fantastic holiday for familes with children
"This was our first holiday to Turkey. On arrival we were a bit diappointed on how the rooms were quite small and not a lot of cupboard space and quite dated. You did have to pay for fans and air conditioning. In self catering apartment the fridge was a god send (higly recommend families to book an apartment rather than bed and breakfast as in august you go through vast amounts of drinks) which are quite expensive in the hotel. Disappinted that there was not enough sun beds and you had to get down to beds at 630 in the morning to reserve a bed and stay on the bed until after eight. Staff were very friendly (watch out 16+ young ladies as waiters loved the english females) Do not book the last day of your trip as total rip of, it was surposed to take the stress out of the last day(certainly did not, nearly 5 hours to get to destination, food crap, trip crap.) a stop at a rug making factory which we were not told about beware ) plus we got picked up at 730 am my advise is to stay at the hotel and have a relaxing last day and dont waste your money cost 130pnds for 3 of us.
Ive told the bad now the good...Our son was 14 and we thought this would be his last holiday with us..so not...he loved this holiday made plenty of friends and defintly wants to go back next year to meed them all again. This hotel is definatly brilliant for children of all ages, is the best atmoshphere in a hotel we have ever stayed at. Not the best hotel in the world but atmoshphere is second to none...We are booking for next year. (on a last note many people around the pool suffered with ear/throat infections as a trained nurse myself, please make sure yourself and children wear ear protectors when swimming in the pool)"

august 2010 first time to turkey
"After a very long hot transfer, we were met by very friendly helpful staff, nice room just what I had been previously promised ( in an email request for ground floor) beds were changed immediately on request they couldnt do enough for you. Food onsite is a little bit more expensive than other restuarants but worth it, very well cooked and so clean. No problems with ice in drinks, as the waiter told me " the ice not minging", waiters and all the staff here make the place what it is which in short is brilliant, I went with no male company and two teenagers and felt so safe, the banter is purely that harmless banter, so have an open friendly mind and you will have a ball, the onsite photographer is very good, if he takes your pic go have a look you will def purchase one for home, all in all a fab holiday and i am planning another trip in june 2011, so couldnt have been bad,...cos im picky... only critisms, were no tea making facilities in rooms, but coffee ok in restuarants, and the access to the pools could have been better and more sunbeds as they are all gone before 8am.... 9/10"

"a family of four first of all our room was awful too small the facilities in the room were poor if u on one side of the hotel it was very noisey at night till 3 oclock in the morning.u had too get up at 6 oclock in the morning to get a sunbed at the main pool luckly enough there was a relaxation pool which we spent all our time there the waiter ebo was very nice.as we werent at main pool the staff didnt want to know u thank god for ebo.The entertainment was poor and the same thing week after week. The reps from thomas cook were very distant i found that the waiters were taking over there jobs they should let them get on with it i would like to say claire a very nice girl BUT BECAUSE U COULDNT GET ROUND THE MAIN POOL WE COULDNT GET TO SEE THEM MUCH.We will never go back there ever again very disappoined thats the first holiday ive gone on and wanted to go home.Club atrim a terrible place."

Manyak! n Mrs Manyak LOL
"Absolutely brill. Wot more can we say. All staff friendly, catering, cleaning and hotel staff. Thomas Cook entertainment all day for the kids around pool, and in the evening at the Havana bar til 12 in evening. Then stroll across to Club Cuba where they will facilitate for the kiddies whilst they sleep and you can party the nite away. Room sufficient for two weeks (ya ain't staying forever afterall). If you want to 'knit pick' stop ere! Not every hol is going to be perfect,. A holiday it wot YOU make it. Everyone who has put Club Atrium down must be 'perfect' cos this is one hell of a hotel. We enjoyed every second. Whether you want a relaxing or loud hol. There's summat for everyone. Many non-residents (staying in other hotels) visit Club Atrium for the facilities and entertainment and the staff are all too happy to welcome all. They even have a shuttle service to pick non-residence up and drop you off whenever you want, how good is that, and just shows you how good the hotel is if people want to travel to visit the place. And to finalise 'Tamamlamak'. Hello to the boys, Carlos, Ozay, Joey, Emre and not forgetting Jane and Esfan wo have made it possible for everyone to enjoy their holiday."

Good and Bad
"Arrived early hours and received very warm welcome, was shown to our room. Was our first time in Turkey so had been looking forward to it for ages. Unfortunately after 3 days we had to move hotels due to not having enough space but that was ok,on morning of moving we went for breakfast and on returning to the room had found my gold bangle was missing, staff were great but unfortunatley the bangle didnt appear so this put a damper on it. Wont stop us returning though but next time just wont be taking anything valuable with me :$"

best in marmaris
"Our first time in marmaris and one of the best places in the world i have been to, The atrium was perfect for us we arrived at 5 pm a verry helpfull member of staff carried our bags up to the top floor as the lift was out of service but we knew about that before we traveled after our bags then he went back downstairs and got us a fan for our room i didnt mind paying for a fan and safe i booked a 3 star hotel in marmaris not the palm hotel dubia! Our room was directly above bar cuba and we had our balcony door open all night every night and we never had a problem with the music at all. The staff where awsome sex bomb is off his nut they where all good cant wait to go back cant go back till next year due to a new addition to the family."

