Loved the Club Julian Hotel
"We travelled as a young family with two children aged 6 and 1. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by friendly staff and were helped with our luggage to our rooms promptly. The facilities here are fabulous for all age groups and there are many fabulous excursions that can be booked by visiting a man situated out on the street to the left of the hotel. We very much enjoyed our stay and have no doubt that we will return again very soon in the future"

"We travelled to the Club Julian on 20th Oct for 1 week, first impressions of the hotel were good, we arrived at approx 3am, we were checked in promptly by friendly staff and our luggage was taken up to our room by bellboys.
The hotel was in a really good location approx 15-20 mins walk from Marmaris Beach/Centre so you had the best of both worlds. The entertainments team ensured that our day was never dull by arranging activities every day from 10am and continuing into the wee small hours. My children didn't use the kids clubs at all whilst we were there so I can't comment on this however I think most of the kids were happy just to play on the slides at the main pool. We stayed on Half Board basis but found the food to be a bit repetitive and not a lot of choice for the younger members of the family.
The evening entertainment started off with mini disco at approx 8pm with all the usual kids clubs tunes eg cartoon heroes, YMCA etc with the main acts coming on at around 10pm, the staff worked hard for this and it showed in their performances.
We took a trip to icmeler market which was a definate must for any bargain hunter. It only cost us approx 4Lira return for 5 of us on the dolmus. Big tip though is to take plenty of English money with you as most things are priced in English and Euros but if you work out the rate of exchange you get a better bargain paying English.(still take Turkish Lira for using in Supermarkets etc)
We are returning to Marmaris in Oct 07 can't wait!!!"

I wouldnt bother if i were you!!!!
"We have just returned from two weeks at the club julian where we have stayed previously. The first time was absolutly fantastic and we loved it so much we had to go back again this yr. The pools are great and my 7 yr old loved all the kids entertainment and joined in with all the organised games. Although this year was slightly different, on arrival we had only two beds in our room and asked for a camp bed for my daughter, we were promised a camp bed by the english lady called sarah, after returning from a trip to the shops a few hours later we still had no bed, sarah had gone home and the receptrion staff were very unhelpful and refused to give us a bed, after a 20 minute debate we finally got one. Our air con didnt work we reported it to reception 5 times and nothing was done about it until we went to our holiday reps. the next day my daughters game boy and 9 games were stolen from the back of the pc chair whilst she was on the pc, again reception staff and the english girl sarah were very unhelpful and quite rude. we spoke to helen and stacey the reps who were fantastic and did everything they could to help us, although we didnt get the things back it was reasuring to know that they had tried to help. We wont be going there ever again."

"Hii, to any1 who is thinking about going to club julian go there for a great holiday i highly reccommend it as me and my partner went on the 12th June unitl 26th, when we arrived at the appartments we were really shocked we thought we had got more than what we bargained 4, the whole place is really big u hav 2 pools n waterslides 4 every1. This is great 4 every1 from couples 2 familes and elderly people, the rooms were really nice n the maids looked after u (selma). All the waiters were really friendly only thing they wud bug u to go half board or if it was to buy pancake day, kebab day, strawberries or cuppycakes. The complex also had an a la carte restaurant to eat in or else the pub grub bar also if u wer b+b or half board it had its own restaurant 2 the food was nice. The entertainment at night was brilliant u had crazy ciaran, mad marsha chocolately claire, chessy chris, elastic emma, loopy lou n mental matt we chatted away to all them they r really nice n friendly n gud fun. you had the mini disco 4 the kids for an hour it was gud fun. I feel personally that it wud b a excellent holiday for a family or any1 as it was for me and my partner. Roll on 11th June 07 When me and alot of friends n family r goin bak."

