked on all inclusive the rooms are really spacious and really clean. If you are expecting to eat a full English breakfast every day then it is not the place for you............... stay in England !!!!!!!!!!! You must realise that you are going to a foreign country where different nationalities stay and they must and do try to cater for all nations but we really do enjoy the food here just please do not come and expect the moon on a stick"

"When we first arrived the receptionist gave us very bad rooms with no a/c and we couldn't sleep at night cause it was 45 degrees outside and extremely hot. Two days after we were constantly asking them to change our rooms and after an intervention from our agency they finally did. Thank god the new rooms were really good, with a view of the waterpark, and the a/c worked. The rooms were cleaned everyday, it's a very clean hotel. The breakfast was very average with different kinds of cheese, i would have liked it if breakfasts were richer. Dinners, on the other hand were really good, with a choice of chicken and different kinds of pasta, and the chef is always greeting you and asking you to enjoy your meal. I really enjoyed sitting by the pool in the sun, it's very quiet and the beach boy is adorable. Overall it's a very nice hotel, very quiet but i think you should make sure you get good rooms. Marmaris was amazing we will definetely come back."

I was dissapointed with the food same food every night rice and chips and also the salads werent labelled so you dont know what was in it and for desert it was melon every evening! The staff was not friendly or helpful i would recommend Marmaris but definately not Romance waste of money as we spent £570 each for 1 week waste of money for that hotel!"

"great hotel, clean and fresh with a huge rockpool inside full of koi carp. plenty of sunloungers for everyone around the pool, and the sun stays all day from dawn til dusk. its next door to the water park but not at all noisey, you wouldnt even know it was there. The beach is literally 30metres behind the pool( see photo of pool, well the beach is 30 metres behind it!!); where again, there are plenty of free sunloungers, just buy a ice cream or beer, maybe once, or twice, but theres no hassle. dont accept grapes from anyone for FREE, theyll charge you a fortune. All in all marmaris is so clean, not a single coachroach, or a fly to be seen. Excellent nightlife for familys or clubheads. wish id found marmaris years ago. the only warning goes to those who seem to go abroad, get drunk and fight the local barstaff etc; you will not win, a buzzer alerts all other bars of trouble. so leave the boxing gloves at home and enjoy a friendly lively clean marmaris, complemented by the romance hotel."

"the good points rooms were clean, view was lovley , staff at the romance bar were lovley and you could get nice sandwich there,... now bad points on 4th floor carpet didnt fit in hall way which was very dangerous as the lights were never on at night and we repeatedly had to shout down to reception for them to be put on, lifts were always getting stuck with us in them the manager wouldnt let us use air con in dining room even though i wasnt well he told us it cost money to run it, and the temp was 48degs so we needed it. tiles missing from the pool, and be careful using the steps getting in the pool as last one is very high, and there were many many wasps round the palm trees and we were stung few times. no way is this a 4* hotel at a push 2/3 and reception staff and waiters wernt helpful. food wasnt that great either"

"we were a party of 8 ages from 10 years to 67 when we arrived we were put in 3 double rooms with only one double bed in each room and very small. we had paid extra for single beds as were not couples this was not acceptable we were eventually moved after being kept waiting until the next day the food at breakfast was ok, but the evening meal was not good at all, most of the time it was cold and not enough variety, lots of pasta so if you don't like it there was not much else to choose from ,so we ended up buying from their snack bar which was excellent, but as we were half board we didn't expect to have to buy food, the hotel itself is in an excellent position as it faces the beach and is only a short walk to all shops and nightclubs we did not find the staff very friendly and they were quite rude at times, i must add we were not the only people complaining there, we have been going to turkey for the last 5 years and have always been very pleased with the other hotels we have been in , and found the turkish people very nice,"

"just returned from romance hotel, we were a party of 8 from a senior citizen to a 10 year old, the hotel itself was well situated near the beach and shops, and the rooms though being very basic were o.k. we found some of the staff ie. table staff and chief very polite and friendly, but the manager was very unhelpful to the point being very rude and as it is run by family this rubs off on all of them, also while we were there 4 of the children got an ear infection from too much chlorine in the water and had to see a doctor costing us £250. one child had food poisoning, all in all not a very good experience, we have been to turkey 4 times now and have never had this much trouble,"

"One of the nicest hotels in Marmaris. Very clean and tidy. The main pool is a good size with a separate pool for the little ones. The food is excellent (buffet style) but can be a bit repetitive over 2 weeks. The beach is about 10 feet from the pool area just across the promenade footpath. Altogether very highly reccommended. "This is a good standard 3* hotel. I know it's a 3* as the plaque behind the reception desk says - Romance - *** - Many tour operators adverise it as 4*. Anyway, we arrived 3pm, party of 4, two rooms booked. Me and the Mrs. got a 1st floor sea view room which was ideal, except it hadn't been cleaned - the rubbish left by the previous occupiers still in situ. Our friends got a room on the top floor witha view of a water slide which hadn't been cleaned either. We spoke to the reception staff, who were courteous and helpful. Our room got cleaned and our friends got another room. We had booked half boad, 7 nights with lowcostbeds (very good by the way) and the food was somewhat hit and miss. The breakfast was pretty standard for Turkish hotels but you had to get there early if you want your eggs scrambled. The evening meal ranged from good to quite poor with chicken, in one form or another offered every night. The desserts were the highlight though but the best bits went very quickly as some guests got theirs before their starters! The rooms are perfectly adequate and comfortable particularly the sea view ones at the rear. If you can get one then all the better. There is a good sized shower in the en suite. The cleaning was also unpredictable. Sometimes the room was spotless, other times it was clear they had been short on effort as there was sand still left on the floor - there's nowhere to rinse your feet when you come off the beach! All the staff are helpful although I noted that they were all quite young. There didn'y seem to be any anyone in charge which may explain the laid back, almost casual approach by the staff. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. As I said, it's good but it could be better. Three and a half out of five."

"This hotel was well situated being right on the sea front and of a tasteful design. The rooms were comfortable and the shower decent. The hotel bar and snack service seemed very good. I liked the evening meal buffet selection though I thought the breakfast buffet was by contrast very poor. It catered for the continental tastes but offered little more than palatable bread rolls, butter portions faired badly in the heat and the one source of a cup of coffee fell to vending machine malfunction for most of the week! The beach promenade was festouned or lined with bars and restaurants of which were lively in obtaining their custom. All claimed to have top quality entertainment which resulted in break dancing routines, badly miming transvestites(Cher and Tina Turner faves)and the waiters interactive dance that seemingly did not alter much night after night! That said amongst the heavily tattooed tourist types...this place has a charm that welcomes and with the great weather, its not a bad place to take the family. Take advantage of the rival local trip organisers on the beach front and bag yourself a bargain, we took the dalyman cruise we all enjoyed and the turkish bath!"
