Not such a good time
"I have just come back from Sealight Resort. I am sorry to say that I was not so impressed. Buffet Restaurant busy and disorganised- food quality variable.
Lots of cats and kittens around outdoor buffet seating area being terrorisd by children- waiters and head waiter
seemed to be powerless in stopping this.
Enteriainment shows put on by the staff very poor quality.
Sun Lounge war most days with sun lounges being taken early in the morning and people not then using them until afterlunch.
No Adult only area- bars busy with children sceaming and running around. Some Bar stafff unfiendly and abrupt.

"Stopped at Sealight in June 2010.
Very good hotel. very clean and staff are all very friendly. Our room was super and cleaned everyday. Spa area and treatments very good.
Food good but excellent in the italian and Chinese restaurants.
Hotel is reached down a 'dirt track' a little bit isolated. But certainly a very good hotel. "

Lovely Hotel, Lovely Holiday
"We went to Sealight Hotel in June 2010. From the photograghs in the brochure the hotel looked enormous and quite impersonal but it was anything but impersonal. It was spotlessly clean and the staff were really nice & helpful. We had asked for a lower ground floor when booking (as my friend has a phobia about going in the elevator)but we had been put on the 8th floor. We asked them if we could be moved & even though the hotel was fully booked they managed to change us to a room on the 2nd floor without any fuss. Our Thomson rep whose name was Shebby was the best rep we had ever encountered, nothing was too much trouble, she was amazing. There are 4 al carte restaurants within the hotel which can be booked the day before at no extra charge, all have a fabulous see view. The food in them was OK although they have 2 sittings and if you book for the early sitting you were rushed to eat and move out in anticipation of the later sitting. The food in the main restaurant on the whole was good. They tended to cater more for German/Dutch tourists, but even though I am a vegetarian, I could always find something nice to eat. The only negative point is the entertainment, it was terrible. They have a wonderful outdoor amphitheatre which overlooks the ocean and every night the animation team put on the most awful, toe curling performances. Around the pool bar there was live entertainment most night which consisted of a few people playing instuments (rather badly) & singing (also rather badly. This was the only downside of the hotel but over all it is a fab hotel and I would highly recommend it for a nice restful holiday."

"If you are looking for a holiday that has just about everything this is it. Superb food great value and a quality relaxing time.
We found everything to be to our liking, from the siting of the hotel and its surroundings to the friendly and welcoming staff.
The hotel is kept spotless with room service every day, and something different to do every day.
You can have as quiet a time as you like or as noisy and entertaining time as you like.
The hotel is truly a Turkish five star hotel."

" we stayed at the sealight hotel in june for 1 week. we had a superb time. the staff were friendly and it is a great place for families. the entertainment team (animation team) were very good and kept us entertained throughout. they had activities going on through the day that u could join in. ie: belly dance lessons, aqua airobics and a kids club. games for the adults at the pool side and songs to join in with. At night they have a kids disco and then entertainment for the adults afterwards. different each nite. we were amazed. and then a disco that went on into the early hours but this was out of the way and couldnt be heard from the hotel itself so did not disturb anyone. the food was amazing and if u fancy a stroal ladies beach is just 10 mins walk away where there are more bars and shops. All the different bars and levels make the hotel a like a difrent place where ever you go. and it was great to go out on the sea from the private beach on the free pedelos and canoes. I will definately be saving up to go back next year. my daughter and wife loved it i think nearly as much as me!!!!!!"

this has been one of our best holidays ever
"yes i can tell you that we had one of the best holidays we have ever had. from start to finish. the staff could not do enough for us. the place was very clean and tidy. food was fantastic, the afternoon cakes in the garden room were to die for, we only went for a week so we did nothing but eat drink chat and relax, then eat and drink some more, we went to the italian, chinese, and seafood alacart nights, they were just the best. i could go on and on i havent even started on the fantastic sea view, wonderfull sunsets, and did i mention the cakes. i hope we get the chance to go back. if we do i think my daughters will be bringing lots of money to spend on the wednesday market in kusadasi, all they said on the way home is we should have bought more of these tops and bags. can we go back again please. if you have booked to go i just hope you have as good a time as we did.
hope this helps

4 a la cartes..1 turkish which was closed,1 fish with calamary to die for and sea bass.1 italian very nice, and 1 chinese (my fav)try the canton veal it comes on a sizzler plate..all the staff are very friendly and speak quite good english,
try and learn a few words of turkish it goes a long way, after all your in there country...
i went to the gym ( just to check it out )and all the equipment was working, yes there are a lot of russians in the hotel ...but whatever hotel you choose ..i bet they are full of russians as well...
this hotel will be in thomas cook . first choice ,and youtravel ,brouchers this year..as they want more english guests..
i spoke with the owner just before i left and he was telling me ,if you book before the 15 january 2009 you will get a 20 per cent discount, after that date the discount drops...so book early you wont be dissapointed...
we managed to get a red door room again this year, dont be afraid to ask for an upgrade ,if its available youll get it...dont forget if you want branded drinks you have to ask for them, otherwise they will give you local brands, also champagne is free ,as is your mini bar in your room ,

