NEEDS TO LOOK AFTER GUESTS
"Beautiful 5* hotel in 2* surroundings with 3* service There was chicken in one form or another served with every lunch and evening meal, together with rice, pasta and salad (although the latter was very tasty) It was obvious that the staff in the restaurant had no formal training and on some occassions tables were being cleared before guests had finished eating. The entertainment was non existant (although there was a childrens disco for about 30 minutes every evening). All-in-all, we looked for a relaxing break and got one but having said that we have had relaxing breaks in much better surroundings at a fraction of the cost !"

Nice Hotel, Bad location,Terrible food!!!!!!
"The hotel was nice, the location was bad miles from anywhere and the food was terrible. we got the bus into Altinkum every night to eat, the hotel was soulless. There were no snacks on offer between set meal times and people were asking to be transfered. No english entertainment at all and 1 week is plenty. We left one couple we met who had two weeks there and really wanted to go home. The rooms were fine and the music round the pool was loud but ok if you were on the beach. I would not recommend any british to stay at this hotel cos 5* its not. The man who works behind the pool bar works really hard. The turkish tourists were mostly rude but not all some actually smiled at you. No way would this hotel be taken on by any large English travel companys without massive changes. Good luck if you have already booked if you havent dont bother."

Please do not even think of this hotel as a holiday.
"We just got back from this nightmare hotel,1st thing this is no way a 5 star hotel thats just plain rubbish and a con, this hotel is in the wilds not even one shop or resturant within a hours bus ride, you could say well its all inclusive so why that a problem, well the food is the worst i,ve ever had at a hotel, and theirs no food in between meals at all,you get the same breakfast every day a hardboild egg soup and salad, lunch you wont have the hardboild egg but you will still have the soup and salad with loads of bread and the evening meal is a mixture of whats been left from lunch freshend up with a few other things. drinks start at 10 am and finish at 11pm on the dot, all drinks are served in small plastic cups although you do get a glass with your meal,at 11pm drinks stop even if you are at the bar waiting for you drink then they will charg eyou even for a coffie or coke, the prices are sky high, thats why a shop would have been a god send, when waiting at the bar you will always be put behind any turks wanting to be served even if they come well arfter you the bear is ok but you will be very lucky if you get a spirit as every time i asked i was told all gone, the coke was flat all week and was luke warm, when we got there they tried to give us a twin room so we showed them we had book a double room ,with a dirty look aand some turkish word we could lucky not understand was told ok we move you ,well the room we got was at the side of the hotel and over the kitchens and rubbish skip what a nightmare as the skip was full of food and at 28 outside you should see the flys in our room and the smell was just terrible when we complained we was told that all the double bed rooms was on that side of the hotel . the outsie area was always dirty even round the pool and bar area, the beach was full of old plastic cups and cig butts and not really safe to walk on without flipflops, it has never been cleaned and is only about 2 meters of sand wide,so if you want to lay on a bed every one walking down the beach has to walk right past the end of your sunbed , if your at the beach theirs a long walk back to the bar at the pool as theirs no bar at the beach, and has you cant really trust the turks you have to take any thing of value with you, toilets you have to walk all the way back up to the hotel has that the only place in the resort with toilets, the noise for the pool area was so loud that even at the beach we could not attempt to sleep and if you have a twin room wich is at the front and not like us at the side with the food skip you can forgeting any sleep as this goes on till midnight and no amount of complaints will stop it, every english person at this hotel must have done this we used to sit in the reception area and watch as our entertainment, to get in to antikum the resort center where everything is going on you have to get the bus which stops outside the hotelit come every hour and is a minibus which holds twelve but as this hotel is in the middle of nowhere and the bus picks up on route theirs a very good chance you wont get on, which means a cab at £17-£20 eachway the last bus back is at midnight and ofcourse everyone wants it ,so theirs a very good chance your going to pay for the cab home ,it takes about 45 minets by bus but this could be up to a hour and a half. at the hotel theirs no intertainment for the english,it all done in turkish even the signs saying what is on is in turkish ,as all inclusive its standerd to get bttled water but this hotel charges you £1 a bottle if you dont want to pay you can have the water from their tap waterbottles the hotel has employed the lads from the villages near the hotel that was what they had todo to build the hotel ,so the service is strange to say the least ,dirty looks, lustfullstares at your wife in front of you, rude broken english, the table in the dinningroom only get clean once druing the feeding time so theirs a good chance your going to have to eat with food all over the table and go find clean knifes and forks if your down early in the morning for breakfast you might see see the nightbefores dirty plates and cups still stacked on some tables, they just dont understand that thats not what you do ,the bar top has never been wiped down so if you go up for a drink and touch it your hand gets stuck to the bar, they all need training ,as we was over the top of the kitchen we would see them outside preparing the food picking their noises smoking wiping the sweat of their head with their hands ,at 4 am someone somewhere in the hotel started with a hammer and chisel on a wall or floor crazy crazy crazy, if you read this and still go to this hotel you was well told and its your own fult just like its my fult because i did not pay attention to the reviews i read ,be warned this is a joke for a holiday,it was hard work and has cost me a fortune having to get cabs to eat and drink as well as pay for this hotel. Big big disappointment
"We were put into this hotel because the hotel we booked on the internet said did not have our booking or payment from the holiday agent! This hotel looks impressive but, unless your are Turkish...dont go there! Food is very poor, no labels to say what it is, salads are covered in oil and mayo type dressing, flies are rife in the food area, soup and salad served at breakfast. Dont wait in a queue to be served because the Turks will just push infront of you and get served first. You must be down at about 5 or 6 am if you want to get a lounger in the morning. Kids club and mini disco is totally Turkish so our child wouldnt go in. She constantly sang one of the favourite songs played all day long and in the mini disco tho....."I want to ride on your disco stick...your not happy till you explode your dick.." This and Emnem!! not suitable for a 7 year old. Drinks are a joke..only rough vodka, raki and beer. I tried asking for rum and coke..after several attempts, the waitress poured me a coke, slid it across the bar and walked away muttering under her breath. The afternoon snack consists of an oily flat bread served with herbs (you have to wait in line in the heat of the sun to get it!) No safety signs in any language other than Turkish. Only thing to visit on a nights stroll is the mosque up the street. A lot of Turkish women swim in full clothes....making me feel uncomfortable and wondering about the hygiene."

