A great holiday!
"I am not the kind of person that tells you to ignore the reviews other people have posted here but having read about rude russians, poor service, ignorant waiters that respond only to tipping and seeing photos of mouldy bathrooms and unhygienic conditions in the restaurant, all I can say is that we experienced none of these. Check in was smooth and quick and we were not disappointed with our room when we got there. Our one grumble about the room was the rock hard beds. They were not very comfortable to sleep in. We stayed in one of the bungalow rooms just a stones throw from the main pool area. It was quiet and surrounded by very pretty and well kept gardens. It was cleaned daily and fresh towels and linen provided frequently. The food was a bit hit and miss for us. What we ate was always hot and tasty, but, although I do appreciate that they have to cater for a number of different nationalities, it wasn't to our taste to see boiled caulilower, potatoe wedges and chips on the breakfast menu. However, lunch and dinners were OK with a good range of salads, grilled meats, and deserts. In the time we were there they had three themed evenings, Fish, turkish night and a chinese night. One tip, try and get a table poolside if you can as although the restuarant has many open sides, it gets VERY hot in there. The staff at the letonnia Golf resort work very hard to make sure you have a good holiday. They respond very well to politeness and friendliness. The animation team especially and I have to say that we had some of the best entertainment there. Simba, Appo, Ravi and co are great and go out of their way to make sure you have fun. There is always something happening with the main show in the ampitheatre starting at 10pm. There was always a good crowd and we always left happy. The shows are mainly musical based and, OK, some of them involve miming, but the dancing and costumes are great and the comedy works very well too. Olympics day is great fun with guests being split into three teams and competing in fun games on the beach and in the pool all day. We also had a foam and fire party on the beach which started after the main show finished. The beach bar and disco was open until 2am. The pool area was very nice and the water was warm. There are two slides on either side with three or four walk-in areas. The main part of the pool was 1.7m deep and suitable for diving. The beach was lovely with plenty of sunbeds. But the soft sand changes into stones at the water's edge. Now, the Russians have had very bad press and maybe some of it is justified but I'd take a hotel of them over a hotel of british lager louts who want to fight everyone when drunk any day. We only had one or two instances of pushing in at the restaurant but apart from that, no problems at all. Belek city centre is full of shops selling the usual fake designer gear. We went there on two occassions via the tractor and cart that picks you up just outside the hotel. It was 2 Lira per person and takes about 10 mins. Belek was very quiet and extremely overpriced. Despite it being very quiet, the shops didn't come down much in price and we refused to buy from some of them in the end. If you want to go further afield, then another bus picks up daily and for 7 Euros per person you could go into Antalya or Side/Manavgat. The price is for "go and return" and picks up at 10, dropping back off at 4pm. It was a lot cheaper than booking the Thomson tours. We did book the Turkish Bath trip and got a Sauna, Jaccuzi, steam room, scrub, foam wash and oil massage for just over £20.00. We also had another £50.00 of extra treatments while we were there but as we didn't have enough money on us, the arrangement was to pay the driver once he had taken us back to our hotel. Sadly for them, they didn't tell the driver that and he drove away after we got off the minibus. Bonus!! All in all, we had a great holiday and I would say to you that if you were looking at booking, then do it. If only for the free cocktails. Oh yes, room service is free after midnight. But, as this hotel has 5 stars, do not go expecting 5 star comfort as you will be disappointed."

week in tetoonia
"Had a lovely holiday with my husband and grandaughter in letoonia golf resort Belek the weather was not that good for april, the hotel is very clean the staff very friendly the entertainment was ok, lots of russians germans and french the rooms are clean the only problem we found was the bath when you stand in the bath to have a shower we found it was very narrow at the bottom being two pensioners we found it a bit slippery to stand so we used to go and have a shower by the indoor pool. The food was ok not very warm by the time you walked to you table it was cold they had a lot of pasta but it had lot of herbs on my grandaughter wasnt very keen on the food, they did have spring rolls one evening but if you went in for your meal at 9 all the spring rolls were gone and they did not put any more out.there is lot to do during the day tennis volley ball on the beach aqua arobics, step arobics. The taxis are very expensive if you go to belek.Have said all that the place is fantastic and we will certenly be going back"

"My boyfriend and I stayed at the Letoonia Golf resort this summer (July 2010) and it was brilliant! We had a pool side room which had lovely views, the room itself was brilliant it was cleaned daily, sometimes not until 3 or 4 o'clock but we were always by the pool at that time anyway so this didn't bother us. The staff were lovely and friendly but did get a bit annoying when it was time for water polo! The food was lovely, always fresh and cooked in front of you apart from the pasta's and salads e.t.c they often had BBQ's in the evening which would cook fresh meats, fish and kebabs! I'm a very picky eater myself but could always find something I liked. They always had a lady cooking pancakes in the morning which I had every day! The pool area was very clean, and we had no problem finding a sun bed in the mornings! The only downsides were that the shops in the resort are so overpriced, on our last day we ended up paying what worked out as £7 for a small can of deodorant as we had ran out of our own. The Russiansâ are extremely rude but we met a lot of English people within the resort as well! The beach wasn't very nice we only stayed around the pool! I would recommend this holiday to anyone just wanting to get away for a relaxing break, although there's entertainment in the hotel there's not a lot more to do. There are excisions at night time to local night clubs and bars but they are very expensive so I don't think it's really a good place for young people going away in groups but defiantly a great holiday for couples and families! :-) "

