"This hotel was amazing! the best one i have ever stayed in! me and my boyfriend 20 and 21 went for a week in june and loved it, weather was great hotel was great, people, food, location everythin was great! own private beach with towels and beds eveyday, loadsa of pool space so never too crowded! really good entertainment team who involve you and make you feel welcome. nice canal with shops and restaurants/bars 100m to the right of this hotel. you can get a dolmus or boat cheap to marmaris every 1/2 hour. great excursions... mud bath etc. We loved this hotel that much we are goin back in september for my 21st birthday and can't wait! we didnt have a superior room however it was clean and always tidy cleaned regularly, we had an excellent view of the pool and sea which with side view i wasnt expecting. fruit and wine on arrival, free safe and air con in rooms. food is varied and the cakes are AMAZIN!! too many to choose from, only bad point was not knowin how to go about gettin seated in the restaurant etc you just have to help urself. the drinks you buy in the hotel at dinner or night get put on to a card which u have to pay at the end of the week which i didnt like because i had to keep holding money aside where i would rather of paid then and there. i would reccomend this hotel to anybody as it has alot to offer and is greattttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt "

"very dissapointed in this hotel, there was refurb work being carried out which got louder and more disruptive as the days went on.The room was very dark although it was very clean and well decorated,it was really minimal but we noticed as we checked out they were still adding drawers etc to the rooms.the dining room was also very dark and we spent alot of time searching for cutlery as tables never seemed to be relaid.it took 5 attempts to get our room safe looked at as it was broken when we arrived.food was good although it took ages for them to refill empty serving dishes.on a high note icmeler is a lovely place and the bay is beautiful.weather was great."

"Loved our stay at this hotel..location is excellent...rooms are very modern with large bathrooms and good showers..staff cant do enough for you and everyone is very friendly. The pool area and gardens are large with plenty of space for everyone and it has a private beach too.The only minus points are 1 the food which though cooked well and presented nicely doesnt really cater for the english..though that said we could always find something but the range was very limited and " the entertainment which was ok during the day (water polo..table tennis etc) at night was the usual hotel stuff ie mrs marti la perla..guy on organ etc, overall we enjoyed our stay & made many friends (staff) and if your not too fussy an eater and enjoy going out to drink in the evening would definately recommend this hotel."

"fantastic............... myself my partner and my 7 month old baby daughter stayed at the hotel Marrti and had a wonderful time!!!! i was a little nervous about taking a small babay to turkey but i have to say it was just wonderful a week wasnt long enough.
When we arrived at the Marti after a long night flight they greated us with bottles of water and rolls filled with fresh cheese and salad!!!!
our room was out this world. huge bed, flat screen tv at the end of the bed, marble floor, huge walk in shower, spot lights! we had up graded to the deluxe room would highly recomend very posh!!!
the food was second to none im very funny about eating abroad but i tried everything sooooo much to choose from.
The hotel itself was beautiful and very clean. all the staff were very kind and they loved our baby they fussed her all the time!
the pool again was wonderful just perfect for our baby.
We noticed a few people were half board but changed to all inc once they arrived as they found the drinks etc was VERY expensive.
the only thing i was a bit down about was the entertainment. there wasnt really any they had a kids disco and a few small bits going on but nothing really to sit and watch of an evening but still the surrondings and the bar were great! if yor taking a small baby there is a supermarket below the complex which do nappies and wipes and there is a small supermarket in the town a few mins away which do food jars but there not branded names. also we went to the market great fun but again if you have young ones go EARLY cause it gets very busy and hot.
we went to a fantastic shop which do great copys its called de j vu you must try it.
we are booking to go next year and taking our parents to cause we want to show them how fantastic it is xxxxx

Best Hotel In The World!

"We upgraded to the Marti La Perla following an hour in a '4* hotel' which was dirty and distgusting!

When we walked into the Marti La Perla our hopes for a great holiday were restored. The reception staff are friendly and helpful, as is the manager, who walks around the hotel day and night ensuring that the guests are happy with everything.

The rooms are beautifully decorated, and immaculate. They may be a tad small, but this is due to the amount of wardrobe and dressing table space for clothing, etc. The cleaners work hard and ensure everything is spotlessly clean. The beds are comfortable and clean.

The food is not english, but I enjoyed trying a different type of food to be honest. It's not fair to expect to go on holiday to a muslim country and have any type of pork served to you. Some restaurants outside do a full english though for £1 if you really want one! It was refreshing to see a hotel which didn't serve chips with every dinner! They have lovely beef and chicken dishes with lovely sauces, and the food isn't swimming in grease. It's so much healthier & tastes better anyway. They have a huge selection of salads and fruits on offer at all mealtimes, which was well presented.

