"Nice little hotel with good pool scene .
Food average but just bar snacks and OK for light lunch .

Shame they add things to your bill without discussing it or tasking about pr8ce ....shame really shameful. "

"My husband and I stayed at the hotel from 1st-8th May 2011.We love Turkey but it was the first we had stayed in Dalyan. The hotel is a hidden gem and a lovely place to stay and lived up to previous trip adviser comments. Intimate and friendly the staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms, restaurant and grounds are well kept and comfortable. No need to take up room in your case with books as they have an extensive array for you to borrow. We stayed B&B a lovely selection each day- omlettes,pancakes,fried/boiled eggs, cold meats, cheeses, cereals, yoghurts, fruit etc. Drinks and food from the bar are signed against your room each day and you just pay in Reception either as you go or at the end of the week.Hussain the Rep was really knowledgable and helpful. We will definitely be going back "

"Arriving at 6am, you don,t get a real sense of a place. Tired, hot, annoyed at a flight delay all adds to a sense of "What have I let myself in for?" as you travel down old, narrow streets of Dalyan..........However, after a couple of hours sleep, when you go out of your average sized(but comfortable) room, the real beauty of the Asur Hotel hits you.
Everything is clean and tidy(and is always kept so), the staff are very courteous and helpful, and the pool is an oasis of quiet and relaxation that my wife and I were looking for. Most of our holiday was spent here and we loved it! Plenty of sun loungers and shades were available and if you got peckish at lunch, no need to leave the poolside as a small hotel cafe provided simple but delicious snacks and drinks.
A couple of trips of course are necessary to sample the country and both the 12 Islands tour and the Caunos/Dinner on Lake trips were fun, interesting and a good way to meet other people. Coming back from our dinner on the lake, the boat lights were turned off, and the feeling of drifting along, looking up at the stars is something that will live with me forever.
Dalyan itself is a small but reasonably busy town. Plenty of bars and cafes are scattered about,so you won't go Hungry or thirsty! Try The Four Seasons Restaurant or the Starfish restaurant(tell Boris Mark from Belfast sent you!) and you won't be disappointed.
Overall, a wonderful, easy-going holiday and we will be back!!"

"If you're looking for a quiet, spotless & friendly hotel in a beautiful location this is the one.
This is a low-key establishment with a lovely Turkish feel. Rooms are small-ish but have everything you need & very comfortable. The premises & gardens are kept in tip-top condition by the excellent staff and the friendly owner is always around to ensure everything is running smoothly.
The location is superb: the garden has an assortment of swinging seats/ hammocks to facilitate very lazy days watching the boats ferrying people to & from Turtle beach on the lovely river. There is also a great pool with plenty of loungers.
The hotel caters for adults and for us the resulting peace & quiet created the perfect 'chill-out' zone.
Families are catered for in the nearby apartments (superb accommodation) whch have their own pool.
The breakfast buffet is excellent & has something for every palate as well as freshly cooked crepes & omelettes to order.
(The hotel is located about a 10 -15 minutes stroll along flat paved roads from Dalyan, so those with walking difficulties might need to check out suitability)
All in all a fantastic holiday in a beautiful part of Turkey. 10/10!"

"We have just returned from a week in Dalyan and we were blown away with the whole place

We stayed in the self catering apartment part of the Asur resort in a 2bed house (it was the only option available at the time we booked and as the Asur had been highly recommended we decided to pay the small surcharge). The 2bed house had a large open plan living area, kitchen and loo downstairs and two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. Both bedrooms had a door to the balcony and views of the tombs and pool. The place was built well and decorated nicely with some lovely wooden features.

The resort has two clean and tidy pools, one for the apartments and one for the hotel and although you were free to use both we never ventured to the hotel pool as there was always plenty of beds available at the apartment. The grounds were also lovely with plenty of hammocks and sunbeds in the shade spread all the way down to the resorts private jetty.

The resort also offers a free boat to the beach every Tues, Thurs and Sun.

As we were self catering I couldnt tell you about the food but can tell you there are some lovely restaurants in the town, my favourite Kosk (see seperate review).

I would also recommend getting up early to do the turtle watch. Another great trip to do is a sailing trip around the 12 Islands...an AMAZING place. We went with a tour company called SunFlowers and although they appear to be a little more pricey than the others (75lira rather than the 45lira others offer) it was worth every penny as there was only 12 on the boat rather than the 40+ we saw crammed on the other boats.

All in all a great holiday in a beautiful place in a excellent resort."

"This hotel is one of the most beautiful hotels i have ever stayed in. The rooms where gorgeous and the pool was amazing - Everything about the hotel screams relaxation and romance.

Me and My partner and and drank what we wanted the whole holiday and didnt worry about the bill until the end - Also needed to pay for one extra night as check out is at 12noon and we wasnt leaving till 11pm ... While their we had lunch nearly every day and also dinner ont he first night and one other night... The WHOLE bill came to 650 TL ... which is about £323... amazing. We also ate out most nights in the town, which was a nice ten min stroll... the average price of eating out was 60-90TL ... Which is 32-50 English... we went out there with £500 each and come back with at least £150 each ... thats including presents and Cigarettes!

