Could have been better
"I went there last month with my friend just to spend some fun time together away from home. Actually we didn't choose this hotel, we chose Dragos because we stayed there 2 years ago and we loved it but in a last moment they said that they don't have free rooms so we must stay in Wassermann or bye bye. We read some reviews and they were awful so we were a little bit scared but still we decided to go.
So, first impression was good - building looked quite okay. Orange walls, big pool, glass corridor. Our first disappointment was the room - it was so much smaller than the room in Dragos, although Dragos is *** as well. Bad view from the balcony - roofs, dirt. But later we found it quite useful because we could go to the balcony in our underwear and nobody saw us. Air conditioner was leaking, we called a master, he did something but it was still leaking afterwards, we told this in reception and they just laughed like it was nothing important. Ok, we tried to ignore that. Next thing - one morning there was no electricity and no water. We asked why is that, they just waved their hands and said everything will be okay before lunch, so before going to the beach we had to brush our teeth with our drinking water and pee in the dark. One day there was no hot water. We usually took showers before dinner so we had to go downstairs all dirty and salty from the sea water. But housekeeping was ok, they changed our sheets and towels and stuff..
Biggest minus was the food. We never knew if there will be something delicious, so sometimes we were starving. They had a weird white sauce which tasted like old sour cream and the worst was that they put this sauce nearly on everything. We felt its terrible smell all the time and it was so disgusting. Sometimes there was normal food and those were pretty lucky days for us. And by the way - they took some grass and leaves from nearby trees and put it on food as decorations. NO FRUIT!!! Sometimes there was a melon, one time - watermelon. Sometimes old, small oranges. And that's all.
Next - the bar. We are girls who like to drink while on holiday so we drank every day. Beers in afternoon, then something stronger after dinner. Beer was okay, but gin and tonic was so strange, it tasted like cheapest gin in my country but we found a solution, we squeezed lime juice for a better taste. One day they just said that they don't have gin anymore. Cmon, it's a hotel, u can't just run out of something! Good thing was that next day we took gin and it wasn't that bad anymore, maybe they bought something more expensive or i just got used to that terrible taste...
But in general - I wasnt there for a hotel. I was clubbing in the nights and clubs are awesome there, so my holidays weren't ruined at all. If you're all about food and service, don't go there but if u just want to have fun, then it's not anything terrifying about this place."

Worst hotel in my life
"This was the worst hotel in my entire life experience. Everything was a disaster. The service was bad, room was in cellar. Missing equipment in room. Food cheapest. "

Do NOT go to this hotel!
"Unfortunately the entire holiday at the wassermann turned into a complete disaster from beginning to end because my partner and i arrived at 2am after the coach driver got lost and couldn't find the hotel! Shortly after we arrived the man behind the desk tried to tell us he could not find a key to our room and simply said "10 minutes, 10 minutes" he then ran off and returned half an hour later! Obviously at this time in the morning our patience had run very thin. When he did eventually come back he handed us another key to another room as they couldn't find the key. This was ridiculous seeing as there was only us and one other couple arriving that night! When we were eventually taken to our room the door would not shut which resulted in us having to put a chair by it. The room was dirty and was a very uncomfortable night as we had no air conditioning. Fortunately we were transfered to the correct room in the morning which was of a better standard. The food for the hotel was perfectly acceptable for non fussy eaters but i do agree with comments with the food being exactly the same each day but for the cheapness of the holiday what can we expect. The coach driver who took us back to the airport arrived and hour and a half late which was extremelly worrying and the hotel staff did nothing to help. Fortunately it did arrive but i would certainly recommend not using Teletext holidays because this is more their fault than the hotels. The only other fault was that we had no Rep and we really needed one because of the problems we were having and the pure problem of the hotel staff not being able to speak english. All i can recommend is to not go to this hotel especially if you are english because there are much better hotels in the area which may be more expensive but will give you good holiday memories to go home with."

"We arrived approx 5 o'clock in the morning, the night porter kindly carried our luggage to the room, which was quite small. The next morning we asked if we could change rooms and they duly obliged, and carried our cases again! We found the staff to be polite and attentive and couldn't do enough for us and contrary to some other reviews wanted to try out the bit of English they had learnt. The food was a big let down, but as the holiday was quite cheap, we found that eating out now and then didn't break the bank. In May we hardly met any other British tourists, so the locals were friendly preferring British to the many other Europeans who visit the area. My only complaint would be the loud club music coming from the pool bar (being past the age of clubbing) it was a nuisance. It was a lovely holiday and a lot of the staff waved us off on our departure. Still waiting for the postcards to arrive back in the UK!!"