My family and I went on a one week vacat...
"My family and I went on a one week vacation to the Sea Light hotel in August 2008. This is a superb hotel and the staff are very friendly however I did find it difficult to understand the staff at times as alot of them did not speak English very well. The Hotel Manager was lovely and made it his business to get to know everyone. I have one or two negative comments to make about this hotel one of them is that they do not facilitate for customers who are only doing bed and breakfast, as we were the only guests who were doing bed and breakfast it was quite difficult to get drinks or cakes as the staff did not know how to deal with staff who were paying for items as most guests were all inclusive. Also when we came in at night I felt the staff were watching us at all times to ensure that all our drinks were been paid for.
The gym was not very good as alot of the equipment was broken and there was only one threadmill .
We had a turkish bath in the hotel on the first day of our holidays and would highly recommend this service. I also got to use the Hair Salon on a few occasions over the holidays and must say my Stylist was very professional and the French Manicure was great value.
The waiters by the pool were very friendly as well.
On the whole we thought the hotel was great, but would have preferred a hotel with a few more English speaking guests as most of the Sea Light hotels guests were Russian .

We have just returned from the Sea Light...
"We have just returned from the Sea Light Resort, and wow, what a lovely place!!! Clean, beautifully maintained, helpful and friendly staff, fabulous food all freshly prepared, from early morning to late at night, with many varied choices. As for the pastries, wow! We had 2 lovely rooms, bright, airy and cleaned to a high standard daily. The pools were very good, maintained to a high standard, and the animation team kept you entertained (if required) and there really was something for everyone. I cannot find fault with our holiday, and can't wait to go back there, which we will be doing!!! The views are stunning, especially the sunsets over the sea. I have no hesitation in giving this resort a 10/10. "

Hotel from first impression has the appe...
"Hotel from first impression has the appearance of a five star hotel , but in reality its service was that of a three star hotel.
Found reception quite unfriendly and unhelpful.
Spa is well worth a visit and the staff were very pleasant.
We stayed half board ,cause i personal couldnt stay in the resort the whole time.
Good resort for children.
Overall the hotel was very clean and pool were quite pleasant. Location was nice but a little out of the town."

Have just come back from one weeks holid...
"Have just come back from one weeks holiday at the Sealight Resort. Having spent lots of holidays in Sharm el Sheikh 5* hotels, I was ready to find fault with this one in Turkey. How wrong I was! The hotel was splendid with excellent, friendly service, food you would die for and a 24 hour bar (if you wanted it). The main restaurant was so clean and the food varied. Having all inclusive, I was a little bit concerned that the meals would become boring but every night they made an effort to do something a little different, from the barbeque sweet and sour chicken to the fish curry. Nothing was too much for the staff and their attentiveness was very much appreciated.
The pool area was excellent with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas for the shade. Every evening the staff would wash down the sunbeds ready for the next day. The water temperature was spot on and the food at the pool bar for snacks very tasty. Our room, although having twin beds, was on the 3rd floor and overlooked the pool with a great view of the sea too. The air conditioning in the room was very good and easy to work (for a non teckie like me). For the whole week, we really felt we didn't need to leave the hotel and only went into Kusadasi town for the weekly market and to go on a boat trip. Ladies Beach is about a 10 minute walk away which is a bit hilly but does you good after scoffing all that lovely food. The lift to the beach was still not operable but the buggy operated very regularly and if you did have to wait, there was always the beach bar to have a little snifter in.
The shops in the lobby were good, but a special mention should go to the jeweller there, Diva. I bought a beautiful set of 14 ct diamond rings which were hand made to my specifications and ready within 2 days at a great price. He also made another of my rings larger at no extra cost. If you're there, do visit the shop as the prices are extremely reasonable and nothing is too much trouble.
A great first visit to Turkey and would highly recommend this hotel/resort as living up to it's 5 star rating."

4-star but certainly not 5-star vip or elite
- New infrastructure
- A la carte restaurants
- Wireless internet all around
- Diversity food (small buffets for such a large hotel, mostly the same stuff all the time)
- Service restaurant (fries and pastaâs are prepared on a per user basis, huge waiting time)
- Service for drinks (not enough personnel)
- Available seats at bar/lobby (fight for your seat after 21:00h.)
- Available chairs at main pool (fight for your chair before 9:00h.)
- Opening hours restaurants (late breakfast at 10:00h.=almost no breakfast and they start breaking down the house at 10:00:00h. sharp, even with 100 people still having breakfast. Same for lunch or dinner)
- Isolation rooms (you can hear your neighbors quite well, we had a person snoring next to us)
- Ultra-all-in but you still have to pay for a lot of things (orange juice duhh??)
- You canât smoke outside on the balcony of the room or you get a warning (duhh??)
- No alcohol in the mini-bar (not even a small beer)
- Prices in the hotel-shops are a enormous (3.75 for cigarettes compared to 1.75 in the city)
- Language is an issue (they tell you they understand but actuallyâ¦)"
