A seafront promenade curves around the picturesque beach in the town, and low-rise whitewashed building extend back into the rolling hills behind Gumbet. Curry houses, Italian pizzerias, and fast food joints make regular appearances in the town, but there are also many Turkish kebab stalls and other restaurants serving traditional Mediterranean fare. The nightlife is easy to find here, with the majority of bars and clubs found on the conveniently named ‘Bar Street,’ so visitors have little chance of missing the action.