"Just arrived home from 11 days at The Letoonia Golf Resort, with two children, 12 & 10 years old. On the whole a very enjoyable holiday . . . GOOD POINTS: Hotel - very big and clean! Food - superb! Turkish people - Friendly! Staff - Attentive! Weather - HOT (mid-30's every day) Pools - clean and fun & plentiful! Belek itself, nice and clean and loads of shops, but remember to haggle! (eg. if we didn't haggle in one shop we'd have paid approx. £150 for a few boxes of Turkish Delight and a couple of keyrings!!!) NOT-SO-GOOD-POINTS: Trips - disappointing, 'Sun & Fun' Jeep Safari - Jeeps battered beyond belief, the 'water fights with other Jeeps' amounted to throwing a small bottle of drinking water on one of them, at one point only! The boat trip around the 'Green Lake' that followed was pretty but dragged on a bit. And the White-Water-Rafting that we booked was cancelled by Thomson. So not much fun for kids. Lots of Russians which isn't really a problems, as I'm sure if it was the other way around then they'd be writing 'lots of Brit's' on their websites! Beach - not the cleanest in the world and a bit choppy at times, but much quieter than around the pool which was nice! Waiter Service in the restaurants - this was more amusing than a pain, as let's face it, no one should be rushed on holiday! But if you were in a hurry you would struggle! We sat down to lunch on our last day, and the starters wrong, and VERY slow, then when we ordered four main courses, two arrived and were eaten before the other two turned up. And out of a choice of three desserts on the menu, we had the wrong combination sent to us I think FOUR times, all good fun! "

"Firstly i have been to lettonia 14 times ...9 times fethiye and 5 times Belek and normally visit twice a year may and September so when we 1st stayed at Belek i fell in love with the place............not any more, the standards in the resort have dropped to what i could only class as 2star. the food is definately sub standard and consisted of stews on the hot plates (which were cold) or turkey or meatballs on the grills /woks outside (which beware the turkey is pre cooked and re-heated for the stirfrys) the rooms are severly dated and signs of mold in the bathroom(we stayed in the hotel)a fridge which did not work and had to be changed twice . since our last visit there are now a lot less staff and obviously they are overworked. the management parade around the resort and will not listen to any critisism and just state "this is a 5 star resort"well it may have been 20 years ago but not now and they definately do not get the stars from food/Drink quality the motto of the hotel is "once Letoonia always letoonia" my motto is "14 times Letoonia never again letoonia""

"Highly recomment this hotel. We were a party of 10, 5 adults 4 under 5's and a teenager. The hotel surpassed our expectations, the food was freshly cooked and the variety was impressive, we enjoyed every meal, there is a choice for everyone. Fresh juice in the morning, a must for a 5 star hotel (not something you get in Egypt 5 star!). People were friendly and could not do enough for you, no hassle from people trying to sell you things on the beach. Entertainment good too. We went in peak season and to be honest there was never any queues the place seemed quiet even sometimes! Cleanliness good, and the rooms were very spacious. Only the sunbeds by the pool were taken quickly, but the beach was almost emply. Cant fault this hotel we would definatley go back. Quite a few English, with some Russians and Germans, they are both incredibly rude, made us proud to be english!!"

