"I stayed at ozcelik for 7 days. Well...the rooms were very small, in picture's they look so big. The good part was that it was clean, but in bathroom it was always water, because of the shower.
Anyway, MY BIG PROBLEM was in one night when I arrived to dinner at 9 p.m., the dinner ended at 9.30 pm. and...there was nothing left to eat...they could'n do anyting. They were very rude, they screamed at me...and still no dinner, and no eating in taht night. But my great satisfaction was on the last day, when they told me to pay fot minibar, and I sad No, 'cause I still didn't have my dinner. And after a long fight they finally said, ok, don't pay minibar....
I don't recomand Ozcelik, NO NO NO!!!! they have no idea how to make their clients feel good. Kusadasi is very nice, but no Ozcelik"

"Arrived early hours of the morning after flight delay. Booked a double room - allocated twin - no doubles available - hotel solution push beds together!. Upgraded following morning to junior suite with bath -twin rooms have shower only. Charged in Euros - heavy dent in spending money. Fortunately booked only B&B. Menu catered for Turkish and northen european - (OK I know we were in Turkey but a bit of toast to go with the eggs would have helped- haven't eaten any eggs since). Staff - apart from one smiley young man - generally disinterested in guests. Hotel apparerently renovated a few years ago - they missed out on the carpets and towels. Initially drawn by picture on web site of roof terrace dining area looking out over the marina and 'english' pub. Roof top terrace closed, were unable to ascertain why, ditto english pub. SAT TV is BBC/EURO news - only wanted to see occasional football game. Notice advises that no food/drink to be brought into hotel - will be removed if found! Smacks of a holiday camp- arriving one morning for breakfast, i.e. egg - was TOLD to sit at a specific table outside - I declined and feared I would be evicted! This hotel does not merit 4*. Location is good however, and if the hotel management considered providing entertainment/extended menus/greater customer care, this would be okay basic hotel."

"Stayed at the Ozecelik in June 2008. As the agents were Med Hotels looked on there Web site before we went and there discription and photos seemed quite good.
The rooms are acceptable with sea views and a small balcony .
The food is lined up in the passage between the reception and the restaurant by the toilets. Breakfast is ok as long as you like boiled eggs every day, Dont ask for a change ie omlete you will be told NO EXTRA.. Evening meals choice of main course TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT only one ( 1 ) vegetables stewed to death. Fruit if your lucky dried up apple or orange or melon.
Dont complain to the manager we did and his reply was, SO WHAT.
The Med Hotel Rep does not come to the hotel contrary to what Med Hotel state so I had to phone him to register my concerns and was told it was normal in Turkey when we explained that we had traveled through Turkey over the past 18 years he then changed his mind and stated that what did we expect from a BUDGET HOTEL. ( PROMOTED AS 4* ). No action taken so we had to phone him again for an official complaint form so he left it on the reception desk for all to see.Had to leave form for his collection did not get a copy. All the staff except for the young lady on reception are ignorant and miserable. If you want a hotel close to town with sea views its ok for ROOM ONLY just dont expectthe normal Turkish hospitality. We are still waiting for a reply to our letter to Med Hotels."

Hotel Ozcelik, Kusadasi

"Having been to Kusadasi before we decided to try a different hotel. we could not have chosen a better one. Having arrived late evening we were booked in within minutes by very friendly English speaking reception staff.
Our room was a twin room, too hot for a double. Although we have had bigger rooms this was more than adaquate. Please see photos of room and bathroom.
Rooms were made up every day and clean towles were available if you required them, we do try to use towles for two days before placing them under the sink to be changed. The shower worked extremely well. Beds are firm and very comfortable, with a sheet on the matress and a proper Turkish cover to sleep under. The balcony was big enough for the two chairs and was in the shade so provided the welcome coolness out of direct sunlight. Even the chamber maids were quiet so you did not get disturbed while they were in other rooms like in some hotels.

Breakfast was Turkish, well you are in Turkey, consisting of bread, cheese, salami, olives, honey, jam, eggs and water melon. Juice, tea and coffee.

One small down side is a notice thats asks you not to bring food and drink into the hotel, but as we travel with a kettle we just bought water from the shop opposite and carried it through reception in a bag, as it was much cheaper than the mini bar in the room.
As this hotel is on the water front it is a gentle stroll to the cenrum about 10 minutes and is on the flat no hills!!

As for the pool why bother when the beach is across the road.

Would we recommend this hotel, we have already booked again for September."

Would rush back to Kusadasi but not the Ozcelik!

"My friend and I arrived at about 2.30 in the morning to be told our room would not be ready until the following day so we were allocated a suite for the first night. We were given our room the following morning and it was fine, fairly basic but the maid came in every day and kept it nice and clean. Because of the semi-circular design of the building the balconies are not private, all overlook each other, so if you want a bit of privacy to sunbathe it's not ideal.

The hotel is in a good location, overlooking the marina and it was just a ten minute stroll to get to the livelier areas at night.

