"This as the worst holiday ever, Mr Kurt Junior is totally obnoxious, I received an electric shock from the cooker (if that's what you can call it) and was told I was using too much electric and then spent two days in a Turkish hospital after swimming in the pool. We asked to be moved as we were right by the bar and were told no, Mr Kurt is just that curt, rude and shows no compassion and is interested in nothing more than how much money he can get of you with his over inflated prices. We have been to Turkey for over 12 years and this is not a good reflection of the Turkish people who are usually very friendly and kind."

"Hi there just spent a week at the kurt with my famaily & found the apartments to be clean & tidy & the staff very helpful, there was a i mixed nationality with a lot of dutch couples there, the rest where british, which to famailys were from newcastle who liked to be heard round the pool by shouting at there children constantly, some people left the hotel just to get some peace & quiet i think the names of those poor children will be etched in to my brain for a long time am glad we where only there for a week to listen to there shouting. There was plenty of places to eat, the venice & the friar tuck where great, but one place not to eat is the 3 bells absolute awful how people eat there i will never know. i would recommend going on a boat trip well worth the money, "

"booked to go to the hotel then read the reviews, althou alot of the reviews were really bad i wasnt too worried as my husband is turkish and you would think that they would look after there own! WRONG! They treated us like we were nothing - was given the basement room with no view, no sunlight, when we asked to move we were told they were full but then atleast 7 more families were booked in the next few days, after that we spent the rest of the holiday at the beach or using another hotels facilities. we were never welcomed in, asked how we were or even a hello. the bosses son asked us if we wanted any trips organised, we explained to him that we would let him know, due to us knowing people in the area we went to book a trip with someone else, when the bus arrived at our hotel to take us on the trip the bosses son seen and from that day he ignored us. Our rooms were cleaned 3 times in the 2 weeks we stayed there and our towels/sheets were changed twice in 2 weeks. we asked the boss and cleaners why our room wasnt being cleaned and they said they were busy so did not make it to our room. i think its disgusting if you are busy and not able to clean every room, employ another cleaner. i will never go there again, and i advice people to read the reviews and listen to what the majority of people are saying!!! i wish i had!!!! "Apartments are clean although basic, Do not place a baby in the cots supplied they are a health and safety risk! There were'nt any evenings of entertainment because customers wanted to eat and drink elsewhere. Mr Kurt Senior is a very nice man however his son (aged approx 40) is certainly not blessed with the same personality. He is very greedy, over charges and hopes you won't notice. He is arrogant and does little to help you unless you flash wads of cash at him. The chlorine in the pool isn't measured and as a consequence a lot of ladies with blonde hair turned green whilst swimming. The food is nice and there is a variety on offer. Great crowd of english people and we really enjoyed the company. (especially when Andrew dressed up as a woman)The turkish customers do get a great deal of priority over the english. My advice change the managment and go on a customer service course. "

"Just got back from the holiday from h***. I travelled with my husband and two kids aged 15 and 6 yrs.We were initialy booked in at the bahar apartments. we landed at 6 am and were kicked out of the apartments at 9am following 2hrs sleep.we were told the holiday company had double booked our room, however there friend had a room available at the kurt apartments. we later found out these were run by relatives. We were meet by mr Kurt junr and offered possibly 10 days accomodation 3 days in the roof apartment and 7 days in a poolside apartment. We had no choice but to stay as had no accomodation He charged us £450 cash and would not accept card, so we had to pay again for the holiday and more than we had originaly paid. we were put in the roof apartment (the sweat box), the curtains were hanging off the wall and ripped there was no shower curtain at all and soaked the tiled floor were my son aged 6 slipped and hurt himself, the balcony was a concrete walled box you couldnt hardly move in with a large dodgey fan from the air con unit, which blew hot air so you couldnt sit out side. WE had no clean towel for 3 days. After 3 days we were moved as promised to a much better apartment poolside on ground floor, this was modern and more spacious, however i had 2 electric shocks from the electric cooker appliance. We were only in our niece apartment 2 nights when i was told by Kurt Jnr he was moving us again. I had a argument over this and said this was not agreed!! he stood and laughed at me and told me i had to move 4 times. We were not the only ones this happened to people who were originaly booked there were moved around as well. If you go here dont run up a bar bill as they never get it right and it is always more than its supposed to be, pay as you go is my advice, and dont book the fishing trip as its supposed to be a private trip with mr Kurt senior but his son books you on a normal fishing trip and pockets the money you can get it cheaper off the touts. I found Mr Kurt junior miserable, dishonest, pushy and very rude We gave up after 9 days paid more money and moved nearer the beach to the private hotel and were treated much better. My advise is dont go there if you want a stree free rlaxing holiday. "

"Just got back from the Kurt apartments having never been to Turkey before and loved it so much we've already booked again for October! On arrival we were shown to a top floor apartment, this was a bit of a surprise as Mr Kurt Jnr had already told me in an email we would be ground floor. We were pleased initially, then totally gutted when faced with one of two apartments (funnily enough never seen or mentioned in the website) set in the roof with a half-sized balcony which only my husband could see over as it was solid concrete and around 5 foot tall! A dodgy looking air conditioning unit also took up the limited space and when switched on blew the boiling air straight at you. I spoke to Mr Kurt and he promised to move us as soon as a ground floor apartment became available. I didn't hold out much hope to be honest, but he was true to his word and we were moved after a few days in the sweat box! The next apartment was so much better than the first, just as described and we were really pleased with it.Lovely large balcony, nice and clean too. The cleaners worked really hard and were very friendly and kind, especially to the children. Mr Kurt senior is a lovely man as well. We booked a boat trip as he told us he had a boat but ended up on some other random boat arranged by his son. Not great for kids, the boat sat in the marina for around 1 1/2 hours while they crammed as many people on as possible. Very boring, although the staff were friendly, the BBQ lunch was good and diving off the boat was great. As for getting hassled to eat at the restaurant, they didn't ask us once! We did choose to have a meal there on a couple of occasions but never felt pressured into it. Bar staff were great, really friendly (Mustafa and Tommy), Mrs Kurt seemed a bit miserable but everyone was very welcoming. Location was in a nice quieter area of the old part of Icmeler, but loads of resaurants and shops just round the corner. Sylvias was excellent, we ate there 3 times, great value, fantastic staff and good atmosphere. The ottaman casserole is incredible! Also had some great food at Ozzy's with again lovely friendly staff.Other good ones were My Way, Deja Vu and Cubana. Turkish night at Kurt was a very good event as well, loads of dancers, great fun and again a good atmosphere. In fact we didn't find a bad restaurant or rude Turk the entire fortnight. The only thing I would say is there's limited space around the pool in July when fully booked, people seemed to be putting their towels out at 4am then not even using the beds until mid afternoon - quite annoying. However, we went to the beach most days as it is so gorgeous and just returned for the last couple of hours round the pool (which was very clean, although 6ft deep in shallowest area). All in all the Kurt apartments were very good value, clean, spacious, and in attractive surroundings. Can't wait to return!"