Going back every year now!
"Loved every bit of it. We were made to feel very welcome up on arrival. Everything was clean & well presented. Staff were fantastic, Kids area was very impressive & safe. We met some lovely people & have decided to go back evey year!
When booking excursions use Ozzy (right across the street) he is very friendly & will always give you a good deal. Turkish bath (highly recomended) only £6, in the hotle it's £25!!
The food in the Havanna resturant is very good especially the salads, lasagne and fish & chips.
There is a HSBC atm straight outside which we found very useful in deed as we took a pre-paid travel card this year rather than tc's"

Apprehensive but turned out great
"I was a bit wary about going to Club Atrium as I had read quite a few mixed reviews. Upon arriving we were shown to our room, even thought it was early hours in the morning. The staff can not be faulted. They are polite and friendly and will help if they can. Jackie (Customer Care) was a god send. If she could help you she would, from getting you a sewing needle to phoning a chemist for advice for you. I took sunstroke whilst on holiday and she was very helpful to my partner. All the Bar and Waiting Staff are friendly, and we especially liked Ebo and Gingiz, they are really good lads. The rooms were basic and we did feel that a fridge and a kettle would have made life a bit easier, but we managed. The food at the Havana Restaurant cannot be faulted. We ate there every night, apart from 3 nights, and enjoyed every meal. The entertainment becomes a bit repetitive, but as it was near the end of the season you can't expect anything else and also we were there for 16 nights. The only downside we had was that the Cuba Bar was about 30 feet from our room and was on till 4 in the morning. Although the bar is sound proof, you still hear the music and the noise from people going back to their rooms. All in all it was a great holiday and we met many new friends. I would certainly go back if I were taking my grandchildren, as they would have a ball."

Don't believe everything that you read!
"We did... and were pleasantly surprised at how good the Club Atrium is.
Our self catering apartment was ideal for our needs and the air conditioning in the bedroom is an absolute must as temperatures during our stay reached 45 degrees in the shade.
The hotel and complex is clean and is as lively as you want it to be. We booked a quiet room that overlooked the street next to the apartment block and although there are two or three restaurants/bars on that street, all music was off by midnight and sleeping was never a problem. If you want late night and lively then there are plenty of opportunities within a one minute walk, this wasn't for us but it never disturbed us.
The pool was busy and in our first week there was an early start to secure sunbeds however this has changed by our second week and it was possible to get sunbeds at a much more reasonable hour.
The staff at the pool bar were friendly and in many ways added another dimension to the holiday. Never pestering, always attentive and always up for a laugh they were typical of the warm welcome offered to us by all the Turkish people we met.
Highlights for us. The two day Ephysus and Parmukelle trip - led by an excellent tour guide named Shukra we saw unbelievable sights and had a real view of real, rural Turkey (something that Marmaris certainly is not!). We booked through James and Sonny (next door to the 'Little Chef' restaurant) and we still cannot work out how anyone made a profit on the trip. Excellent value. The next highlight would be the Ibiza restaurant which is close to the Club Atrium. Musleem, Karim and Safir all made us very welcome and were more than happy to sit and chat the night away about life beyond tourism among other things. Also try Septembers restaurant (near the mini-golf which is also worth a try)as they too have good food at very reasonable prices. The kids club on site was also well used by our seven year old son and he enjoyed every minute of it. Well worth using if you want some peace...
There were some lowlights to the holiday but that had more to do with a small minority of the British tourists staying at the hotel rather than anything that the hotel did. We suffered from a bout of 'professional scousers' which, coming from Liverpool as we do, grated a bit as the negative image of Liverpudlians was certainly reinforced (we are not all like that!). Its important to recognise that minority is the key word as most people were having a great time and enjoying their family break. However, its a far cry from some of the reviews we have read and I guess its down to the luck of the draw as to who turns up while you are there. Marmaris market was also a big let down so perhaps choose to go to another market or run the gauntlet at the bazaar which is nowhere near as bad as it used to be!
In summary, two great weeks of relaxation, fun, good food and welcoming Turkish people. Oh and Efes beer.... Marvellous!"

atrium highly recommended
"we went on holiday on 20th july 2009 2 adults and 2 kids to club atrium. we had recently been to club julienne 4 yrs previous. julienne didnt even come close to the attitudes of the staff and cleaners. it was absolutely brilliant. we were able to go out and leave money. mobile fones, jewellery and any other valuables lying about and we didnt even use the safe in the room.everything was still in its place when we returned from a day out. the staff couldnt be any friendlier. they would have done anything to help anyone. the restaurant and bars and entertainment was great. cant wait to book for next year and go to club atrium for another 2 weeks cos we all had a great time. highly recommend this hotel to everyone. c u next year."