This hotel is brilliant could not write enough about it everyones friendly and the owner goes out of his way to help you out - Eg. my boyfriend got burnt really badly on the third day and the owner sent one of the staff to get him some burn cream which he paid for and waved off us paying us back - or puting it on the room!

The only downside i can think of - Is if you dont like dogs, the owner has three dogs, they are lovely one wolf cub with a brown and blue eye and two brown dogs - the wolf is very playful but the other dogs are very docile.

All in all i would definatly go back there - and we are considering going next year too!!"

"Having visited Dalyan over the past 8 years I have stayed in many hotels but the HOtel Asur is by far the best. Inititially I was a little concerned that it may not be up to scratch as it seemed so cheap.....I couldn't have been more wrong! The Hotel itself is spotless, the grounds are amazing, the staff are friendly, helpful and cheerful and the two resident spaniels are the cutest things ever! If you are thinking of visiting Dalyan you must try this hotel. The town centre is just a 5-10 minute walk away and there are free boat taxis from the hotel to the caretta beach............all in all one of the best holidays I have had in a long time. Definately one to return to next year."

"This was our first trip to Turkey and what a wonderful hotel and resort for an introduction to a fabulous country. We can only agree with all the other comments about the Asur and Dalyan. The Asur has a charm and friendliness that is so lacking in a lot of large hotels around the world. We particularly liked the garden's river frontage and found mosquitoes no problem thanks to a new Boots spray (Repel Insect repellent in a grey bottle). One of us always gets bitten even in England and didn't receive one bite in Dalyan. All the hotel staff are very friendly and everything is kept spotless by the very hardworking cleaners. If you do stay at the Asur go on the boat trip run by the hotel to the mud baths it is excellent value for money.
We will definitely return (that is if there are any vacancies left) to this little piece of
Paradise."

"we read all the notes on trip advisor about this hotel before we went and thought one of them at least would say something negative about this hotel but it wasn't until we arrived at 4.30am after a long day at work and a stressfull drive to the airport that we realised we had actually reached an oasis of paradise slap bang in the middle of Dalyan. Rooms are compact but very clean and functional for a holiday, the pool area is beautiful and plenty of sunbeds to go round. Extremely clean bpool bar area and pool with a fab little pagoda style restaurant for lunch which did snacks from 12.30 - 3.30pm daily. The gardens leading down to the jetty were beautiful. Shrubs and trees concealing hammocks in which to lie if the afternoon sun gets a little too hot also swing seats and sunbeds on the jetty for those who enjoy watching the boats go to and from the beach. The hotel offers a free boat to the beach on tue, thurs and sunday each week leaving at 10.15 and returning at 1.15 but you have to pay for sunbeds on the beach if you want one 6tyl per couple. Hotel is approx 10 - 15 minute walk to the town - and that's a slow walk but you will be harrassed by the restaurant and bars owners, they all want your money !! Our favourite restaurant was Safran's which is the first restaurant you will come to once you're on the main road into town, great riverside location and professional staff - but beware mozzies, plenty of protection needed here!! Smashing little town with lots of bars and restaurants, we're old time rockers so The Rock Bar belting out some old favourites was out usual haunt and Muf the owner is a great host. There is lots for everyone here at dalyan and we thought we would miss being by a beach but after one visit we never gave it a second thought, out hotel and it's grounds were perfect. I defy you not to enjoy the Asur, we will be returning as soon as they have some availablility."

"Our fortnight at the Asur Hotel exceeded all our expectations. Spotlessly clean, well equipped room. Friendly management & staff who truly went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. 5 star buffet breakfast (huge choice) served in peaceful scenic garden room (07.30 - 10.00 so no rush) Lovely pool, plenty of loungers for everyone and a well cared for garden with a variety of seating (the hammocks were very popular) leading down to the riverside dock where there was always plenty to watch - passing boats, turtles & lots of other wild life (& a nice cool breeze)
Mostly couples aged 40+ staying here & all were very sociable which added to the holiday aswell. If you are looking for a friendly, relaxing holiday (reasonably priced) this hotel & Dalyan itself will be hard to beat in my book - many of the couples come back to this hotel year after year & it is not hard to see why - hopefully we will be joining them."

"Fantastic hotel The rooms are set in bungalows , they were literally spring cleaned every day. The staff were very helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is situated by the river so mosquetos can be a problem our mosqueto repellent does not work use Sin Kov (turkish repellent) this works a treat. The garden is filled with swinging seats and hammocks great for an afternoon nap! The hotel offers a free boat to the beach 3 times a week saving you approx 10lira each.
Lots of restaurants too many to choose but Ali Baba's in the middle of town is a must excellent food at very reasonable prices.

We tried a Turkish bath an amazing experience, also the Mud baths are a great day out.

We will certainly be returning to this little piece of paradise for a further visit."
