Not at all 5 stars hotel
"It's rather a 3 stars hotel. Buildings gardens and swimming pool are very nice. Food and restaurant service are very bad. The hotel maintenance it's not done correctly. One day one swimming pool lamp was floating in the water (see picture). Our room WC was sustained by a piece of wood (see picture). The air conditioning was centrally controlled to a very high temperature and is switched off during the night. So it was no possible to control a lowest temperature in each room. We had a fire one night and the lifts where not stopped automatically, the exit panels were not switched on and the alarm did not work. Each guestroom was wake-upped in the middle of the night by a crying employee. The beach sand is dark and sandals are need. The internet was an amateur wifi system on available in the lobby."

"I spent my summer holidays at this hotel, actually I had no idea where Belek is located exactly but friends recommended me to visit the south of Turkey and the whole area and the hotel itself have been a pleasant surprise. The staff is very polite and friendly and I felt like I was at home since the first day. The breakfast buffet was superb especially those delicious american style pancakes with chocolate sauce! For dinner you have the opportunity to reserve in one of the a-la-carte restaurants (Italian or Mexican, I tried both and both are very good) or the dinner buffet. Ask for special buffets because I found out that there are Turkish, Spanish and Asian nights at the buffet restaurant. And don´t miss the Spa, the massages are great and well-priced! All in all great holidays and I will hopefully repeat next year."

good value, happy to go back
"First the minuses - cleaning was slightly sporadic, bathroom was a bit dated and air conditioning didnt work during night so you could wake up quite uncomfortable. On the other hand we found everything else to be good to excellent. Rooms had a good modern style, and of decent size, as did the rest of hotel, including lounge / lobby bar and so on, Staff were highly trained and friendly (hotel is part of a spanish chain NOT turkish) Food was good, not enormous selection but very well prepared also pleased it was proper food not relying on pizza, burgers and other junk which made a change. Clientele - quite a few russians there but all well behaved, only guests who annoyed me were spanish - why do they have to be so loud. Fitness centre was OK but small best to go just before meal times when its empty. Pool was good and clean if not enormous. Beach a bit stoney, normal for turkey, just about enough loungers - liked the fact there was lots of space on the lawn area for loungers and you could position yourself under a tree away from the crowd which was nice. Entertainment not great but lots for children inlcuding mini aqua park. Drink - as normal not all drinks are under AI programme but nearly everything is - like d the fact that the hotels beer choice was tuborg rather than something turkish so it snice to be able to drink as much tuborg as you want. turkish wines a bit dry but passable. same with their cognac. internet - none in room only free wifi in lobby, didnt work on my pc but i think windows vista issue rather than hotels issue most others goit it to work , easier not to carry pc and useinternet cafe in lobby which is cheap and not busy a la carte restaurants - mexican very good recommend the fajitas, italian one not worth going to except for comedy value, had a terrible pizza. If you recognise up front that 'real 5 star' and 'all inclusive' are mutually exclusive this hotel ranks pretty highly. its the best ive been to in turkey and would consider going back, although there are so many five stars near antalya....Incidentally i also commend cesars temple, also in belek."

Much better than we expected!
"A quiet place to relax and enjoy sun, beach and pool. There is no disco at night and you are able to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere especially when you are travelling with children. Great night animation shows!"

Very nice hotel with large garden area
"We recently stayed at the Barceló Tat Beach Hotel in Belek and it was great! It takes about 40 minutes to get from Antalya Airport to the hotel and we did well booking the private transfer service which the hotel offers. Afterwards I realized that the hotel transfer is even cheaper than taking a taxi at the airport The rooms are comfortable and it seems that they have been renovated about a year ago. The bathroom looks a little bit older than the room but all necessary equipment was working properly. The sea-facing rooms offer amazing views over the Mediterranean Sea.. A very good point was that the air conditioning switches off automatically when you open the window, a great energy saving measure! The hotel has a large garden and beach area and you always find free sun shades and sun beds, even waking up late. The food was nice and tasty and the staff very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel."