Be warned! gorgeous hotel but awful service, food, entertainement and location!
"24 year old couple. Stayed for 2weeks in the hotel, 1st mistake! 1week was more than enough and we couldnt wait to come home. If you are a picky eater- you will really struggle to find anything to eat unless you like salad, or bread. We are by no means picky eaters at all, and will always try things once, however after starting the holiday with hope, even we after a few days were sick to death of the food! Every single meal we had was cold- even when getting it straight from the 'hot plate!'. Every meal was either drowned in grease or deserts drowned in syrup! Hotel staff were very rude, sleazy and only served turkish guest 1st, although there was one waiter who was fantastic- Mr Efes who worked constantly behind the pool bar! fab guy- if only the rest were half as nice as him! to say they are supposed to be desperate for british guests the hotel was probably 95% full of the rudest turkish locals who were AWFUL and give turkey a bad name. They clearly have no idea what a queue is, have absolutely no respect for any females, and were the most wasteful people i have ever seen. You would think the food would run out for the amount of plates they would fill up and then take a mouthful and leave. They also allowed their very very young children to run around the food hall whilst they filled their faces. If you want a relaxing holiday, you wont get this as everyday is the same- constant LOUD awful music around the pool- with games that were mainly centred around the turkish. Entertainment was apparanly good for kids, however as a young couple, we were very very bored at night! The journey into altinkum is also a nightmare- very cheap but takes between 40mins and an hour and taxis are a rip off! over all we were VERY disappointed with the holiday and would not recommend it- fabulous hotel with potential- however maybe in a few years and with A LOT of changes will it live up to the 5* tag!"

Love Turkey..............but this was not one of the better hotels
"The hotel location is poor remote to far to any resorts. The hotel was clean and tiday. This is the first Turkish hotel were you felt unwelcomed by staff and turkish guests. We have visted Turkey 14 times over the last 9 years so we consider ourselves experianced travellers around the country. The room was a good size and the bed was excellent very comfortable, bathroom small but functional. The food was very basic with very little choice, meat was mostly diced and bolied rather than cut roasted meats, food was often cold......but thats the way most turkish people like their food. Serviced was really bad...........I lost count on number of times.I lost it with the Barmen and the management. The staff always serve Turkish people first. Really made to feel like secound class tourists. Better off pay a bit more money and go to Didum beach hotel we have been there and its much better value for money. The question we always ask would you go back.........this hotel no chance, Turkey we still love the place but will stick to checking reviews first........we were the first British tourists to visit this hotel and there was no reviews.......trust the majority of reviews here and you wont go wrong. We took a chance and got it completly wrong.......you cant win them all. LOL"

