10 Traveller reviews from Holiday Watchdog
"Spent 7 nights at Amara Wing with family. We enjoyed it a lot. Service and food were excellent. Lots to do at the hotel (sauna, private beach, jetski, boats, warm and cold pools, slides etc).
The beach is clean, water crystal clear. The sorrounding area is full of beautiful places to visit (i.e Phasilis, Olympos, Taurus Mountains by jeep, old Antalyia, Dudan falls etc).
The hotel contained mostly Germans and Russians who behaved well. Do note that we came before high season so it may be more cramped and noisy (and hot!!) during the summer.
Minor issues include only 1-2 english TV channels, no good maps of Antalya area in reception and the rooms are weak-tan brown in color and furnishing which i do not like."

Good, but for smokers...
Just came back a week ago. The room ("graden room") was great - really 5 stars. But the lobby and most public places are full of smokers.
All the "la carte" restaurants are smokers-only and low quality.
Also only one channel (BBC) is English-spoken on the TV. So, after dinner, you have nothing to do. Just to smell the heavy smoke at the lobby. Pitty."

"We have spent two weeks in june 2006 in Amara Wing in Kemer. Although we were warned that the hotel would be full with Russian people who should not know how to behave, we found out that none of that is true. Indeed, there were many Russian people, but they were also enjoying a holiday and we have not noticed any misbehaviour.
The hotel itself is excellent. Many choice in restaurants, Italian, French, Barbecue, Turkish, Grill bar. The thing that wasn't so nice that you had te reserve these hotels very early.
The room was clean, with all luxury. One thing we didn't like at the hotel was the loud evening entertainment. It wasn't possible to sit on the balcony in the evening because there was so much loud, extremely loud music. That lasted until 2 a.m. in the morning, and we really had to keep the door to the balcony closed. But apart from that, the buffet was also excellent, enormous choice, food availavle 24 hours a day, friendly staff. There is a big spa, wellness at the hotel.
When you arrive (we arrived late in the evening) you are first offered a glass of sparkling wine, and then you still have the opportunaty to eat a little something at the restaurant.
We never visit a hotel twice, but if we would, I would certainly come back."

Nice, but far from perfect
"The hotel offers a very nice all inclusive deal but also promises an exquisite experience that it does not supply. The main issue we had is inconsistency with the level of service. A few employees were very good (like the kids club operator) but many were not hospitable and some were even rude.
The reception people were particularly below average. Their English level is poor and they did not even try to solve simple problems like a baby towel that was taken from our room by mistake. One of the stuff (an overweight blonde) was even quite rude.
In contrast, The food in the dining room was very good (although the waiters at the dining room were in general inefficient and some rude). We tried two A la Carte restaurants (the Turkish and the Italian) and we were very pleased with the food and the service.
The rooms and the entire facility were very clean and generally well maintained. However, we and some other guests had problems with the key card locks of our rooms which worked once out of 10 times.
All in all we had a nice experience but it was coupled with irritating things which a really good hotel would not have."

nice all-inclusive resort, ideal with children
"We stayed at this hotel the last week of august. Our two children 4-5 year old enjoyed the stay very much.
As the youngest can not swim, we stayed a lot at the baby-pool, which is big enough. (there are 2).
A lot of different eat-possibilities, ice-cream in the afternoon etc...
Very good food in the buffet restaurant.
We had a room in the bungalow section, with two separate bedrooms, which was very good.
We are so pleased that we are going back next year, for 10 days, in july."

"I stayed in the hotel for 7 nights with my wife, the resort was great it was very relaxing and intimate, the view from the room (in the main building) includes the see on one side and the mountains on the other side. There are many options to dine through the day, the main restaurant, snack bar, Turkish kebab, Turkish pizza. At 12 o'clock at night there is a midnight snack which is perfect if you come back to the hotel at night, and from 2 AM till 7 AM there is free room service, we also been twice in the A la' cart restaurants were we had 5 course dinner lasting for 2 hours, so as you can understand you will never stay hungry there, all the soft and alcoholic drink are inclusive all the time. The minibar is filled up every day
The animation team is great, at night there is a show at 21:30, and later there is some activity in the main bar and at midnight the Disco starts. The beach is very clean and fun, the water is perfect.. the SPA is very impressive though the cost are not low 56EUR for a message of about an hour.
The service is on the level of a 5 star hotel
Kemer is located 25 min walk and is very nice, you don't need to have Turkish lira since EVERYBODY are accepting EUR and USD as well
Outside the hotel there are many travel agencies were one can choose from many activities, we did the jeep tour in the mountains and enjoyed it very much
Bottom line - Perfect vacation I would really recommend it for everyone"

Fantastic, Only Good Words To Report About the Hotel
"We spent four nights at the Amara Wings and only have good words to say. Rooms a good size, food varyied and of excellent quality. Staff always ready to answer questions. Celebrated my birthday there and received from the managment, champagne and a cake with candle to our room. Highly recommended."

perfect but not this time of the year
"we stayed there for 5 days,me my husband & our 7 month baby...i'll put my remarks as follow
1. the hotel is far away from the airport about 1.5 hour..which is good & bad
2. the other resturants were booked a week ago,so we had to eat in the main resturant the whole week..
3. the food is great, the deserts are waaaw...nothing to say about that.
4.rooms clean ,wide enough..
5.great spa,but it coasts a lot for massages (25eur)for half an hour.
6. amazing beach..so romantic.
7.most of the facilities are closed this time of the year..so u should really know from ur agent what is on & whats not.
8.Most of the staff are nice but not always..but i dont blame them..coz a lot of ppl there & its all for free so,,....
generally we loved the hotl, but thank god it was only a week..coz it would ve been boring if we stayed longer.

"Quite nice territory-beach-animation, good food, but from our room was stolen a lady's T-Shirt. Guest relation service wasn't able to resolve the problem.

"We just came back from one week's vacation at the Rixos Kemer Hotel in Kemer City centre near Antalya. The hotel is really high class , the rooms, the pools, the restaurants, the gardens, the health club...etc.- everything is absoluteley fantastic. The animation team keeps all the guests ( young or old) entertained and engaged in many activities during the day and night.
Kemer city centre is only 15 minutes easy walk with many nice shops, bars and beautiful Maraina.
We have 3 children( ages 3, 5 and 7) who were very busy all the day- hanks to the mini-club and the nice team there( specailly Sidda). They have many activities for the children-painting, water-polo, banana, baking, dancing shows ...etc. and once a week they take the children to the Dolphin show which is 5 minutes away.
The beach is small pebbles but very clear and clean water( they have a blue Flag).
The food is very good and always fresh .There are 5 different restaurants (a main buffet restaurant, Turkish restaurant, French Restaurant and Italian - and they all serve excellent food).
I think I could go on forever , but to summarize - you can not complain about anything( and we are fussy people ) . If you are looking for a quality holiday in a scenic and beautiful town and hotel, just head for the Rixos Kemer hotel."
