126 Traveller reviews from Holiday Watchdog
Never again will my family go back there. This is a perverts paradise. Beasts
"We have been going to turkey for years,to mar iris ,then we went to Julian forest,we met these so called Holiday makers, and there family, the reviews are correct this is a family from hell,no kidding, the fat one,he was eying up all the girls,I mean young girls, and he thought he owned the place, and his wife,or the thing that was with him, common as muck, and cheap tacky little tramp, very abusive, degrading for a woman, there again, she wasn't a woman, she flirted with every Turkish waiter and anything in trousers, but what do you expect, this crowd came from Clyde bank and they were just liars and two faced, she slagged everyone she met, last year at her wedding, her and her fat beastly man slagged off another bride who renewed her vows, this couple were from fife they were really nice, and she would talk to them, then slag them off,she even slagged the daughter off calling her a fat bimbo, they are not nice people,so beware don't get involved with this lot they are degrading, they stay in 2nd avenue Clyde bank. You can't miss them, she is covered in tattoos and cheap gold, and he is fat and ugly, and even looks like a beast. Beware"

Scum trash from second avenue
"Ruined our Holiday. What a bunch of needs. No one wants to be around this lot, we have just asked our rep to get moved,we will never come back here because of this McKenzie trash"

"Me and my wife went to this so called 4 star plus,we took our 3 kids,9'and 6 and 3??? Never ever again,we went last year for a week, just two of us then, and it was ruined by a family from Clyde bank they thought they owned the place, she was tattooed and fake gold and he was a fat loud mouth and drink and abuse, and there so called kids. We would say McKenzie ,so we came again this year and yes they are back,so we moved out of Julian forest at our own expense,no one can stand this crowd, but they take over, I am ashamed to be Scottish because of this strange dolly mixture family, the owner of the complex should stop this type of trash, and everybody would be happy,so next year we will be going in August. The place looks nice, but the clientele is trash, especially the needs from second ave Clyde bank. Hope you never get your Holiday ruined by the fat mouthed Mormons "

"Got back from Julian Forest 29th August.
We went in a group of 30, witch included of 21teenagers (16-19) 7 adults, a 11year old and 2year old.
althrough only 9of us stayed at Julian Forest. As it as our 10th time to Icmeler, we know the place quite well, and the fact I am half Turkish, and my daughter lives here, we have stayed practically everywhere.
Julian Forest had to be the best stay ever. Its quite far into the village, and its the last hotel, its about a 15-20min walk to be beach, but there are dolmus's outside, and that means you don't hear the nightlife, even through the music shts off at midnight, by law.
as the teenager's would get in from the clubs around 6-7am! the night managment staff were so kind and respectfull to them, not kicking off because most of them forgot there keys. Sometimes they would chat with them for hours, and even jump in the pool!
The staff were fantastic, spesserly the waiters, entertainment team and night man(GORGEOUS!) was alwas so helpfull and polite, and would even sit with you. The maids are great too, always say hello and are so kind :) - WARNING: if its 3pm and you'r still sleeping, and had a VERY HEAVY night the night before, the maid(tall, skinny, marie?) WILL, WILL, WILL wake you up! ahaha, but its funny, and if you get krankie like me, she will whip out a bunch of flowers and a bottle of water.
overall the hotel is FANTASTIC, and is worth what you pay, probbery worth more! the only downer I would say, is that they play the same two songs everyday day at 1am!
the sides are on 3/4 times a day, for at least a hour/hour-half, they need to be on more.
as always I will be back in Icmeler next year(4/5times a year for 10years) and would deffinatly try and book for the Julian forrest.
I LOVE ALL STAFF!!!! :) :)"

