"stones throw from the beach. Noisey at times, especially from some fellow guests till the early hours of the morning, she will know who she is !!! Manager Genola is a nice man but the owner is not at all friendly, just sits at the bar all day. There is no atmosphere at this hotel due to the staff and it could be so much better. we only used it to shower and sleep, we were not made to feel welcome. The rooms were kept clean with fresh towels and twice weekly bed linen change. Alcohol drinks were expensive everywhere, in fact everything is much more expensive in Turkey now, so to us it was not a cheap holiday. I would consider returning to this hotel in the future due to it`s location and cleaness. Take away the owner and the place would be great !!!!!"

"Magic tulip Beach hotel was great rooms are small and basic but very clean and the staff couldnt do enough to help us including negociating prices for trips and taxis , i would strongly reccomend you do the paragliding with "hector" he has been doing this for over 20yrs and can arrange various activites for you my 68yrs mum even did the paragliding and loved it !
A boat trip is a must and sure yours includes a trip to butterfly valley which is a lovely "hippie" type valley with no electric ! and tree houses ! but make sure you have shoes as the beaches are stoney.
Dont be afraid to haggle over prices in the shops for bags and sun glasses vist "Jeff at harvey nicks " along the main street another must is a hubbley bubbley pipe on the beach late evening is great to chill out on bean bags and a lovely warm camp fire ! alough drinks are a bit expensive . one word of warning you will buy lots of things whilst there but they are very strict on your bagagge allowance on your return flight and will charge you £12 per kilo over your allowance so pack light sports wear is very cheap at the market so buy it over there ! enjoy !"

"I have just returned from magic tulip hotel oludeniz .i read reviews on this hotel and being turkish myself didnt believe staff could be unfriendly.BUT ITS TRUE.I have worked myself many years in tourism and have never seen so unprofessional staff. When i arrived it was six in the morning,i had to wake up the guy at reception. He was sleeping on a bed in reception. he was not happy i woke him.He handed us room key,no hi,no welcome and didnt show us to our room - not off to a good start, but tomorrow is another day.but tomorrow was much the same.no service,no smiles, and certainly no trust between owner and staff.for example, the waiter (as instructed by management) stood over us for payment at breakfast. this was for one bowl of cornflakes 2.50lira would we escape without paying! In general the hotel was well kept rooms very clean and pool area very nice - what a pity this was spoiled by the unfriendliness of staff. I heard many complaints from other families.this certainly brought the mood down - not what you want on holidays. very disappointed we had to pay 5lira per day to park car on the street outside hotel - make sure you find the parking attendant to avoid a parking ticket of 120 lira, wish we had been able to find him."

"We've been to Turkey 3 times, twice of which were to Oludeniz because we love the area. The Turks are great fun and the weather and food are always top notch. We've just come back from a 7 day stay at the Magic Tulip Beach hotel and something this time has changed! The hotel itself is in an excellent location right next to the beach behind the Buzz Beach Bar. Noise after midnight was minimal from the seafront bars, so this was a very restful location. We came back to Turkey due to the poor exchange rate on the euro this year, but we didn't bank on the Turkish also making the most of the surge in british customers for this reason. On arrival at the hotel we were charged £14 for 7 days air con, and another £14 for use of the safe in the room. If we wanted to use their fridge (again in the room) this was another £14 again. (the brochure did not explain this at all) Drinks were £2 for a standard sized bottle of beer, and cocktails started from £4 (actually not dis similar to our prices in some areas at home). The staff could only speak pigeon English, and we felt they must have had their personalities removed when they were interviewed for the job. (very moody and lazy as well, not at all like the other Turkish people we met elsewhere i must add!) The "boss" always sat at the bar barking his orders at the staff and did not move, the staff were shuffling around not doing anything in particular, and the advertised pool table was hidden around a corner out of sight from the bar covered over with a sheet, which we didn't see until the 2nd to last day (something which was the "boss's" idea, although the staff felt it should be in the bar area- maybe he should listen to his staff a little more) The cleaners came in religeously every morning to change the towels (which they did very well after repeatedly banging on the door every morning at 9am, not understanding the words "no yet", "no thanks" or "later please"), but very little else. There was hair in the shower plug hole and soap marks on the sink that remained there all week, along with dust over the beds that you could write your names in. Attached is a photo of my wifes slipper after she had walked around in the carpeted room - they were filthy! Again showing they they made an effort, but didn't do the job well. The pool was very clean and food looked good although we didn't eat there. On checking out, we had to be out the room by 11:30 but were not being picked up until 10:30 at night, so needed to keep our room on so we could shower and change etc. true to form there was also another "charge" for this (£20 until 6pm or £30 until 8pm). Again we paid extra for this too. I think as this is a new hotel they may be just getting up to speed with the service etc (although they've had their sister hotel the magic tulip for a few years now), so apart from the above, if you want a quiet break with excellent location to the beach, don't mind a basic room with basic service from the staff, then this hotel could be for you."