We have just returned from a 2 week holi...
"We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at the Letoonia (2 adults, 2 children aged 2 and 13). We've been to turkey about ten times now and this hotel and location beats it all !! The cleanliness of the hotel was spotless everywhere, you could always see cleaners polishing, and gardeners keeping up the gardens. The staff at the Letoonia were all very friendly, always had a smile. The bar staff, cleaners, animation team, etc... All the staff were also very helpful. The food was always hot, and plentyful, to suit different tastes. There was one buffet restaurant, the mediterranean, The beach snack restaurant and 3 A la carte restaurants. Which ever one you chose to eat in, you always got a lovely meal. There was lots of bars, outside pool bar, beach bar, cosy bar, vitamin bar. It was fully inclusive,24 hrs! There was room service from 12 at night to 7 in the morning. There was about 4 or 5 pools at the Letoonia (including the spa pool). One that was quite big, divided into two by a bridge, with two slides. One rectangular pool where all the pool games were played, and two pools around by the bungalows which were slightly quiter than the main ones.Theres no need to take towels-they were supplied there. There was also a baby section of the main pool, and a baby pool around by the kids section with a little slide feature in the middle. There was a big kids part that had the pool, a big park, a room with bean bags and tellies, lego room, etc.. During the day two girls from the animation team did face painting, and activites with the children, at 9.00pm there was also a kids mini disco. The Animation team here were fantastic, they came round to you asking if you wanted to do pool games, darts, beach volley and other activites they did. They had tennis courts, mini golf, basketball courts and more (free to use)They all made your holiday more fun. Of a night they did great shows that included dancing, comedy etc... There was lots of the Animation Team (20+), and they were all so friendly and happy all the time. Never been to a hotel where the Animation Team were so fantastic as this one,(especially Nino and Ali) .The rooms were nice, we had a family suite. They were very clean, spacious, with a nice bathroom which had a bath and shower. One 8ft bed, one double sofa bed, 2 chairs that could be pulled out as single beds. We had 2 balconys. In the rooms, there are mini bars which get refilled everyday with juice, fizzy etc... There's also a safe that is free to use. There was a room with 3 pool tables, 2 table tennis tables, fishing rod hire down by the river, all at no extra cost. There was a spa, which had a turkish bath, with a heated slab in the middle, with big dipped sinks. An indoor pool that was really warm if you went in after turkish bath. (it was quite warm anyway). It also had a gym, a sauna and steamroom, and womens and mens changing rooms, with nice big lockers. All of that is at no extra cost. There is also a hairdresser (with charge). Outside the main part by the pools, there are a few shops, a convenient shop, a couple of jewellers, a souvinier shop, ect... There was also an artist on the complex, that painted by oils or pastels at very reasonable prices. We had our son and daughter done by oils. You only had to go over a bridge to get to the beach. There was a hut on the beach where you could get separate beach towels like the ones for the pool. There were sunbeds in rows, with canopys above. On the beach there was people that did the watersports. You could do parasailing-(very good), wind surfing, jet ski, you could also have a go on the pedlo which was free to use. The back part of the beach is grass (just a small part) and the rest is soft sand. (The grass part was nice, it gave your feet a break from hot sand). This hotel was the best we have ever been to, we've only been home a week and have already booked to go again next year!! Highly Reccomended !!!"

"Do not go to this hotel for October half term. We have just returned from a very disappointing holiday at this hotel which is advertised as 5 star. I have stayed in better 3 star hotels. The accommodation was fine (apart from the smell in the room that was sorted out). However, the hotel was almost closed the week we were there. More and more of it was closed each day. There were no outside restaurants open, and only one bar. The Turkish restaurant was a small restaurant inside which switched from Turkish to Fish on alternate nights. However, it was impossible to book it unless you booked in when you checked in. The slides in the swimming pool were switched off towards the end of the holiday - we were told they were finished for the season - after a lot of complaining one of them was switched on again. The food was extremely poor, both in quality and what was available, catering mainly to the Russian taste. There was not even an ice cream in the place either in the restaurant or in the shops which were also almost out of stock. We got the impression that the staff were just waiting for it to close. We spoke to a couple who had been to the hotel in the summer and had returned because it was so good, they could not believe the difference!!!!! We will definitely not be returning "

Really loved this hotel, very nice surro...
"Really loved this hotel, very nice surroundings and area, although be warned the town of Belek has nothing to do! Worth paying for a taxi to go to Side. Food is good but does get monotonous, and it's worth trying to book into the a la carte restaurants (Turkish, Fish & Asian) early on in the holiday as they get full very quickly - we could only get in on our last 3 nights! Oh and it's definitely worth visiting the Pide (Turkish pizza) ladies, one by the outdoor restaurant and one by the beach bar - as these are so nice! Pool is amazing, and wasn't too busy or full of kids when we were there. Also while you're relaxing round the pool the staff come round with cold towels (definitely needed while we were there as they were having a heat wave!) and also with snacks, e.g. pizza, corn on the cob, cucumber, watermelon. We found the staff very friendly, couldn't fault any of them - and they definitely appreciate English people's politeness compared to the Russians (who in majority were very rude.) The entertainment team are fabulous, and I agree especially Anis & Lee! For those who don't like to just lie by the pool all day there's always something to do, sports, games etc etc. For anyone going planning to play golf my dad & uncle thought the golf was amazing and ended up playing a lot more than they planned! And they are also going back next year to play again! All in all it was a fabulous holiday, and I would definitely go back, the only downside is that the food does get boring after a week or so - but it was so hot I couldn't eat much anyway! (That doesn't go for the rest of my family though...!) Definitely recommended. "

Just returned from a two week break here...
"Just returned from a two week break here and had a great time. I would recommend it to families and couples. Staff were friendly - may have had allot to do with our 17 year old blonde daughter who was very popular! Very clean, food plentiful and enjoyable and the weather was great. The only downside is that there are allot of Russians and Germans -not a problem for us, but many have no manners, push in and pile as much food on their plates as possible. We found it very interesting to watch other cultures form other parts of the world. To sum it up, it is clean, a lovely complex, good food, great animation team -especially Anis and Lee, you can eat and drink 24 hrs a day (didnât manage that but the Russians did) and beach was lovely. Be warned though - it is very remote and you are pretty much confined unless you go out in taxis. We spent allot on taxis but it was nice to get out and about now and again. The bazzar and waterfalls in managvat are well worth a visit as is Side. Itâs a dream for anyone looking for fake designer goods. The haggling is great fun but tiring. I will be going back to this resort and my teenage son and daughter loved it. "
