great holiday at the arya!!
"As soon as we arrived off the coach our luggage was taken to our rooms and we didnt have to do anything. Even though we thought the apartments wernt amazing when we first arrived they were good enough to sleep in and were clean and had good storage space. They were basic but nice.
The staff were very friendly especially Martin-the receptionist who always seemed to be working!!-, Cash, Abdul, Alam, Musafa and the restaurant staff. They would sit and talk to you for ages and you can find out some usefull information and free drinks. lol.
The pool was always clean and was a decent enough size when there arn't too many lilos in there. The prices were cheap in the restaurant and the cocktails nice.
I am wanting to go back next year because the weather was so nice and the people were the kindest i have ever met on a holiday abroad. great holiday!!"

"Just got back after 2 weeks in the Arya apartments and loved it! The apartments themselves were quite small with little storage for 5 people, but we only used it to sleep in so it was more than adequate. The apartments are central to everything, so not far to crawl home. If you are shy and retiring then this may not be the place for you as the resort is very lively and keeps going until at least 3am.
The pool and bar area is kept lovely and clean and fully manned until the small hours so you can always get a drink. Thank you Ali, Sedat and Hussain for keeping us watered and entertained!
The restaurant serves excellent food, except on Turkish BBQ night when they serve you once and pack up, so don't go hungry! Or order from the normal menu. It is a great night though as they have break dancers, a belly dancer, and traditional turkish dancing. A warning about the raffle - the prizes are not there you have to go to the gold centre to collect it, so if you don't want to waste a day of your holiday then save your money and give a big tip to the dancers!
The apartments have the beds and towels changed every other day and Martin on reception will do anything for you if it goes wrong. Thank you Martin you work very hard with little thanks.
All in all a great holiday. The weather is excellent and the people are exceptionally welcoming and hard working. See you all soon!! x"

"Well where do I start!
I stayed there last year and feel I have to leave a review to warn others. Myself and my friend both 20 year old were expecting it to be a good holiday. I was in tears after 2 days due to lack of sleep and the conditions in the room being so bad.
We were on the ground floor of the Hotel and it was dark, tiny and dirty.
1. Room was tiny, door didnt lock
2. Room smelled disgusting
3. No bin or fridge
4. Noisy next to the bar playing music till 6am
5. Could hear people upstairs doing the toilet
6. Not enough cupboard space
7. Table and chairs on tiny balcony were dirty and the view was disgusting
8. Expensive bar/restaurant and when you didn't go to their restaurant they would not talk to you
9. Staff sat outside shouting/singing till 7am
10. Asked to move rooms and was refused
11. Sheets weren't changed
12. Rat running about the pool
I do not understand why people review this as a nice hotel. I wouldn't even recommend this to my worst enemy!!"

Great time at Ayra
"We stayed at the Arya for one week this may and have just returned from a lovely holiday. When ariving at the we were dissapointed at the size of the rooms as they are quite tiny, we stayed in the hotel ( the apartments are a good size)> But, I can honestly say the rooms are cleaned each day fresh towels each day and sheets were changed every other day. We could not fault the cleanliness. The food was excellent, the pool area spotless and very clean, however the poolside bar food was quite expensive so stay in the main restaurant. The staff are the friendliest we have ever come across, especially Alam and Cash and lads in the restaurant/bar. Recomend the full day boattrip to the five bays but go with Roy from Baba Hotel as he has the best boat and food. Highly recommended. If you can look past the small rooms you will have a great time"

Loved my stay in Arya!
"The Arya Apart Hotel was fabulous it was clean and had all the amenities for a brilliant holiday. There was a Turkish Bath on site there was a restaurant out back and a pool bar which doubled as a cafe during the day. I would recommend this complex to anyone looking a lively holiday... the location is the best 5 minutes from the beach in one direction and 5 minutes from 'Bar Street' and the shops in the other direction. I am also not a big fan of beaches in general but I just loved the beach in Gumbet it was clean and had a DJ and all sorts of bars and Turkish people are so nice and friendly. I am booking Turkey for summer 2006 and will be staying in Arya...."

"Just back after a week. Accomodation basic, bins lifted everyday but bathroom never cleaned or floors swept or mopped. Beds were never made. Been to other apts in Gumbet and the Ayra would not come up to their standards of cleanliness. The apts are centrally located and the bar staff very friendly."

"Arya hotel is an excellent pace to go i have just came back from there and already looking to go again. It has everything you want a swimming pool 1 minute walk fron the beach and 5 minute walk from the local shops. I have made so many friends there and you can tell some poeple who are staying there have been so many times before. I'd like to thank Frosty, Ali, Sedat, Kesh, David, Ahmed and many more for making my holiday the best and a special thanks to Bayram for the very relaxing Turkish Bath. I can't wait to go again."

very poor apartments/service
"nice location but the rooms are very very dirty ,we had to clean it our
the towels and sheets were not clean on arrival, and when they were changed they were still dirty with stains on. toilet roll is not included in apartments you have to buy your own!the receptionist is barely at the reception area when needed. the safety of your belongings was poor. the swimming pool area is very dangerous.they dont know how to run the site . it is very unorganized.i love gumbet and after all the 15 years ive been going ive never stayed in such a dirty place. The staff were not at all friendly or helpful , we booked for ten nights but checked out after eight nights it ruined our holiday. Could do with a restructure of employes
"Hi just got back from this b&b, had 10 days here, the place is run by a father and two sons, the father is really nice and a gentleman, the sons ok but with hidden adgenders, (making money behind his back i think ) on arrival we were given an option to perchase safe, for £20 which we had, the safe was in reception and needed two keys to open, (where other people can see whats going in there ) we then got offered air conditioning for £40 which we didn't have, we then got offered a room upgrade to an appartment for £90 sterling NOT tl , which is rediculous, we had not even seen the room, we refused, we were shown to our room, it was small but ok for bed and breakfeast, we then noticed the bathroom door frame was leaning against the wall, we got one of the sons up to show him this, mainly for him to see that we had not done it and he started opening all the rooms showing us other rooms ? ( spat his dummy comes to mind ) anyway we declined and they had the door fixed, well screwed rouflly, there are no tv's in the hotel, had food in the evening was really nice restraunt staff really nice food nice as well, had breakfast next mornning, option turkish or english, we had english which was nice, next morning went down for breakfast, when the cheff explained english breakfast was 4 TL, which we said ok no problem, the son come over and said it was 8 TL we had breakfast went to pay and the other son wanted to charge for coffe on top, this was the last straw for us, we did not spend another penny at this b&b, which is a shame as it is a nice b&b with nice employees, accept the two sons, good location, nice pool area, could do with a good clean throughout the hotel, change of carpets throughout, would not stay at this hotel again as there are places like baba hotel which is the same price and right on the front,
October for 10 days. "