The best hotel
"This has to be the best hotel I have ever stayed in, We were booked into the Sun Apartments in Icmeler but the hotel decided to close early and we were transfered to the Julian Forest, I would like to thank the owners of the Sun Apartments for closing early and allowing me to experience this beautiful and freindly hotel as I looked over the Sun Apartments and it looked no where near as good as the Julian Forest so thanks guys. Ok why is the Julian Forest so great, for a start we have the rooms which are roomy, clean and best of all quiet, the maid service is absolutely brilliant we were left a rose by the cleaners (what other hotel do you know where you get gifts off the cleaners), the manager was freindly and could not do enough for you, the staff serve you with smiles and a freindliness I have not seen in any other resort but not so much as to make it feel uncomfortable. The entertainment was good even though it was the end of season when we were there and there was only a handful of people, this did not stop them trying their best to entertain. If you enjoy you T.V of an evening there is even a channel which shows English movies all night. The drinks in the bar can be pretty pricey but then you are on holiday, if you want cheap drinks get yourself into Icmeler or stay at home, simple. Icmeler itself is a pretty place and much prettier than Marmaris although a visit to Marmaris is recommended for the covered market alone, there are plenty of places to eat in Icmeler if you feel the flexidine option provided by Julian Forest is not for you, we dined out more often than not, the Dolmus will take you to Icmeler for 1 Lira (about 50P) and will take you to the Marmaris Dolmus (you do not pay on the first Dolmus but pay 2 lira on the second)if you are going to Marmaris. The view from the room was breathtaking to say the least. The pool is clean if cold (we were there in October) so I did not go in (coward). Ther entertainment at night is worth a look even if it just to see Nico dancing this boy is a nutter and will keep you entertained all by himself. Ok my book is almost over, I can not recommend this hotel enough, whatever you read in these reviews cannot do it justice, I enjoyed it so much I have already booked in for 2 weeks in July 2010, if you are booked in then see you there."

"just back from julian forest and have booked to go back next year we have 4 boys from 4to17 they just love it.The entertainment was first class and so was the staff, the kids club was brill you knew they were save. The manager is very nice no matter what you ask for he does his best.you have everything at your door no need to go to the town unless you want to do some shopping for clothes.ANY ONE THAT DOES NOT LIKE JULIAN FOREST NEEDS THERE HEAD LOOK AT.we all went on a boat trip it cost us £50 pounds for the 6 of us and that was your breakfast and dinner and all your drinks, it was a great day out. "we have just returned from a one week holiday in julian forest. Cannot speak highly enough of these apartments,a little bit out of the way but the dolmus bus was usually outside and only cost one lira each. Rooms were very clean and all the staff were very friendly. We were made to feel very welcome. We did not go for the flexi dine as we wanted to try different places to eat in Icmeler our favourite was the Champagne restaurant,we would recommend here to everybody as the food was great and as we Irish say the crack was mighty!!All the family really look forward to returning next year as we were sorry to have to go home after one week. Many thanks to all the staff of Julian Forest for a wonderful holiday in Turkey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"We have just returned from having a wonderful holiday at the Julian Forest Apartments. The apartments were immaculate and the staff are very helpful. It is in a lovely stting in the forest. You can get a dolmus outside the hotel for 1 Lira that will take you into Ichmeler. The turkish bath at the hotel is a must, nice and relaxing. The entertainment guys were so funny you had no choice but to join in the fun. My only gripe about the place was the music around the pool was to loud so please please turn it down boys as people do not like it !!!!!!!!!!! Would definetly go back. "

Excellent, Superb Hotel, Staff & Food
"EXCELLENT SUPERB HOTEL. I would like to COMMEND & PRAISE ALL the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Having travelled to many countries & hotels around the world the "Julian Forest" is definitely TOP of the list!!! The Thomas Cook representative did confirm at the time of booking many people return and I will too! The Turkish Bath is a must, we wanted to bring them home with us they were fantastic. Next time I visit for longer then just one week, I will without a doubt have more then just one Turkish Bath.
So to all the new visitors to the Julian Forest, rest assured you have made the "BEST" choice. The Julian Forest Hotel is Fantastic and the Turkish People are LOVELY. "
