What an amazing place!!
"As a younger couple we stayed in Hotel Oykun for 2 weeks and we found it fantastic!! it is in such a idealic spot, as you can walk down to the beach and calis front, you can get a water taxi to fethiye and its just a bus ride from the more lively ouludinez!
we found the hotel to be spotless, lovely people and staff, lovely food just perfect! we will no doubt be going back!
the cleaners come everyday, and clean every inch of your room. the veiws from the balcony's are lovely and we found ourselves some nights just sitting out, watching the sun set onto the beach from our hotel room balcony!
if you are considering this hotel, please please please go, you will have the best time of your life, it is so perfect!! we wanted to stay for a month!!!"

For once a hotel paradise.
"Other well known travel review sites drool over this hotel and therefore the choice to stay here was made up on those comments.
The hotel is spotlessly clear due to the hard working maids, maintenance, grounds staff who are the unsung heroes of the hotel. Our bedding and towels were changed every second day by a charming, polite and considerate young lady who always had a smile on her face. Even when we couldn't find beds around the pool the staff found two for my wife and I within minutes.
The accommodation can be either S/C, or B&B or you can upgrade to 5 or 7 days half board at very competitive prices. The breakfasts are mainly omelettes, pancakes, boiled eggs etc that are cooked while you wait and based around an interesting accompaniment of fresh salad veg, meats and cheeses.
We never stayed for dinner but the 2 occasions when we had a snack lunch they were well presented and tasty. As I mentioned, the backroom staff contribute greatly to the running of this hotel as do the excellent Turkish bath and spa staff.
The bar at night is busy and although Freddie and Veli are both effective and efficient they sometimes have a bit of a sulk and blow hot and cold. Nevertheless they know their jobs well. Although Goldie is a fount of information and knowledge we rarely needed her services but she is pleasant girl.
The hotel mainly caters for the 40's and above age group but occasionally young families stay and this usually poses the problems with towel laying early mornings. Our first week when most guests were 40plus, it was easy to find a bed at 8 or even 9am, but the second week I saw men laying down towels at 6am onwards.
The location of the hotel is second to none being 5 minutes from the Prom and its eateries and even less from the Strip with shops, bars and smaller restaurants.
Most guests appear to be long term guests either visiting for the umpteenth time or spending weeks there (1 lady was allegedly on her 9th week while we were there!)
Perhaps it is this familiarity that had bred the ritualistic Mockney accents from Turkish waiters with ther 'orwite, mate!'to the extent that it began to grate after a few days. There is a little North/South divide present as guests don't mingle as well as they could. Perhaps it may have something to do with catering for over 200 guests.
It would be nice to return but only after a couple of years, not every year like some do."

"What can I say?
Second time in Turkey, and we hit a winner
No negatives whatsoever with the Oykun Hotel
Staff fantastic - thanks particularly to Freddy, Veli and Goldie - rooms spacious and clean, pools clean , food great
Calis not the busiest or biggest of resorts, but Fethiye and Olu Deniz only a short Dolmus away so no problems there
Overall a winner 10/10

"This is a great hotel with fantastic staff. Great bar area and two good sized swimming pools. It also has its own Turkish bath.
I have stayed in many hotels in Calis Beach and this has to be the best hotel in Calis. It is ideal for families. The resort of Calis is amazing. It is a very small resort but donât let that fool you; it has an amazing choice of restaurants all along the prom and plenty of bars to finish off the night!"

"i really hate to write a bad review , but this is the truth,,,arrived 19 july for 15 nights, booked this hotel direct upon reading reviews, met at dalaman by ronaldo the hotel night receptionist, great and funny guy!! nice air con mini bus, upon arriving we were greeted by oykon the owner, nice guy, but when shown to the room, it was only really big enough for three, when we booked, he said room is large enough for 2 adults, and two kids, so, we had a double bed, fold down sofa, and a BABYS COT!! FOR A LARGE 5 YR OLD, the wife was extremley unhappy, if they could not supply a room big enough they should have said at the time of booking< so, being tired, we decided to stay there until morning, the air con barely worked at all, to be fair, the next day they tried to fix but to no avail, next morning we used the cloudy pool, by the following morning, our 7 yr old boy had a bad ear infection, the following day, we all did 4 seperate hospital visits, upon speaking to other guests, we found another 4 people with ear infections, swimming trunks and costumes went green, as did one girls highlighted hair, another two nights in sauna like hotel room, was enough, so we moved the next morning to the delta hotel, very nice, we did notice they were draining the pool when we were leaving, upon checking out, the tried to charge for 1 week, got quiet aggressive , but we stuck to our guns, and paid for the nights we had stayed,,, i really hate to write this review , as many people have enjoyed this hotel ,"

"We were at this hotel for two weeks in July. We found the hotel to be excellent, rooms were spotless as were all public areas in the hotel. We were in the old block, but this didnât matter as the rooms were as nice as in the new block.
Hotel staff worked extremely hard and long hours, but they were still all very pleasant and helpful.
We had a heat wave while we were there with temperatures in the fifty's, thank goodness for air con which kept our room cool.
The owner of the hotel emptied the pool on more than one occasion and refilled it to get cold water again.
When we left the hotel the owner and his son Oykun were there to wave us off.
I would definitely visit this hotel again."