"This was an expensive vacation, but very cheep experience. I have so many complaints, I donât know where to start from. When we checked in, we were given two rooms, one of which had a strong smell of something like rat poison. We called the front desk and asked for another room. Instead they sent housekeeping to spray the room with a room freshener that didnât smell any better than the room itself. In fact when this two smells got mixed the room smelled worst. One hour later we were given another room on a different floor, which later on we found out had ants. The smell from the kitchen was in the room every night. Since the AC did not work while we were out of the room when we got back it took some time to chill the room and get rid of the onion/lamb smell. I get chills when I think about it!!! It seemed like we were the only English speaking people there. The employees only spoke Russian, and every time we needed help we had hard time communicating with everyone. It was very common to hear from the front desk employees that they did not have an answer to our question, or that they could not do anything about the issues we had. The food was discussing!!!! I have been to several all inclusive hotels in Turkey, and this was the worst 5 star cuisine ever. There was limited selection of food, breakfast was always the same, dinner was always grilled lamb or chicken with rice and potato, and lunch was whatever could be prepared with the left over ingredients from dinner. For example, if there was grilled lamb for dinner, than lunch would be lamb hearts. The juice was made from powdered concentrate that left color on your tongue and you could not get rid of it for several hours. The deserts were pretty much the same every day, made from the same dough and covered with different color icing. The culmination of the âgreatâ culinary experience was a basket of moldy bread. The mold patches were so big that a blind person could see them, but their kitchen employees for some reason were unable to notice them. It made me wander what else they canât see!!! What was actually put in those mysterious soups and stews? I was very angry and made my anger known that night. Iâm sure the cooks themselves donât feed their kids with food like the one they served in the restaurant. So long story short, for the whole stay of 7 days all of us (4 adults and 1 child) ate 5 star bread and butterâ¦â¦ The Italian and Mexican a la carte restaurant that you can use only once during your stay (was supposed to serve great food) was not any better than the buffet. The difference was that someone served it for you. The day before we left we called the front desk and asked for taxi for the following day. We emphasized we were 5 people, and wanted a comfortable car to take us to the airport. Guess what, when we were ready to leave there was a compact car waiting for usâ¦After another complaint we were âupgradedâ to a midsize car that smelled like âpoopâ , one of us sat in anotherâs lap and we prayed that we get to the airport alive. The only OK thing about the resort was the beach, but If you are looking for a good spot you need to get up very early and reserve it."

Only go if you can speak Russian!!
"This hotel was supposed to be 5 star and it didn't come anywhere close to it! We chose it on the basis of the Leisure facilities especially the tennis courts - we were shocked to find out that the tennis coach had gone on holiday for weeks and had locked up all the equipment. The staff told us there would be no tennis until he got back - after serveral fights with the unhelpful reception they eventually gave us old equipment. We were looking forward to trying golf but were then advised as we didnt have a handicap the course would be out of bounds!! The room was nice and kept tidy but the sea view we paid extra for was bairly visible. The food was quite good and there was lot's of variety. Our main dislike about this hotel was that the other guests were 95% Russian as a result all of the entertainment and trip advice was in Russian - there were no english speaking tours which was really disappointing. The bar and entertainment staff with the exception of a couple were so rude and unhelpful - we felt very marginalised and ridiculed as we were British. Had there been any reviews on this hotel I would never have booked it and will not be returning to Antalya."

Not a happy stay!
"We were the only English speaking guests over a two week stay, which impeded our enjoyment. We had stayed there 6yrs before and enjoyed it then.....the whole ethos had changed for the worse. Staff in general were unhelpful and unfriendly. Food was good."

Five star price two star hotel
"The food standard is about the level of 5$ all you can eat buffet. The staff are off hand and seem to run the hotel for themselves rather than the guests. With 100 seats in the al a carte there is never going be space for all to sample this feature. You have to book 24 hours in advance at 9.00 o clock in the morning. The in door pool is unheated. There is a general run down air about the place. The entertainment was very poor as well. There is good access to a good beach."