Remember - you're on holiday - a chance to experience new things!
"We went to this hotel at the end of July. Please take the other reviews with a pinch of salt. Holidays are what you make them and we really enjoyed ourselves! Room was clean and very modern, balcony was on the small side with only one chair but we took the chair from the room out and that was fine. The view was great - pool and sea. There were plenty of activities all day and night. The animation team were great - worked really hard, long hours. Big hello to Kai!!! The spa was good although we didnt use it. There was an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and turkish bath. When we went they didnt have any internet access although they are planning on it. The pool was very busy and we found it hard to get a sunbed but we went to the beach every day which was cooler and we never had a problem getting a bed even if we were up later. Sea was very shallow and safe for children. Food - there was always a huge selection of bread and salad. There was also pasta every meal time. Although there were no labels on the food we just tried everything - some was good some not so good but i never tasted anything that i really didnt like. i will agree that the food was not geared toward the British but I dont think that that is necessarily a bad thing. I dont want to go to turkey and eat British food. Just try things - you may be pleasantly surprised. We found the staff to be extremely friendly. It could be hard to get an ashtray from them but they were all very nice apart from one girl at the pool bar - she wasnt rude or horrible - just a bit vacant and dreamy! The hotel is in the middle of nowhere but as other reviews have said the bus is frequent and cheap. Everyone knows that a 5* hotel in Turkey should not be compared with a 5* in Britain so needless to say if you're expecting british standards you will probably be disappointed, saying that I looked at a lot of hotels before we booked and I think we landed pretty lucky!!!"

We had a Lovely time!
"We are a young couple both in our early 20's and were looking for a holiday where we could chill out and enjoy each others company. This hotel was a last minute booking and was a fantastic bargain. The building it self is of high quality and very modern with an attractive pool and beautiful private beach. The staff talk mainly Turkish but are learning more English by the day. The food is the biggest let down, you will find something edible, however not what you may be used to. One night we went out for dinner and that wasnât much better. The entertainment unfortunately was almost all in Turkish and didnât seem up to much. Getting the mini bus into town is as easy as chips and is what we ended up doing every day! The main town offers both a fantastic night life and shopping. The bus stops right outside the hotel every 20 mins and takes you into Altinkum and only costs 1.75 (TL) each way per person. Loads of designer goods to be grabbed in the shopping centre but always HAGGLE!!! everything starts at about double the price they will accept and learn to be strong and say no! some of the Turks do hassle a lot asking you to come into their shop and convincing you to buy things. Just say no and walk away!! we definitely recommend the Jesus watch shop, fantastic replica watches rolex, chanel,Rado etc really cheap, about 60(TL). All in all if you enjoy each others company you will enjoy your stay at this hotel. The facilities are great, the beach is stunning with its clear blue water and golden sands. I must say that a lot of the reviews for this hotel are harsh, and did put me off coming, which was such a shame as had already booked. Please do not be put off, it is a lovely hotel, not a 5* by any means, however the building itself is impressive and is a English 4*, the food and the staff is what is really brings this hotel down. I dare say that this time next year things will have changed, as it is a new hotel they are bound to have teething problems! We never even had to fight for a sun bed (no matter what time we came down)!! Make sure you put your âplease do not disturbâ door sign up, or you will be awoken by the cleaners! You definitely get what you pay for. Overall We ended up having a fantastic time (and the Mrs is very particular) so it must of been ok!! Please donât get too put off by the other reviews, some people have nothing better to do than MOAN!!!"

Excellent last minute deal!!
"This has to have been one of our favorite holidays yet! Some of the reviews on here are very derogatory and many of the issues highlighted are not true!! Firstly if you are interested in booking before you go, one very important point I must raise is that it is a Turkish hotel (although we were quite happy with that) we were told approx. 95 percent of the hotel guests were Turkish with a small percentage being English. However the staff on reception and the Animation team all speak good enough English with the animation team annoucing activities first in Turkish and then in English. The other staff all spoke little English but that was OK because none of us can speak any Turkish. So if you are looking for a "Magaluf 100 % English resort" then this is not the place for you. This is a very clean and brand new hotel and has just been discovered by the English, the few English people that were there had booked last minute deals. The hotel itself is very large, it is some distance away from any other hotels and definitely stands out when you are approaching it. It is right on the beach and the water here is shallow enough for you to go out 100 meters and the water will be below the knees!! There is a lot to do during the day at the hotel, which is all included in the package but we were quite happy enough with just the pool and slides! The staff are very friendly, and very hard working, we saw the same staff everyday of the week and some of them worked excessively long hours, a lot of them are very young and it seems hardly fair that they have to work those hours! Though I am sure they are OK with it. Our only issue was the music, it came on at 10am and although we never slept in that long some of the other English people there did and were not happy as they were woken up by it. However on an evening the entertainment went on until just before midnight, this wasn't really a problem as we understood people were having fun and we had been there on a few nights, but it did become a problem on the last night as we had to get up at 1.30am along with the other Brits to get our return flights back to the UK and we needed to sleep. We really liked that we got to experience a bit of the Turkish culture rather than going on holiday to a British Resort which is almost like being in the same country! The food is pretty much all Turkish which would be a problem to some people but we all liked it! We really enjoyed our experiences at this hotel, and loved every minute of it!! Hope this has helped somebody make a decision to go- it would be a wise choice if you do!"