The dining area could do with some renovation work, it's a bit shabby and reminiscent of the canteens in holiday camps in the 1960's!!!

Most of the staff were friendly, my only complaint would be that on day five when my friend and I came downstairs into the reception area the receptionist confronted us to ask if we were staying at the hotel. She had seen us several times previously but made us feel like a pair of call girls! We had such a good time in Kusadasi though that we're going back at the end of August. Can't wait!!"

"We stayed there 3 nights from May 27. The hotel seems to have been well constructed with good room interiors, bathrooms with nice tiles and fixtures and a good location. The bad news is, the hotel also seems to have not been maintainted properly. The carpets in the room were stained and showing wear, bathroom floors are not wiped or cleaned, shower is not clean, taps and other fixtures seems 20 years old due to wear.
We stayed in a double with a decent view of the sea and marina. There is a balcony in every room with a couple of plastic chairs. The room had a functioning A/C which de-activates if the balcony door is opened, a TV and some wardrobe area. The size of the room is not bad and there is no noise problem.
There are 2 elevators and each floor has a shoe shine machine.
The hotel is right across the road from the boardwalk and sea, the marina is about a minute away. There is hairstylist on location and a convenience store right next door. So location and convenience is ideal.
The staff are friendly, I had to call the front desk to have my A/C worked on and some one came to the room immediately and fixed the problem. But one of our travel companions did not have the same luck.
Breakfast and Dinner is included in the room rates. Breakfast is not great but there is a lot of choice. No home made jams, only packaged stuff. Coffee bad and Tang for orange juice.
Dinner was great on 2 nights we ate there (1 night we ate out). 2/3 entrees, lot of meze and lot of deserts including some Turkish ones and cake etc. The pool area is a nice place to relax after a long day of sightseeing.
I will recommend this hotel if you do not care too much about the rooms."

well a experience.......

"When I booked the Ozcelik Hotel, I should have read more about this Hotel.
The Hotel rooms are small (so do not take your cat to swing about) but are very, very clean and have smart decor. Bring your coat hangers you only get 6 per room.
The bed's are rather hard and the Pillows... well do not try to fold them in half...or try to adjust them in any way
One tip bring your own towels... I did not and ended up buying my own.... as the towels are not good at all.... an experience for the first time I tried to get dry after a shower.
Also bring your hairdryer if you need to do any kind of styling
The rooms are supposed to have a mini bar … but empty and you are not supposed to bring food or drink into the hotel… there is a note in side the fridge warning you that all food or drink found in the room will be removed!
The safe in your room will only open if you pay 2Euro per day for the privilege.

I had booked on a half board basis and I wish I had not... the breakfast was typical for the country and acceptable... if you like Salad and olives for breakfast (which I don’t mind) but for a 4* hotel it was a joke.... the hotel was not fully booked for the first 2 days but after that quite a large number of guests... the Dinner at night was not great at all and no roof terrace restaurant at all.... saying that.... the salad was ok, and the desserts wonderful... but the main course was not for a 4* standard at all..... One choice only.... you either liked it or not.... you are better to just book B&B and have dinner at night in one of the many very good restaurants.
Beware of the traffic noise and overall thin walls (not recommended for passionate couples:) unless you want to entertain the rest of the hotel)
The pool is very small and cold.. Most of the day it is in the shade.
This is not a place for young children but ok for teenagers.
The sun terrace is quite windy... and due to the traffic not very relaxing... but acceptable…
There is only a small beach arcoss the road and not very good or clean..... you are better off taking the bus to "lady's beach" a short ride away.

Change your money in one of the many bank's in town... the exchange rate is much better than in the UK...... book your trips after getting a few quotes as you can get some great deals by shopping around.

The hotel staff is welcoming, friendly and very helpful….. overall this hotel only deserves a 3* maximum"

Perfect location!

"Having been to Kusadasi 4 times before, we wanted to try somewhere new (we usually stay in the Ladies beach area) The Ozcelik is located very close to the Marina, right accros from the town beach. the central area of town is just a short walk away.

the hotel itself is a 3.5 star. it is very clean (maids come every day to change sheets & towels) the rooms are a decent size with 2 single bed (that are easily pushed together to make a king size) wardrobe, tv (with satelite channels .. 2/3 english speaking channels) a large bathroom with a power shower.

every room has a balcony with a sea view, our view was of the Marina (see pictures) & it truely was beautiful.

We stayed on a bed & breakfast basis, the breakfast was your typical turkish style (toms, cucumbers, olives, honey, bread, yoghurt, cakes etc, as well as a selection of meats & cheeses)

the only downside to the hotel is the small swimming pool, & it is pretty much in the shade all day, there is a nice sun trap, where large bean bags are scattered, so you can sunbath without having to go to the beach across the road.

The hotel has its own turkish bath & hairdressers / barbers that are both reasonably priced.

1 thing the hotel is strict about, you cannot bring any food or drink from outside the hotel onto the premises, as they want you to use the on site bar / mini bar in your room."