Great family holiday, value for money and friendly staff

"We were a bit dubious this year as we were travelling with daughter,son-in-law & grandson so were staying at this smaller B & B hotel which they chose.

We were very happily surprised - the location is perfect,. just a few minutes stroll from the main beach, although this is very pebbly. However within a 20 min walk you can be at Sugar Beach which is beautiful just at the Lagoon and perfect for children. Lewis had a ball.

Although the Hotel is fairly basic the rooms are large and have air-conditioning, safe, fridge - however there is a charge for these.

The hotel was spotless and well maintained ans staff helpful and friendly. We were there over my birthday so had a terrific night out at BUZZ BAR with a wonderful meal and watched the sunset (however unfortunately it did ran later in the evening but it didn't dampen our spirits)

The Magic Tulip has a sister hotel, the Magic Tulip, which we did visit for the Turkish Night - I woudn't however choose to stay here so make sure you don't confuse the two.

I would certainly recommend this Hotel for value for money, location, & friendliness.

We would certainly consider having another family holiday there.

Magic Tulip BEACH, not the Magic Tulip!

"There are many reviews on the internet for the Magic Tulip, but none for the Magic Tulip Beach. The Magic Tulip does get bad reviews, and the Magic Tulip Beach should not be confused with this hotel - it is far superior. It is, however, owned by the same company. Hussain is the owner of the two hotels and he is a very nice man - always ready with a smile and an "hello" even though his English isn't too good.

The Magic Tulip Beach is only a few years old, and is small having only around 27 rooms - two main blocks and three "chalets" at the rear of one of the main blocks. These are not so good - no views and near a noisy bar, so we always specifically request a high room in one of the main blocks. Having said that, they are lovely rooms inside and all have a little terrace.

It is literally a stones throw from the beach - you can even see the sea whilst sitting at the bar, and some of the top floor rooms even have a sea view. There are bars nearby that are loud, but the music generally is turned down at midnight. This can cause a problem, but I sleep like a log anyway and its never disturbed me!

The pool area is lovely - with a nice pool which is cleaned every day. There are always plenty of sun beds around the pool. There are bar snacks available during the day, which are good value and the food at the hotel is lovely. There is also a restaurant attached to the hotel and it is possible to go half board, but we always stay bed and breakfast so we can go to the many restaurants in Oludeniz and nearby Hisaronu. This year a large beer was 4YTL and the hotel also has a happy hour. The lads in the bar are great - Jack and Lee. Genola is the manager and he is a lovely man - always friendly and will do anything for you.

The rooms are very nice inside. There are larger rooms which have a double bed, single bed and a sofa bed and have a separate dressing area with wardrobe and dressing table. There are also smaller rooms which have twin beds. All rooms have fully tiled bathrooms with proper shower cubicles and are furnished to a high standard. The rooms are cleaned every day, with sheets and towels changed regularly. The cleaners are there for 14 hours a day! In such a small hotel, as you can imagine, this means that it is kept incredibly clean.

This is a lovely hotel, and we have already booked again to go back next year - our 5th visit to this hotel and my 11th visit to this resort!"