If you are gagging for a holiday, dont go here!
"We have been to Turkey many times before, delighted to get a last minute deal to a region of Turkey we have not been to in the past. Major mistake!!! This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.Coffee served in plastic cups, beer served almost by the thimble full. The room was a rabbit hutch and was never hoovered.Dirty ash tray from previous guest sat on our balcony for four days.No where clean to sit in the evening,no waiter service to get you one of the 6 or so choice of drinks available.Total lack of areas to relax , no entertainment for adults at all, although trying to guess how many times a day they would have a power cut helped us pass the time. After the power cuts the coffee machines never worked again for hours. One barman offered to make me a cocktail in a plastic cup in the evening but I would have to pay for it.The staff are poorly trained and rude and haven't got a clue. When I asked for ice at 9.30 in the evening for our drinks, the reply...please enjoy your drink, runout of ice.Could you please get some I asked, maybe if I ask someone..Great then do that please as her eyes almost closed with total boredom.Hot breakfast consisted of 3 minute eggs or 5 minute eggs.I have never seen so much bread stacked so high on a plate by the Turkish guests, at first i thought it was some kind of game or local custom. NO they are just so greedy! Meal times were horrible and The comments already posted are all true. The beach front is 8 meters from the sea and like a previous guest witnessed, the balcony started to fall onto the beach and sun deck patio area.Health and safety and running repairs consisted of a security person placing stacked sunbeds in the hole, only to be removed by guests wanting to use them. This hotel is so remote with not even a decent bar or shop in sight. Watched a digger clearing the seaweed one morning, that kept me amused for 20 minutes.Hair dryer cuts out after a few seconds. No one interested in fixing it, so my wife did.If you are unlucky enough to be in that predicament, take the black coloured end off and it will work until the next power cut. This is not a 5 star Hotel and never will be.Going back to the med coast next time, classy hotels with lovely grounds and nice people."

Lovely hotel, shame about the Turks.
"I have read some of the reviews on here and i think that people just have too much time on their hands and really ask for too much. I would start by saying if you want to get away and not pay over the odds you can do alot worse than this hotel, yes it is not a UK 5 star but where can you go these days that is perfect, and this hotel is much better than some of the other places we looked at, which were double the cost. if you are fussy and want perfection for the lowest price possible dont go here, if you are down to earth and you want a nice hotel then this place is for you. first off the weather, it was amazing, if anything too hot but you did get a nice breeze at times. Hotel - lovely and clean rooms, were a little small from what we are used to but were very well presented and modern, TV (channels) was rubbish but that didnt bother us. Dinner time - there was always something for me to eat, it was different every night but as people have mentioned it was hard to get a table for two, they set out the tables in big groups but we just pulled them apart simples. The one thing i didnt like was that you had to get your own meals at dinner time, i would say its nice to sit down and be served your drinks but is it much of an issue? i dnt think so and i think if i went next year things would be different. The days seemed like groundhog day as they seemed to play the same song at the sametime every morning to tell you about the days activities (these were the same everyday) and the music could often be very loud. The music was a good mix tho not all foreign stuff and when at the right volume it was pleasant. The little waterpark was also good only 3 sides but open twice a day for kids and adults. the pool was nice but it was hard getting a lounger if you didnt put something one one late at night or early doors. There are more english going there by the day and to be honest when i booked it had only just come on teletext holidays. The Turks are ignorant but you just have to play them at their own game thats all. we flew with Onur air, they are basically ythe turkish easy jet, simple service but landed early both times, hotel transfers are nott he best but better than going to other places in turkey. Airport very pricey foodwise so eat b4 you go there. As for Brits wanting to minimise your white bits, i didnt say anything about going topless and my partner did and didnt get told off so if you want to then just go topless although you do get the odd star, i think in this case they were just jealous, any questions please ask."