There was a snack bar next to the entertainment part, which served burgers, chips, salad and pida (their pizza) during the afternoon, which was nice if you wanted a change.

The pool was clean, and the sunbed covers jet-washed every evening. Beds on the beach were free to use, as were the towels, of which there were always plenty of fresh ones ready to swap if yours was covered in sun tan lotion or wet from the pool! The pool area was washed down every evening. The water-slides keep kids occupied all day, and are fun for the adults too! The pool is VERY deep though, so I'd recommend a pair of arm bands or rubber ring for the kids, even if they can swim.

The hallway was huge, with lovely comfortable sofas to relax upon. This was best at afternoon-tea time, when various yummy cakes and biscuits were served! The tea and coffee machines were on 24-7, so even if you venture out and fancy a cuppa when you get back you can still have one!

Also, the 2 entrances have a security guard posted at all times. They act as a detterent to strangers, and ensure the kids don't wander off. They remember faces well and question people if they don't recognise them.

You were not hassled in the hotel or on the premises by people to buy things, which I have found to be a major let down in resorts I have stayed in, such as the Dominican Republic. The staff are always smiling and happy. The children's club is excellent, and they really make an effort with the kids. The entertainers make an effort to speak to everyone and get to know them all. There is not restriction on the amount of drinks you can order in one go, nor is there a huge queue as the all inclusive goes on til 1am. So much better than any other hotels. More relaxed and stress-free!

They really know how to look after their guests at the hotel, and the only reason it's not a 5* is because they have no indoor pool! There is a real feel-good factor about the hotel. If you want a nice relaxing holiday with friendly people on hand, clean facilities, and a beautiful location, look no further. The best hotel in the world!"

"I visited this hotel and i have to say it is the best hotel ever. I had the best holiday i have ever had. The hotel is very clean and the staff are excellent. They always went to help you and can't do enough for you.
The food was always fresh and there was always plenty to go round. The pool area was fantastic and you could always get a sunbed and parasol. The pool was a bit cold but not too offputting.
The main bar in the lobby is lovely and the oriental bar overlooking the sea has some lovely views even at night of around the bay.
If you are thinking of trvelling to this hotel i would definatley opt for All Inclusive as i found it was expensive to drink in the hotel. Of course if not there are an array of fab bars around icmeler centre which is just a five minute stroll along the beach front.
The market at Icmeler is brilliant too but i would go early as although it is under cover it is uphill so if you go later it gets hot you might find you don't see everything there is to see."

"We stayed in the Marti Resort Hotel late Sept early Oct 07 and had one of the most relaxing holidays ever. The room was clean and very spacious, even the cleaners made an effort with the finishing touches in the way they laid out your towels with little flowers.

The food in the restaurant was excellent though I did hear some people complain as they wanted to eat just the same as they did at home. We always found an excellent choice, the waiters and bar staff were extremely friendly.

The entertainment team were on the go from early morning until late at night and were always happy.

If you did not want to drink in the hotel at night there were many bars very close to the hotel and all were very entertaining. I would most definitely go back. Reading some of the other reports I did wonder if they were really in the same hotel or maybe we were just lucky with the room we had, though we have now been twice and were more than happy on both occasions.

"Rather than a hotel the Marti is a resort with a number of pools and bars. The hotel was very comfortable, clean, and friendly.

The staff are very polite and helpful. The beach is 3 metres from the hotel boundary. The beach and sea are very clean.

Plenty to do including almost any water sport you can mention.

The food is buffet style with a wide variety available.

Overall: Hotel 9/10 (rooms are ready for decorating)
Food: 10/10 - always fresh and plenty.
Local area: 10/10 - good market, local stalls / shops, beach, bars etc.

Marmaris is a short ride on a very frequent small bus which costs 1.75 lira irrespective how far you travel. You can easily walk into Icmeler.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone, any age group - we could not find fault & are already looking to rebook for 2008!"

The pools were clean and the indoor pools were great to relax in. the Turkish bath was amazing and I felt so refreshed afterwards. I certainly didn’t want to come home

The weather was so hot and I got the best tan. The doctor was also great and so was the hairdresser and so forth.

There was a wide range of activities and the shows at night had me in stitches. The waiters were superb and loved us.

The best holiday ever and would definitely come back again. 5*

"Having read some negative comments about this hotel I cannot believe they stayed at the same hotel as we did. The place was spotless with friendly helpful staff. The food was superb with a wide variety of tastes catered for. The hotel has both a pool and a private beach and is very cosmopolitan with holiday makers from all over. The entertainment staff do an excellent job of looking after things and we cannot wait to book our trip there again next year."