Excellent 3* Family orientated hotel
"We have just returned from a really excellent stay at the Oykun Hotel. Having first visited the hotel last year, we decided to return to see if our initial observations still remained. We were not disappointed! The accommodation was spotless, the staff friendly and the hotel immaculately kept.
We used the hotels transfer service from and back to the airport, an air conditioned mini-bus, which was excellent! We stayed on a half-board basis, mainly home cooked Turkish fayre, excellent breakfast with fast food available at lunch if you so wished.
There has been some major improvements made to the hotel since last year. The restaurant and bar have been extended , although we did feel that by extending the bar it did lose some of the magical atmosphere it had of the previous year. The bar tenders tended to congregate down at the old end of the bar and ignored those sitting at the other. The first all-weather flat bowling green in Turkey has been installed and did attract quite a large amount of bowlers.
Both swimming pools and surrounds are kept very clean and there are plenty of loungers. The one downside we found was that the quiet pool was no longer quiet! The hotel had moved the table tennis, pool and football tables and put them beside the quiet pool. Not a good move! This was like a magnet for the kids and of course the noise and antics generated by them sometimes got out of hand. Several guests were very unhappy with this situation and although they absolutely adored the hotel said they would not be returning.
This is a well run hotel and Oykun, the owner, does and is doing everything possible to ensure that this hotel keeps its reputation as being a first class family orientated hotel."

"When we arrived the owner himself carried the cases to our very pleasant room. This was the start of a holiday which I hope I can repeat over the next few years. We have been coming to Turkey for a number of years but this was the best hotel that we have stayed at. The room was spotless and was kept so during our stay. The food was excellent as was the service in reception and in the restaurant. I have never seen so many sunbeds and umbrellas. When the time came for us to depart the owner, his son, the receptionist and the bar manager came to wish us bon voyage."

Second time we have stayed at the Oykun...
"Second time we have stayed at the Oykun in Calis Beach and once again we couldn't have been happier.
The staff are all brilliant and the hotel with its 2 pools and plenty of sunbathing space are first class. The only mistake we made was not eating at the hotel.
We enjoyed going to the sea-front restaurants and never thought about eating at the hotel but, when we finally did, we wondered what we were doing as the meals were tastier, cheaper, and safer than eating out. Won't make that mistake again!!
To book meals at the hotel only costs an additional £5 per night for the set menu.
I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone who wants a comfortable hotel in a resort that is ideal for families, couples, and (early and late season), older people as the weather is more suitable.
Even though it was early May, we had wonderful weather with a refreshing cooler evening and night."

"We have holidayed in many places but have never been as happy with our hotel and resort, as we have been at the Oykun in Calis.
The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the rooms are comfortable with free air conditioning and mesh at the windows to keep out the insects.
The breakfasts are the best ever with the tastiest bread, yoghurt, jams, drinks, cereals, preserves, cheeses etc and a chef waiting to prepare your eggs however you wish.
Breakfast is served in an open-sided dining room by the pool.
There are 2 lovely pools and plenty of sun beds for everyone and this year they have massages.
We are going back just like most of the people we met last year who go back year after year. It is like being a member of a family where everyone knows everyone else - home from home.
The restaurants by the beach are all brilliant. You choose what you want before looking at the price as the prices are never a problem.
So many restaurants and not enough nights to go to them all. One of our favourites was the Berk but we didn't have any meals that were not delicious and the staff make sure you have a great time. They are all the entertainment we needed.
See you there in May!"

"We arrived at the Oykun on the 6th October, at 4 in the morning, after doing this flight with a 1 year old in tow you can imagine we were very tired.
The transfer took about 45 mins (we were the first to get dropped off). On arrival the owner greeted us with two lads to carry our cases to the room (they were very quiet in doing so to ensure they didn't disturb any other guests).
I have only good things to say about this hotel, the cleanliness, the staff, the pool. Everything was perfect.
This was the first time we had taken our child abroad, but I had nothing to worry about here. The staff at the hotel adore children so we were always made to feel welcome here, and in every restaurant we visited (the italian on the sea front is delicious) they came and entertained our little girl once she had been fed so we could have some peace as we ate.
One thing I did notice was the amount of mothers/daughters visiting this resort together. I can imagine this is because you feel very safe here.
All in all I would really recommend this hotel and resort for people travelling with children or women travelling alone.
Definatly take a dolmus through to OluDeniz, however if your going in peak season I suggest you take the water taxi as the dolmus can get pretty hot and swetty!