We have just returned from the most relaxing holiday.
"The Club Julain Hotel was glorious. The air conditioning as standard was superb given the high temperatures. The pool area was always clean and organised. The entertainment was fantastic. If we had kids this would have been a holiday of a life time for them and us. The Airtour entertainers were really great and kept us, never mind the kids, amused. Watch out for Crazy Ciaran, Mad Marsha and the crew. The mini disco each evening was great fun and the rehersals for the Sunday show were hilarious. The only hassel was from the waiters who kept pestering us to go half board as we were staying on a B&B basis. Beware of the museil as it is hard going. The hotel restaurant food is really great. The nearby mosque call to prayer at 5am was alarming on the first day but then it blended into the backround and you hardly noticed it at all. I would highly recommend this hotel to all for a really enjoyable holiday."

The best watch shop in the world
"We arrived at the Club Julian early in the morning, after a small problem with our rooms was sorted, we were pleased with the large bright clean rooms with large balconys. We had booked half board &there was plenty of choice. The staff were very friendly and always ready for a laugh. The hotel was modern and there was plenty to do.
The watch shop is a must, Oran who owns the shop is always smiling and sells the best designer watches, DVDs & computer games. He has just extended his shop &now sells designer glasses & perfumes, he is open all hours and still manages to be in the same happy mood. WE would like to take this chance to wish him all the very best with his new shop.
Marmaris is a great place with very friendly people they work very hard,& long hours as they are only open for 6 months of the year, they would do anything for you unlike the Spanish who think you o them. Give it a try you wont regret it."

Back for the 5th time!!
"This is our 5th year visiting Turkey and we always stay here because the place is so clean and pleasant, the waiter's and staff are so nice and courteous. The prices of the drinks have increased substantially this year but then thats true of everywhere in Turkey this year. the weather was perfect...very very hot....in fact this year it seemed hotter than ever, which did stop us going out much during the day, but the evenings are fine for going out wandering because everywhere is open til around 2 a.m including the shops. Our apartments have always been good and clean with daily visits from the maid, she makes your bed and gives you clean linen every other day and clean towels daily. Each Apartment has Air Conditioning and a Safe. The food in this hotel is good, a little more expensive than the restaurants outside but of course if you book self catering then you can eat wherever you want...we never actually self-catered! The transfer from dalaman airport is 90 minutes but you stop half way for a drink or whatever. the flight from Manchester is roughly 4 hours. The turkish Lira has recently lost all the zero's making it much easier to understand. We took 1000 pounds for a fortnights holiday to pay for meals for all 4 of us and we still took money home. The clothing here is cheap but most of it is copied stuff...although you can buy genuine articles from the designer shops along the harbour.Probably the nicest place we visited was Icmeler... very quiet but very friendly.Don't miss out on a trip to Turtle Beach or miss out on a Jeep safari as they are fun. All in all i would not go back to Spain again but Turkey gets my thumbs up everytime!"

"on arrival we were shown to our room and within 15 minutes my grandson was crying his eyes out as my wife lay knocked out on the floor, the slopeing ceilings at either side of the room were a death trap.i went to complain and was told to go back at ten the next morning to see if we could get another room .the room we got was a lot better with a pool view.breakfast poor, lunch and dinner ok but a bit repetitive I didn't know there was so many different ways to have meatballs, typical all inclusive food, the room was clean beds changed regular, the restaurant was a bit grubby the top of the skirting boards were filthy and they could do with some fly catchers in the food area and bar areas .I had a Turkish bath which was very nice.just for the experience its worth going for a ride in the taxi parked across the road outside reception put ya seat belt on . if you want a sunbed get up no later than 6-45 then from 10am till 11-30pm its loud music and kids going crazy especially when the watter slides are not in use and the kids are climbing on them. there are signs saying no diving which horrified me to see a member of the entertainment team get ten men crouched down in a line and he ran and dived over them VERRY DANGEROUS well after all my moaning we still had a good time ps don't buy any food at dallaman airport it cost me 28 pounds for 3 sandwiches 1 can of coke and 1 bottle of water."