"The adminstrator was a really friendly boy :). We arrived after 9pm, and the dinner had ended, but we got them. That was really nice.
Rooms are small, and the first night was hard to endure, because it was very hot and we didn't know how to turn the air-condition on. But the following nights were ok, though there wasn't much air...
I think the food was good, maybe it wasn't different every day, but that wasn't disturbing me. Drinks were a little bit too sweet for me.
The staff was really friendly and smiley :D. I really enjoyed staying there. Mostly because of the staff. "

"staff were ok but did not want to know or deal with any problems or complaints from the english holiday makers. we thought that the hotel was more in favour for german and russian guests. for two weeks we had no room service, other than empty bins and clean towels every few days. no clean bed linen was supplied during the two weeks. staff were not bothered that every sun lounger and dinner table were being reserved by towels and plastic cups by the all , bar the british. there was no safety rules regulated at the pool or outside bar area,at any time, was impossible to relax at pool side due to stupidity of some guests playing havoc round pool. the food after the first few days became monotonous, and repeatative, being layed out round pool one hour before serving, with no coverings, so was always cold. the many restaurants provided comfort , hospitality and great hot food, ie, the edan, la paz, plus others worth a recommendation. also thank heavens for burger king,
the only great thing about this hotel area was the weather. "

"Arrived at this hotel early hours of the morning night porter was polite and helpful showing us to our room and carrying our cases up for us. Breakfast was repetitive theres only so many boiled eggs you can eat in a week!!! Evening meal was fine you could always find something to eat. Tried the buffet and snacks at lunch time and these were also fine. Staff were polite and friendly. Stephanie the rep was brilliant offering to get our 1st floor room changed for a ground floor one owing to my husbands limited mobility.
We spent the 1st 2 days lounging by the pool soaking up the sun thought we were in heaven!! Sadly, however, all good things must come to an end and they did half way through our 3rd day there a turkish dance troupe consisting of 20 kids and 10 adults descended upon us. From then onwards it was an absolute nightmare with running riot from 7 in the morning till at least 10 at night. They were left to their own devices slaming doors so hard im amazed the hotels got any doors left. The whole thing was a total joke. Gone were days of laying by the pool we headed off to the beach which was totally out of order but better than sharing a pool with 20 screaming kids. One boy cut his head open and had to have it stitched hardly surprising it was just an accident waiting to happen. The children were totally unsupervised by the pool bar and they were going behind it geting ice from the machine and throwing it everywhere my husband reported this to duty manager and a little later one of the adults in their party sat with them but not before helping herself to a couple of glasses of wine which were for the AI guests of which she was not one, not exactly a shining example. To be fair they left 3 hours before we did so i suppose i should be grateful for small mercies. The hotel is totally wrong to accept a booking of this nature as it is obvious its going to cause problems with the other guests.

"Just arrived home from Wassermann. Wonderful clean hotel, (rooms small, but fine) friendly staff, good food and Stephanie (the best rep I've had the pleasure of meeting) the font of local knowledge (trust everything she tells you) really makes your holiday easy.
One drawback though, hotel full of extremely rude Germans and even more so Russians. So book early or they get all the rooms and sunbeds. If more Brits were there it would have been fantastic (the staff thinks so too).

"My Husband Colin & myself Sheila & our friend Bill have just spent a one month June/July holiday in the resort of Kemer & stayed at the Wassermann hotel.
The management & staff Sacha, Mehmet & all I cannot praise enough for the attention they gave to any requests we made, we were dealt with professionally but also very friendly, nothing was too much trouble.
With clean rooms, free safe deposit, free air conditioning, free towels for the pool, though the food was not as good as our many of our previous hotels in Turkey the restaurants to eat out are many, the prices are very good & having tested many we can vouch for the quality being fit for royalty.
Though the resort is predominantly Russians & other nationalities we will certainly be trying to beat them to the booking for another holiday at this hotel & the Kemer resort.
Our Rep Stephanie was also on hand to give you any guidance you may need, originally from Doncaster but living in Kemer Turkey for many years it is worth taking in the experienced advice she offers, if you need any help at all you can be assured she will help you as she helped us & other guests & is also English speaking, she's 5star*****.
Our friend needed medical treatment & was taken to hospital for two days Stephanie helped enormously; being local she knew many at the hospital & made this experience in a foreign country much more acceptable for us.
Many thanks to all from your English guests hope to see you all again soon Sheila, Colin, & Bill."

"When we arrived at The Wasserman our room was quite small, however, the reception staff were more than happy to change this to a larger room the very next day.
Staff were extremely friendly, happy and obliging even though some spoke little English, we were able to liaise with them really well.
The hotel is very clean with new towels replaced daily if required, free pool towels, free safe deposit and air conditioning. It has a happy and relaxing atmosphere. There are also resident tortoises and a new puppy!!
The food although slightly monotonous always appeared to be fresh and we have no complaints for the 3* rating.
The Turkish Bath centre is also extremely good.
Stephanie, the Med Hotels representative is a source of all local knowledge and is both extremely helpful and friendly."
