3 Traveller reviews from Holiday Watchdog
"We stayed at the cem (pronounced gem) in July this year. We were a party of ten with an age range from four to forty something. The rooms were clean, and bright. The staff were extremely friendly especailly Mustaffa and Memmet. They were excellent fun, and done everything possible to make us have a brilliant holiday. They were up for a laugh all the tim even though they were working very very long hours.
The hotel is situated alongside a beatuiful canal, where my 11 year old spent a lot of time fishing.
The hotel does serve food through the day, where we had breakfast most days unless we were out on trips, this was very nice, and reasonably priced. The hotel puts on entertainment weekly, (turkish night). This was excellent fun, and the staff make sure that everyody gets involved and has a really good laugh.
The Cem is situated about 5 mins from the Marina which has lovely bars and restaurants, and about 15 mins from Long Beach, the really lively area. If you want to book trips may I recommend Alli. he is usually lazing around the beach somewhere pretending to be working hard. His trips are priced so cheaply it is unbelievable. Scuba Diving £10 including lunch, thats just one of many. If you do go and meet him say Hi from Yvonne and Bob.
I could go on forever writing about this, but Bob thinks people will just get bored reading it. If anybody needs any more information just ask as I love talking about it...."

"We booked this holiday at a last minute deal from Thomas cook.
Marmaris is a very lively, family friendly resort... but at night it is EXTREMELY noisy along the coast line. Cem aparthotel is less than a 5 minuite walk from the Marina area. This gives an advantage of a peaceful nights sleep compared to other hotels. We met a few familys from hotels along the coastline who were in 3 + 4* hotels with Tripple glazing to protect the sound, but it did not work, so very thankful we were located well.
AIR CONDITIONING IS A MUST!!!.... it is only £3 per night, but the best £3 we had spent in our lives as the temperatures exceed 40 degees.
The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. Request a Marina/pool view... the hotel has a lovely view(Picture 2) and at night has a front row View to the sky lazer show. However hotel rooms facing the other direction look onto a building with no light or view atall.
The hotel offers a tennis court and sauna facilites, a "mini" market, Bar, Snack bar, restaraunt, internet access.
The pool is small, But the hotel only has around 40 rooms so it doesnt get crowded.
The childrens pool is beyond PATHETIC... Could fit a few children if lucky. The main pool has an overall depth of 1.6m, so younger children need supervison.
No lift to higher levels... But only 3 floors.
Overall the Cem Aparthotel is a great family 2* hotel. Marmaris is cheaper than cheap, so time is rarely spend indoors when Boat Trips and other excursions last full days. The service Of staff was fantasic.
Coastline is cheaper for eating out than hotel.
DO NOT pay more than £10 for an ALL INCLUSIVE boat trip
One Euro for a green bus to anywhere in the marmaris resort.
I Think i gave too much information.. But we went with None at all... Hope this helps."

Just home from Cem
"I couldn`t find many reviews about these aparts before I went so just wanted to let people know they are lovely, quite basic 2rings,fridge & kettle but spacious. They are in a quiet residential area and look out over the canal and are just a short walk from the old town, bazzaar and marina. For those who like the club scene it is only 2min walk to Bar Street but for Long Beach it will take about 10-15min walk. There are however always plenty of taxis available. The aparts are clean and well maintained. It costs £3 per day for air con.( which is highly recommended at this time of year) and about £11 a wk for a safe. You will have to be careful at the pool/bar area as it is marble and very slippy when wet and the pool does not have a shallow end but there is a very small baby pool at the side. The staff are great and Mustafa who works in the bar is one of the hardest working guys I know and never complains. You can eat there aswell from snacks to full meals and the prices are reasonable. As with all aparts in Marmaris you will only be provided with 1 toilet roll and have to buy any more you need. They sell a few essentials at the aparts but a 5mins walk to the Tansas Supermarket is much better value and there is a baker round the corner for fresh crusty bread which cost about 15p.They have a web site [--] if you want more info"
