"Just arrived back from Aegean Park and had to write a review to recommend this complex. The rooms are excellent, really big and spacious, air conditioned, tv and dvd player, huge fridge, microwave, cooker etc etc. It has a small-ish pool and you need to be up early to grab a sunbed, otherwise you've missed out for the day as people tend to leave their towels out til last thing. It is about a 25 min walk to the beach, but there is a courtesy bus 3 times a day if you didn't want to walk down there. Suzie and other reps are very friendly and helpful and have a good deal of knowledge. With the exception of one of the bar staff, the rest of them, (Mustapha, Tarzan, Leo and Ahmed) make you feel very welcome, they are really friendly, will always chat to you and will do anything they can to help. We only ate at the Aegean Park once and although it was ok, we thought that you could eat better at the local restaurants. Cafe More was superb as was the BBQ restaurant opposite the Carrefour supermarket. We went on the boat trip and also the Turkish village trip and found them to be excellent value for money. We booked these at the Maxi Tour office, although we later found out that Suzie could have booked them for us also. Would definitely come back again!!"

"just got back from aegean park after 2weeks what a complex, all in all superb very relaxing quiet most of the time they held a bbq night for £10 per person all you could eat the food was fantastic entertainment on these nights was brill, ok its a walk to the beach but they have a courtesy bus that runs 3 times a day so it wasnt a problem anyway needed to walk off the excess pounds put on with all the good food at park. The pool was big enough not olympic sized but big, a play area for the kids a shop for all your usual needs, the restuarant good food and friendly bar staff. Any problems we encountered were dealt with by the artimis rep suzie on the day the maintence guy frankie was phoned by the rep and he came over immediately and sorted out a minor problem. The rep was on resort most of the time and we could ask her anything very knowledgable good idea of the area and we booked several trips with her and they were excatly what she discribed suzie was very approachable and friendly. I to was worried at some of the reviews about park they were all unfounded pity these people have nothing better to do with their time than moan . Would like to say ive booked for october to come back again."

Good accommodation, shame about the location

"These apartments are very well presented, and maintained. The staff, local and the Artemis agents, do great job. It is quiet, most nights, although there was an incident when some youths from one apartment vandalised a lift early one morning. Be under no illusion that you are near the beach. It may be only 2km or 1.25 miles, so it may be a 20 min walk downhill in winter in 20C, but not in summer at 40C with beach gear or children, and definitely not back up hill. It seemed many guests stayed all day by the pool, out of the cooling breeze. The pool gets very busy, and often raucous, in a good natured way with children and teenagers, and often adults joining in games. There is a shortage of loungers, and sometimes shade, and its not the Germans - this is Brit only, but you need to get your towels out early. Taxis or car hire is essential. The main beach in Altinkum is very, very busy, but there are many quieter beaches nearby, or along the coast, depending on taste. The cooling north breeze and the cool Aegean Sea were a welcome relief. Outside the Park is just rubble, not at all scenic. The power supply was a frustrating distraction every evening. As everyone returned to their rooms, the power would break repeatedly, despite a huge generator outside kicking in. Don't watch a DVD until the power stabilises."

"Having just returned from the Aegean Park Apartments I felt I had to write a review.... I travelled with family including young children and I can highly recommend these apartments. It is quite some distance to the main beach approx 20 mins walk at a brisk pace but all restaurants will pick you up and take you home if you eat at their restaurants. Including lunch and breakfast which became an essential on our holiday as it was 10 lira each way in a maxi tour taxi (who were cheaper than the yellow taxis) to the beach and bars. All apartments had a television with sky news, bbc world news, a music channel plus movies etc. DVD players in all rooms (though our dvd player played in green) Air conditioning in two of the three rooms, a spacious bathroom with a shower and large corner bath, though I was told not all rooms had a bath as big as ours. The kitchen was like home from home, a large fridge freezer, microwave and a cooker 3 gas rings and a ceramic plate. The apartments are nuetrally decorated and of a high standard. There are two small pools for children and a play park for them also. There was a pool table that you could use free of charge. The apartments themselves overall I could not fault, only its location to the main beach and restaurants. The staff at the Aegean - One word - Superb, they truely could not do more for you, they were all friendly and extremely hard working. Very helpful and curtious. Altinkum itself was nice, It was Turkish holiday season whilst we were there and we were anable to "get on" the beach as it was far to busy with locals who were also holidaying and with young children this was not so good, so we found a private beach and stayed there as long as you eat and drink there, again, they will pick you up and take you home, This was located just off the main beach and was ideal for the kids as your lounger was directly on the sea front. Overall, we had a plesent holiday and are looking to return again before our summer holidays finish."
